    My slide in dual gas/electric range is 14 years old. Never had a problem using the self cleaning cycle. ALWAYS remove racks and clean oven by hand with a damp cloth before starting clean cycle. Also, when completely cool wipe away ashy residue. However, yesterday after cooling when I went to wipe out the ashy reside had settled permanently on the interior. I have tried to clean with hot cloth, vinegar and water and cannot get the discoloration to disappear. Suggestions/help on how to remedy this?? Thanks!

      Put on rubber gloves! Ball up piece of aluminum foil to the size of a golf ball. Sprinkle a good amount of backing soda directly on the glass. Then spray tap water or vinegar to the backing soda. The backing soda will begin to bubble. Then start scrubbing the glass with the ball of foil. The grease will start to come up. Wipe clean with a damp cloth or wet paper towel. If spots remain repeat the process.

    Just curious has anybody had a problem with their frigidaire gas oven where they can't get the self cleaning mode to stop, I had to disconnect my door switch to get door to open and once I turned the power back onto it, the self cleaning mode won't stop even after 3-6 hours of running, it isn't heating up, you can you just hear the cleaning fan or whatever is making that noise. I can't use my oven for cooking, it's stuck in cleaning mode, can anyone give me advice?

      Reconnect the door switch. Turn the breaker off, at the electric panel. Wait a few, then turn back on. See if that resets the computer in it. Hope this helps. Everything is run by computers, now. I have a dryer that won’t come on, occasionally. Have to do the breaker thing, then it’s ok.

    I purchased the Frigidaire electric stove last month, but Im going to return it .Yesterday I used the front and back burner at the same time, and when I touch the side of the stove i t was so hot I almost burnt myself. Im disappointed in it when you open the top its so thin, the company said they would send someone to fix it but I really dont know how they could. LOWES said they would take it Back.

    I do not enjoy cooking anymore! Anytime I cook on the range... no matter what I cook, the range top gets splattered! WHAT A MESS everywhere, the backsplash, the tile, you name it! I have never had a issue with cooking and splattering. I am such a clean freak! This range is the MOST work when it comes to cooking. I don't want it. I can cook something simple as one egg, no oil, just butter, and "splatter" all around the burner and then some! It takes me more time to clean this fricken range than worth the time making one scrambled egg.
    I had a Frigidaire gallery built in oven and microwave in my previous house and I loved them! So when it came to purchasing a new home and appliances (range was the slide in type) I thought the Frigidaire Gallery brand would be great. I wish I could send it back! It's prettier than most, although the knobs and control panel on the front are very sensitive. I clean the surface (front and top since splatter is even on the front!) and certain commands come on! I press against the knobs unaware, (to reach the back of the range), and have almost burnt my arm as a burner comes on! There needs to be a "lock" on the controls for cleaning! Honestly wish I could find a way to cook on this range and not have a huge clean up afterwards.

    • @mjp5129

      I think that means door open. Do you have a lock lever, (right above the door) that you have to slide over? I had one like that before. If not than the door is not closing all the way, but I believe it has to do with that lever. Push it all the way over till you hear it lock. Good luck.

      It sounds like the door latch may not be responding; the self-clean will not start unless it is locked! Try shutting off power to the oven for 30-120 seconds to reset the computer. If the door is still not latching, please contact us by Live Chat or by phone at 800-374-4432 Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 8:00pm EST so we can help you further! ~Ashton

      Good day! We are sorry to hear that you have had to deal with these circumstances. F-90 means that
      your oven doesn't think the door latch is opening or locking properly, in other words, the door latch is in the wrong position even if it's not locked shut completely. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the F90 error on your range: power reset: try resetting the power to the range by unplugging it from the power outlet or turning off the circuit breaker for a few minutes. Then, plug the range back in or flip the circuit breaker back on and see if the error code clears.
      Check Door Lock Mechanism: Inspect the door lock mechanism and latch assembly for any visible signs of damage or obstruction. Make sure that the door is fully closed and latched properly. In the event that the tips provided do not resolve your concerns, please connect with us via live chat or by phone at 1-800-374-4432. Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-8 p.m. EST, and we will be happy to assist.

    What's the point of the self clean? At 46 seconds that thing is sparkling, so what's the point of running any cleaning program?

    • @Frigidaire
      @Frigidaire  Год назад

      Hi, Adam! The self clean is for tough-baked on stains and spills that are difficult to remove by scrubbing alone. If you keep your oven sparkling clean, you may have no need for it! Your Use and Care Guide should provide recommendations for cleaning the oven by hand, or advise if your model has a lighter Steam Clean option! ~Ashton

      Hi there! The F90 code means the electronic oven control board detects a problem with the door lock system. The F90 code can appear when you try to start a self-clean cycle, which uses the door lock. You might also see the F90 code when the self-clean cycle ends and the electronic control can't unlock the oven door.

      @Frigidaire  11 месяцев назад

      Good day! Thank you for dropping by! We are sorry to hear that you have had to deal with these circumstances. Here are some tips for doing a self clean. To self-clean your oven, follow these simple steps:
      1. Remove the oven racks.
      2. Set your oven control to clean.
      3. Select a cleaning time or choose a cleaning level: light, medium, or heavily soiled.
      For typical cleaning needs, we recommend that you select a cleaning time of three hours or choose the medium soiled setting. Select Start. (To set a delayed start, see your use and care manual.)
      Check the model to see whether it contains the self-clean function.
      Note: For safety reasons, the oven door will remain locked until the oven cools down. When it is sufficiently cool, the door will automatically unlock.

    Not being able to leave racks in while self cleaning is very inconvenient and extra work! Spent the most money on this range and this is the only oven that doesn’t allow to keep racks in. If I had known, I would not have purchased. Who ever thinks about asking about the racks in when purchasing? My 2 previous stoves allowed it.
