Yes correct. It’s a very stretchy ribbing which accommodates beautifully on smaller head sizes too.

Yes absolutely. Decrease more if needed.

Yes but add two extra stitches for border which will make it easier to seam at the end.

Pattern says 5.5 needles but you are showing 6.0? and pattern says cast on 63 but you said 66.. .. so confused.

Make sure you have the correct tutorial for the pattern that you purchased. The pattern name is written at the top of the first page of the pattern. I have not added the listing for this hat to Etsy yet. I do have other versions which is what you have purchased.
