What an incredible talent…Paolo is amazing…the issue here is that people like this, do NOT get the recognition deserved…they put garbage on the radio…because many cannot listen to songs with meaningful lyrics

I'm from the town in Scotland where Paolo is from, and we love him, and he is big in his own right in the UK, but he deserves much more.

Criminally underated artist. Probably one of the best if not best British artist in the last 2 decades.
Mainstream is ordinary, Paolo is anything but, he's exceptional
Paolo is a timeless force of nature. He's progressed from the shy young man on stage of his early years into a real power house. On his recent tour for his wonderful album, Last Night in the Bittersweet, he has just really come into his own. You should definitely look into more of his stuff.

Pretty much all the shite about today gets lauded/praised/glorified but real music like this song from this truly great artist, will never get the recognition it deserves because it's real with words that are true, meaningful and powerfully performed to perfection!! I'm gobsmacked!! ❤
Whenever I hear Paolo sing, my body reacts in one way or the other. Mostly its my breath that is taken away until I find myself grasping for air. Or it is the knot in my stomach. His band is just wonderful as well!

Scotland gave 'The American Dream' to America. The English didn't want it until almost 30 years later.
It's one of those performances you don't want to ever end, but you're also not sure you can make it all the way through its so overwhelming.
Paolo has so many great songs with excellent live performances... another true classic is EVERYWHERE live at the bittersweet.
Paulo sings with every fibre of his being. A masterpiece from a beautiful soul. And every other member of the band and the backing singers were absolutely at the top of their game.
Absoloutely loving watching all these paolo reactions on youtube. From the very first time i heard these streets on the radio as a young teen ive followed him religiously. Paolo is god. Generational talent check out one of his latest tunes called Everywhere. One of the best songs of the last decade.
you should listen to more of this guys songs there all heartfelt and passionate and his voice is truly exceptional.

HOLY WOW!!!! OMG!!! i met **Paolo Nutini** after a show he did when he was just starting out he was 19 at the time & i totally totally thought for SURE he was going to be THE next BIG thing ALL over the world!!! he made his debut here anyway on a local morning news show that is when i very 1st saw him & right there & then is when i was like OMG this dude is going to be **HUGE** alas it never happened here anyway...BUT he did sign my T shirt & doodled a lil character on it & he seemed very shy BUT his drummer at the time ha he was out there waiting on Paolo with us having a kick ass time he was freakin hilarious kept asking us to go have drinks with them heh & course i have a **MadCrush** on anyone with a scots accent so i was goners for them both man did i have such crush on Paolo back then ha insane & was oh so very disappointed when the BIG break did come to be but WOW **Thank YOU** so much for bringing back such a **HappyBeautifulMemoryForMe** Ha YAY **PixieTwirls** OH the very 1st song i heard him sing on that morning show was **New Shoes** perhaps at some point ya will check that one out sigh wow **Thank YOU** once again **GoodTimesGoodTimes** **PixieHugz&LuvzGaloreToALL**

Paulo did actually hit the mainstream I think in the early to mid 00s. I can't say for sure what happened but I know a lot of artists who make it big off a massive debut album or a hit single the label sends them on a global tour to maximize profits and they don't have time to write a second album, so the radio play stops while they're on tour, then when the tour is over the fickle masses have forgotten they existed. I've seen the same thing happen to a lot of artists who make it big suddenly.
I do think it's important to recognize that just because an artist isn't being played on the radio every day doesn't mean they're not a success. I'm pretty sure Paolo still sells out massive theaters when he's on tour. You are right that it's a shame the industry is so dominated by corporate shills who are basically just glorified karaoke singers, all singing other people's songs with absolutely no real emotion. Hopefully that is changing slowly as labels start to lose more power and artists are controlling their own futures.
Also, little fact for you... Adele was in the building when this was being filmed and she sneaked into the studio to watch. So behind the camera Adele was watching this and according to her she was totally gobsmacked by it.

I dont think he wants to be massove, he brings out an album like every 6 years, he is signed to a massive label, he got discovered at like 16 or somwthing. He is a a legend and thsi song, this version in particular is one of the greatest thinga ever recorded, so beautiful and breathtaking... i forgot about Paolo Nutini, used to be a fan as a schoolkid, but one day diting pandemic had youtube playing songs randomly and their algorithms blessed me with this track.... just immaculate, every thing in this, paolo nutinis voice, the band, the backing singers, makes you speechless, want to cry, im a grown man btw 😂

It is very difficult to judge where we are as a species and people really. As you said every decade has is gripes, worries and wars to worry about. This is the first few with Global communication and that could play a huge part in the future. Or not. Who knows. There was a time when RJ’s would have given this all the radio time it deserved, taken special pride in that they were the ones highlighting new talent, and would invest in their choices. It was personal. Not so anymore now obviously. I am waiting for the cycle to reset. Hope it happens soon. I really think we are testing the boundaries with the influx of AI. Maybe I will get lucky.
