I was looking into those! I've been using soil and it's been going okay but I definitely think the sponges would make the unit overall cleaner. And yeah, the seedlings from them always seem to have some bugs in them!
Great review!! I agree on all your points- they are the same questions I asked myself when trying to decide to buy this. We live on the gulfcoast and trying to grow salad greens is almost impossible. Were you able to grow any of your own seeds and would you recommend this or the aerogarden for an inside salad stand?
Thank you! I have tried my own seeds, and I will be making a video on that soon, but I do love Aerogarden too and I would suggest it for leafy greens! I am also currently testing out a competitor to the Farmstand, so I'll tag you when I post in the next week or so!

Try using root riot sponges with your own seedling ❤ my lettuce grow seedlings were infested with gnats so I cleaned it and restarted the whole thing
