This is the kind of musical talent they dont want the masses to listen to because it moves the soul it wakes you up from the false reality and creates a burning desire to fight and feel!
Adele was in the same room while this was recorded and said it is the best live performance she has ever witnessed and she's not wrong his voice and soul are beyond words.
I'm English and I haven't heard him on the radio since his first album but I discovered his later stuff a couple years back and my god that third album is another level. He's gone dark since 2014 tho, I wonder what he's up to.
Danish person here, and I have never underrated him. But I definitely agree, that he is WAY underrated in general. I loved him from the first time I heard his first album, even saw him live. My first teen celeb crush and SO sad that we havent heard new music in so many years. WE NEED HIM TO MAKE NEW MUSIC!!
Possibly the greatest live performance of all time, I'm no kidding, this Scotsman is a braveheart with so much passion, I am a true Scot. Freedom is great.🏴🏴🏴
Watched Paolo at Glastonbury from standing by the stage and I was hypnotised, Ive since seen him three times and as a 68 year old Englishman i am soo pleased I got to witness this man, males me cry every time i listen to him
I completely agree! I wish he would share more of his amazing soul. If there’s any one musician I could choose to see live it would be him. What a gift.
this song has so much depth it's almost unreal. if it were released in the 70s, 80s or even 90s it would now be considered an iconic soul or R&b classic; and his career in the U.S. would've been massively huge. unfortunately songs with this much depth, meaning, and artistry just don't reach people the way they should or used to in the past. it's almost like we're too hardened in our ways to allow these sentiments expressed to reach us in the ways that matter.
Yeah unfortunately this is a level of musical/lyrical excellence we dont deserve to the point that it goes unnoticed. Sad, at least for the ones who aint heard
Yes he is an absolutely amazing singer, he lives about 4 miles from me and occasionally you meet him having a beer and he's an absolute gentleman and so down to earth
I first saw Paolo Nutini in some hole in the wall in London when he was around 18. This skinny kid with floppy hair came onto the little stage, opened his mouth and just blew everyone away! I moved back to NYC around the time he released his first album but every time he plays stateside, I drag all my friends to hear him. I think he's so under rated!
He's very much a hidden gem as far as the States go... it's very rare that I meet anyone stateside who knows who he is, and I've been listening to him for years now... since I heard Last Request and Found the Sunny Side Up album. Yet, it's still rare to find someone here who knows of him . It's crazy.

“Mass confusion spoon fed to the blind, serve’s now to define our cold society from which we’ll rise” is one of the best lyrics ever written, this is my favourite song, it perfectly illustrate’s the times we are living in. It’s a master piece ❤
Your reaction is exemplary. This is one of the greatest songs ever made. It is more relevant now than ever. They want us to be machines, they want to remove us as humans and replace us. We must break through the iron sky, or we are doomed.
This song just transports you to your soul. Every note is perfect, musically it is perfect and you can literally hear every single individual sound from the band and backing singers. So appropriate for these times. This is genuinely one of the best and emotional all round live performances I have heard. Paolo Nuttini is one of the most talented and criminally underrated singer songwriters of his generation.
He's sensational, I was never, and probably still not what you'd call a 'Fan' but this song is on another stratosphere when it comes to quality and composition.
I LOVE that there are so many people who appreciate this music for what it’s meant to be! So much emotion, soul, music that speaks to your heart in a way that you can’t put into words and the message it portrays. Absolutely incredible ❤
Oh the background singers man…they almost sound like pad effects at a point…I absolutely love this abbey road version…so glad you did this one…this is just majestic as hell…
Only found this song a few days ago and binged listening to it. Watched live performances and covers the past few days. Today coming in from my break at work and it was actually on the radio!!!!
Has sent chills down my spine every time I've played this track (hundreds of times) . Love Paolo, and have done since I first heard him in 2006. For me, up there with Kate Bush, Pink Floyd and Santana. This track is 🔥
Some will say one of, but for me, the most powerful, meaningful, message delivering song ever written - accompanied by one of the most soulful, powerful voices. Yes Paolo. Scotland's gift to the world 🙌
I've seen this clip so many times and i never tire of how incredible it is. Probably his best song. Not my favourite of his but it has everything and done live it sounds absolutely amazing. How is this guy not more popular, i cannot think of too many better artists..
Never heard of this guy or song until just now 🤔 but wow just wow. I will be listening to him from now onwards. What a voice and with so much emotion. I'm guessing this guy is fully awake in what is really going on in this life right now. Absolutely brilliant.

Paolo Nutini une voix incroyable un chanteur qui non seulement à cette voix si particulière mais donne aussi vie à la chanson qu'il interprète . Il est énorme
Paolo is so underrated it’s unreal!.. I have vast musical tastes depending on mood and vibe but I really could listen to him all day. There is so much going on and so many guises and styles and depths to the music. The lyrics have soul and meaning and he lives every song he performs. This guy is soooo unique and special. I came across that song yesterday and when Paolo opened his mouth I was floored. This is music from another level...

Our Paolo is King of Scotland. A god amongst men.
Best male vocal performance of our generation.
