Do you think it will be accepted on dressy occasions when on a leather strap, or would it be very out of place in such an environment? I might get this as an "one watch collection"-watch. Or at least for the time being (currently not that much disposable income to invest into different pieces, and also not that many dressy occasions in my life tbh).

I wouldn’t worry about it. The most formal dress occasions or “black tie” events are supposed to exclude wristwatches entirely because it’s traditionally considered rude to check the time at such events.
I’d say this watch is simple enough to dress up and sporty enough for casual attire too.

I mean if you have watched Entourage Ari wears an AP Royal Oak with his suits and that is as aggressive in shape and design as this so definitely doable. It’s a great watch

Great review! This has been on my radar for a while now as a travel watch (I do not travel with my Rolex). The butterfly clasp is the only thing keeping me from purchasing. It is a great price point considering where CW and Farer are positioned.

Yes, the butterfly clasp would do it for me as well as I generally can’t wear bracelets without small micro adjust capability due to my wrist size fluctuating. This does have a single on the fly adjust but that is it. Otherwise this thing is insanely good!

As an Aqua Terra owner, I'm temped to sell it and get one of these.
Omega's bracelet is terrible and it's hard to justify owning a $4k watch that lives on an aftermarket strap.

I actually recently did half of that. I sold my Omega because it was on an aftermarket strap that worked great but something bugged me that I could use the bracelet it came on. The Omega bracelet had zero micro adjustments (not even with spring bar) and I can only wear a bracelet that is well-fitting
