  • Ever wonder how a self-cleaning oven works? Traditional self-cleaning cycles heat the oven between 800-900 F and turn spills to ash so you can easily wipe them away.
Before turning on and setting your oven to self-cleaning mode, there are some steps you should follow. First, remove loose items and wipe down the inside of your oven to reduce damage and smoke during the cycle. Once you've done that, run the self-clean cycle and wait for the oven to cool down before opening it again. Lastly, once your oven is completely cool, wipe the inside with a damp cloth to remove excess ash, and do not scrub with any chemicals. Enjoy your clean oven after!
