Listened to this rendition dozens of times and the tuba absolutely kills it and Toni, you did Robbie proud.
As huge fan of The Band this is a really great rendition!!!
As an old (61) tuba player from Levon Helm's home state of Arkansas I love this cover. I love everything you guys do. You're so talented! Keep up the good work.
I am 55 years old and I so dig this. One of my favorite songs ever...WELL DONE!!!!!
Very nice groove with the Tuba. That is pretty high up there on the cool meter!
Beautiful good to hear the tuba 🤗
That was awesome. The tuba was perfect. You had a really good arrangement on this.
Agreed, excellent arrangement for all 3 and the tuba was great!
Six years later and it's still Fantastic!
It is Sunday evening and I'm sitting here with my laptop playing through my HiFi listening to my utube mix of Reina and Toni and friends. Brilliant!
The Tuba player is amazing. I love this cover. Y'all did a great job.
I'm really loving this. Not just this cover, which is excellent, but your whole Sunday morning series, which have all been excellent. It's a great eclectic mix of modern and classic tunes, sensitively performed, and each given your own singular style. Really well done. Nice work.
.
And I was just thinking there aren't enough guitar/tuba match-ups in pop!... (Well, not since Leon Redbone, at least...)
Awesome work, ladies! Levon and the crew would be proud...
We got yer tuba skillz, yer guitar skillz, yer vocal skillz, and a great jam of a song. What more could you want?!
Seriously fantastic, ladies!
So, I never liked The Band growing up, but as I got older, I started to "get it". Last weekend, a band I was in tried this song live on stage without rehearsal - and it was a hit. Pretty good (for us) considering we'd never played it, which made me today start looking up RUclips clips of the real thing to hear how badly I'd played it.
And I came across THIS - which is pure awesome. Seriously, this is one of the best things musically I've seen in a really long time. So much character and uniqueness, and you all played it really well. Thank you for making my day (and possibly my week)...
i love this song. the match up between tony and grace just amazing. please, please more of this
Just love Tuba Girl Grace! Reina & Toni are not too bad either. Also love Josh Turner and Allison Young. This is a 78-year-old ex-military & civil airline pilot retired here in beautiful Dorchester, England. Such a lovely set of new young musicians coming up. Gives me hope in this sad world. Keep it up boys and girls
I’ve got a fever, and the only cure is more tuba.
sten willander 👍🏼😂👍🏼
I've got that tuba fever too.
That's funny... who needs a cowbell.
well said sten
Man I haven’t ever been feelin a tuba till now!
OMG, Tuba Girl, she's back! And actually playing the tuba this time which is awesome.
up ! missed TubaGirl22 ! this sounds great !
A tuba never sounded so good...
That is what I thought "Awesome" Always looking for a new sound. This is better than the original.
Ophelia was written by Robbie Robertson around 1968 or 1969 and
recorded by a group that called themselves "THE BAND"
@@louiekidd251 :-/
Is that a tuba or a souzaphone? It looks too big to be a tuba.
Fab!!! Just love it. We have a trumpet player who occasionally sits in on our folk sessions at our local pub. It always adds a certain "je ne sais quoi" as the tuba does here.
As a massive The Band fan I rarely listen to Utube covers of their songs and, to be honest, I don't know why I chose to click on this version. I have to say I was blown away. The performance was unself-conscious and beautifully understated, and the arrangement was perfect. I'm definitely going to check out more of their material. 👌👌🪕🎷👌
This is a fantastic cover of Ophelia!
I watch a ton of these videos every day but I have to say I always come back to this specific one. Just can't get over it especially when you first start singing. Would love to hear you cover more by The Band. Anything from The Last Waltz (I assume you've seen) is a treat to hear.
Can't get enough of it! Love all of it. Can't pick just one part of it. I mean without the tuba..... but then without the "gold girl's" guitar...... and then Reina's voice. Fantastic!
The Band is one of my favorite bands, and this I one cover I would have never thought anyone would attempt. You ladies did a superb job with this, as well as the many other songs you have done on this series.
Just came to know you guys 10 minutes ago. I had a great time listening to you. Pure simple group of musicians. I'm loving you now ❤️❤️❤️
Woah, was looking for Ophelia by Lumineers, but boy do I thank God I stumbled onto this!
Great Choice, saw the Band at Summer Jam 1973 Watkins Glenn was the best concert I’ve been to, oh the memories of that weekend
Thank You for hearing you playing this song
Love 💕 You All
Just have to be the one and only cover of this song😮. You girls are crazy God bless you
❤ Never been in love with a tuba player.... Until now 😍😛🥰
This may actually be my absolute favorite
Cover of any song
You three crushed it !
Ahhh...The Band!!!
Love your rendition!
For some of us who grew up w/ this wonderful music & through a great musical era, this is terrific, fantastic, a real joy to enjoy! (Largely because it's so bloody well done!)
I cant stop watching this.
It makes me so happy.
One of my favorite songs by the Band. Very well done. Nice rhythm going! Love that tuba sound.
These young ladies are so damn good, and they brighten every Sunday morning, and The Band is my favorite group ever, and for God's sake, the tuba player is superb....the cherry on top of this Sunday. Thanks, ladies.
Y'all know good music. Great to see you young'ns playing these songs. There is hope!
From a tuba fanatic: Great job on introducing the tuba to play the bass part of this music. It comes together very well. Simple and tô the point. Well done!
You ladies are fantastic. This is an inspired and completely original take on an inspired and completely original song.
Found this in 2017. Simply amazing cover of my favorite band. Great job ladies
Hello ladies. I only wanted to say thank you for your tunes. Ophelia is a one of my favorites. I bought all of the Band's records usually the day they were released on vinyl. You guys choice of material for your "Sunday Mornings" rodeo is wonderful. May I respectfully suggest a Tom Waits. If you want to stay with the era, Mamas and Papas maybe Byrds, especially The Easy Rider record. Keep up the good vibes. Peace, Love and Flower Power from an old hippy.oh yeah, Dylan, Forever Young?
8)
Ol '55 :)
Forever young Dylan and Pete Seeger version
WOW!!!! I am blown away with this trio's cover of this song. Ladies, fantastic job - I love it!
Oh Lord, THat's just FANTAstic. Great stuff ladies....
Like a fine cigar from Cuba, you gotta love the sound of tuba!
Found you by accident Jambalaya was my intro loved it ,there wasnt a follow up link but came back and started to search You have my heart ,you perform some of my favorite songs of all time
That was delightful, I haven't seen many covers of The Band, and you lot were great. Subbed!
Excellent Rendition.. Tuba playing A+ Loved that last note !! Like you said Awesome!!
Awesome!! Love the Band, and this song! Great version.
to Ms. del Cid, Ms. Lindgren, & all friends of the aforementioned: Keep bringin' the awesome.
Goosebumps! (in the best way). Just had to sing the harmonies myself to complete the song :D
Imagine finding this gem on YouTuba. Amid the velvety vocals, the lead guitar licks evoke memories of Robertson's 'strangled' playing style. I'm charmed out of my boots.
I just Seen you for the first time yesterday and subscribed, you are fun and so good at what you do, Im so happy to watch you sing and play with your friends! All i can say is WOW! Your awesome and thanks
I would love to hear you perform "It Makes No Difference"
KCTarantulas I cry with this song!!!!
I'll second this request!

Wow you guys are cool! I just found these Angels! Some of my favorite covers and incredible original songs too!
Thank you ladies, brought a tear to an old guys eye. You were, are awesome!
Great job with the song and love the tuba !! I played the tuba in grade school and it was a blast . This is true music and you can actually make out the words to this song . Keep rocking those songs and music.......best wishes for you gals !!
Love your stuff... this version would've been stellar either way... but the TUBA adds so much! Genius! This is awesome! Keep up the great work!
I knew I will find this song on this channel. Heard it the first time yesterday, and then searching for its covers.
Well done, love the way the tube walks through the tune like it owns it.
The best cover of this song ever! Loved it.
This is one of the more unique videos you have done with the tuba...love it
I love these ladies....what a musical treasure they are....love the tuba.
This is so wonderful. Everything about it. The soulful vocal, those tasty licks- and that tuba os the cherry on top!
Beautiful! Such a class cover x
This is the first time I have heard this and I gotta say you need tuba songs. Love you guys. I had tix for indy but I will just have to wait
WOW! Way more than I was expecting!
Just discovered this - fabulous
Love it This is the true spirit of the Band. They'd be so proud.
great - this tune is on my short list (partly because the great bass line) but my mom used to play the tuba (she was the youngest in a large family I think it was the only instrument left haha)
So I’m loving you guys, and this is my favorite!
Gosto muito dessas meninas, são muito profissionais, a menina da guitarra entao, que técnica! !.
It is fantastic to see young people who appreciate the work of my favorite band from many years ago. Great job on the song, ladies. P.S. You need to put that tuba to work on "The Night They Drove Ole Dixie Down."
LOVE that tuba player. Hope you see this and can pass on my compliments. Nice to see a tuba player featured😃
8-11-18 that's the day I became a fan of Reina Del Cid. I will definitely share it with all my friends. I love your song choices, and there aren't enough female lead guitarists in the world. Good on you, keep it up
Love the vibe. Been a huge Band fan since 1968 and found very few who could cover their masterpieces, but this one is very sweet. Together with Nora Jones' rendition of Bessie Smith, this is my favorite Band cover by a female performer.
I'm late to the party on this one by what...over 5 years. It was worth the wait. Lovin' it and well played!
I just love the addition of the not so usual instruments in your songs.
Toni is such a talent. And she has a beautiful smile.
jeez, great song choice guys! that tuba sounds so Kool. everything is coming together so nicely :)
Love the vibe the tuba brings !! Kinda gives the song a Orleans sound
That was F'ing fantastic! Pure genius using the tuba!
Of course! Using a tuba for bass... why has that escaped me all these years? Keeping it fresh, I see! Wonderful vid, Reina, Toni, and Tuba Girl... !
You all rock. Toni, that guitar playing...😎
Love the tuba! Brilliant!
I just loved it ! thanks and keep on trucking
That was very refreshing! I miss those guys!! keep playing!!
Fantastic! Great arrangement and performance!
May I suggest the addition of an elderly gentleman with a gravelly voice on vocals?
But in G.
My range ain't what it once was.
LOVED this. TY, ladies!
Levon
she has a bit of the Levon look in her eyes
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This music makes me so happy thank you!!
Tantissimi 👏👏👏👏👏alla signorina con tuba complimenti!!!
Alessandro 🎼🎵🎶🎺
I love the crispness of the sound and the effort. I honestly enjoyed the listen. Great job Reina, Toni and Grace. You can never play a sad song with a tuba either, I think? Some of these experiments work exceptionally well. Stale and lifeless is a bad thing for both people and musical compositions.
Once again, absolutely awesome! Dig the tuba!!
Love this you guys. Wow just too good!!!!! 🎉❤
That is probably the best version of this song I have heard. Man, that Tuba and guitar solo at the end just finishes the song. How does one get the sheet music for this song?
It's really good but Al, have you not seen "The Last Waltz"?
E-chords...no sheet music but chords and lyrics. I'm not schilling...
Wer hat die Kokosnuss
You just learn by listening, by ear. If you need sheet music for every song you want to play, you'll have very limited repertoire. Just like the ones who need "tabs" for everything.
You folks amaze me! Brava!
I was playing “Air Tuba” during this.Well done.
You guys are brilliant! Love the tuba!
the girl with the tuba was awesome!
Omg that was AMAZING!
Bravo! I think Levon and The Band would be proud!!
great Reina and the band!
