    I'll never figure out how Otani didn't win the MVP last year. Judge had an amazing season and beat the non-steroid HR record by one, but Ohtani was TOP FOUR in HRs, Wins, SOs and ERA. Simply unprecedented and leagues beyond what anyone has ever achieved in MLB. That would be amazing even in little league.
    Absolute travesty.

      Also he is guaranteed to hit the ball (fouls or flyout) at least once within every game. There were missed homeruns but the fact that he can make almost guarantee a contact hit in every game and hit at least 300+ ft on a flyout is pretty good. Seeing other players miss the ball (no fouls, no flyout), literally can't even make contact against his pitch is another level.

      @SonicCollectionsPs2Noises Shohei is famous of building great human relationships everywhere he goes and everybody he associates with. Shohei jokes, plays, and laughs along with his international teammates, coaches, and staffs every day as well as his opponents. Shohei even talks friendly, always smiles and greets to the umpires while also responds to both sides of fans all the time. Of course, many of those people are Americans. Shohei didn't go out of the stadiums (not only Yankees but other visiting stadiums too) because he wanted to concentrate fully on baseball. In addition, Shohei is too famous especially for last few years, too many fans would follow him and he might get squashed by the crowd and media which Shohei always faced in Japan since his high school years (hundreds and thousands of people would gathered around him if they found him at the street). Did you see the huge crowd waited right next to the Angels bus in Ohtani shirt or carried Ohtani board for just having a glance of Shohei outside of Fenway park after the game? Shohei would definitely worry for any injury of people and traffic jams might cost if he walked in the streets of NY. (P.S. Shohei couldn't go anywhere freely in Japan for years since he became the super baseball star since high school. This year the police and transportation securities needed to guard Shohei from thousands fans and 200+ media when he arrived at airports and train stations in Japan during WBC).

      Well, Shohei probably would find some other new toy pitches in the middle of the season 😂, just like he suddenly invented his sinkers in the last few months of the season. Like he suddenly started to throw slow curves in the last few innings (pretty curves like drawing rainbows bridging upon the corners of the batting box). The batters had No data of Shohei's curve balls because he hardly threw them to strike out batters. Yet Shohei all of a sudden gave them many curves while throwing 98 four-seams, cutters, sweepers, and sinkers in between.The batters were totally lost and had no idea of what's coming next😂.

    Shohei Ohtani is just incredible. What he is doing is just surreal. The same guy that hit a home run absolutely annihilates another team while on the mound. Guys, if Shohei develops a changeup and can master it....he would be even more unhittable. His fastballs top at 102 mph. Changeups look like fastballs approaching the plate. It's a very nasty pitch if done correctly. Gosh, Shohei, if you develop that, no hitter will stand a chance.

    • @surfwriter8461
      @surfwriter8461 Год назад +2

      He already has seven distinct pitches, causing hitters to flail at something they don't know is coming. But I too wonder why he hasn't developed a true changeup. However, his curve and his slider serve much like a changeup, each one a change of speeds and different movement. He can throw a 70 mph curve for a strikeout, looping in with 36 inches of downward break.

    • @slleung8979
      @slleung8979 Год назад

      @@surfwriter8461 I guess Shohei is still developing many more new pitches. In fact, Shohei said he actually started to throw Sweepers in Japan long time ago but the new official MLB baseballs made his sweepers even more effective than ever. I guess Shohei is continuing to invent many more new pitches all the time and he will show them to us when he thinks he needs them and manages them good enough for use like his sinkers. Shohei said there are many patterns of his sweepers and he would keep secrets of his patterns and ways of using them.
