LMAO that’s not fat! I do the same with Uncle John’s BBQ and Dat Donut lol. It’s a combo meal 😂 I have not tried Soul Veg - I am definitely going to try it soon. Seems like an interesting spot. Brown Sugar Bakery is always on point. The cakes are addictive and delicious. I appreciate it - Southside is 🧡💯
Yes this channel is very educational purpose while you're doing these walking tours Peaceful Explorations. My mom and dad was kinda worried when I told them that I went to the Southside of Chicago with my husband when we met. Me and him was born in the year of 2000. I remember my dad would take me to the Metra station to watch the trains come by back in Winnetka since he knew that I love trains with a passion when I was a kid and teen years. I love our home by the Indiana Dunes so I could bike ride to the lakefront. I sure do miss the Green Bay bike trail. I used to take that to Downtown Evanston and Wilmette. I miss the snowball fights my mom, dad, my sister and best friend had when I was a kid. My mom grew up in Oak Park and my dad from Winnetka.
I truly appreciate that! It’s so many memories that are embedded in us growing up. My husband is from the west side of Chicago and I’m from the south side. There are so many things we’re learning together about the city in general. Especially the southside and how many people didn’t have to go out of their neighborhoods for anything. They had everything there. Amusement parks - theaters - roller rinks - restaurants - everything. I truly love that about your home and Downtown Evanston. Watching videos makes me also think about growing up and the different places we would go. It’s so much fun and so much history around the city that I just love it. 🧡🧡🧡
75th St , east of the Ryan Expressway. My dry cleaner is on the same block as Lem's BBQ. You can see it (Paris Dry Cleaners) at point 5:15 in the video. I travel from my home over15 miles away to this dry cleaner. They do good work.
I’ll have to try them one day - we sometimes go to the one in Hyde Park. But I heard this one and Pride Cleaners is too. And Lems 🤤 the food is so good. Go from Lems to Brown Sugar Bakery lol.
I love Lem’s BBQ - it is so good 😊 I like Uncle John’s too. I can’t say which is better lol. I like Brown Sugar Bakery and Dat Donut too BUT Roseland has Old Fashioned and that is top tier for me 😂
I left Chicago 15 yrs ago, but I miss my hometown a lot. The crime keeps me from ever coming back. Thanks for the memories, though. That's my old neighborhood.
I really have to try Soul Veg - I haven’t tried that yet. Brown Sugar Bakery has great cakes - I love it. This is why I have a sweet tooth lol. That’s understandable - my mom doesn’t eat pork either - it makes her sick. I’ve heard people mention the Just Turkey place on 44th and Cottage I believe. I heard it was good - if you haven’t tried that.
Yes! It’s 75th and State Street. I’ve been there a few times. The lines are long but that is every Walgreens now. 50th and Cottage is so much worse lol.

Not a problem at all! I love Chicago - it is home. I hate the violence as well though so I do understand that!
I enjoyed your video, thank you for sharing and bearing the cold weather.❤

@@peacefulexplorations Haven't been to Soul Veg since Lenard Clark. Old time Chicagoians know the story.
Not a pork eater, but the meat on the grill permeates the air...with a good smell!!
@@Imissyoulou i know the story
Big Sam's used to be 24/7 until the pandemic hi. Now it closes at 11pm i think....
I like that food mart lol. And yes it closes way earlier now.
Its a Walgreens rt there on State street

Walgreens plans to close down a lot of store and some are in the Black communities. I hope this one survives.

Until that lady! 😂
😂😂 I tried to let her go around me lmao
Your alcohol is so much cheaper than in Canada.
Wow. I heard Canada was expensive. How much would your alcohol cost?
