My convection oven has the heating element exposed below the bottom rack. Thoughts on how to approach this?
You can dampen a towel with white vinegar or a similar cleaning solution, and clean around it. Just make sure to not use any harsh chemicals or get the element itself wet. And of course you shouldn't put excess force or use any abrasive sponges on the bottom of your oven.
Does this only work with a convection oven? I just have a standard one.
This would also work on a non-convection oven! Instead you could bring the temperature up to 325 instead of 300. Just as long as you are getting some steam.
what about ruining the warranty i heard you have to do the self cleaning because they have this covering on it or something. The other guy who did another video didnt say lemon he just said put it on broil with vinegar in a pyrex bowl
