How much functionality will I get connected to schlage locks through ring alarm system? Will I be able to set different codes through the ring app? Will I be able to set a delayed lock? Be able to schedule a code for a certain time and date? Thanks in advance.
Ive been asking mysef the same question I guess I will have ro give it a shot. The shlage connect linked to Wink hub allows all the features you asked for. With the Samsung Smartthings it suck only gives you an app slide to open or close. With Ring I haven't gone through the trouble because it will require me to release the z-wave from Wink to add it on Ring. Which requires to reset the z-wave module so you can add it to a different hub.
@@Andyxaspikes That's great information right there. I have ring alarm system, Amazon echo with its zigbee hub and Philips hue. I've looking for information to decide between smartthings (read a lot of good reviews about it) or wink hub to connect to smart lock and whatever I decide to include in the future. I guess wink hub will be it. Thanks for the input.
Anytime, the Wink Hub so far is the best choice!!! I have try all of them LOL and the shlage connect through wink. It will enable alexa to lock the door. And the best of wink is the "robots" / scripts it pretty much works like IFTTT but even better! And with the reem water heater and thermostats you can create awes ok me robots. Also I recommend you the wink spotter and wink relay.
What app should be used for this lock? The Schlage Home app only provides the option for either Schlage Encode locks or Schlage Sense locks to be set up. I was able to pair the Schlage Connect lock with my Ring hub and Alexa. Am able to lock and unlock it via voice command. However, my understanding is that he Schlage app is necessary to perform programing functions that you would otherwise have to do manually. So, what is the specific Schlage app for the Schlage Connect Smart lock? Anyone?
Hi there. Thanks for reaching out. The Schlage Connect does not work with the Schlage Home App. The Schlage Connect z-wave lock works with Ring Alarm as a hub. @@SchlageLocksOfficial Thank you for your reply Jenny. However, there really isn't any programming with Ring documentation located within that link location. And, to be honest the documentation provided with the product is absurdly minimal. I have scanned the QR code on the back of the "Quick Start" guide and the result takes me to "instructions.allegion.com" where there is documentation for manual programming only. I have quite a few smart security devices and this is the first one that does not provide a method for programing options within an app. At least as far as I can tell at this point. Is this a case where Schlage refers the customer to Ring and Ring refers the customer to Schlage?

great idea just spend money on a deadbolt and wifi adapter and the deadbolt wont even get added to the schlage home app, waste of money, not one guide shows how to program with the app
