I was able to setup an older phone that did not have screen mirroring or cast function by using the instructions for iOS to connect to my home network. I used All Screen and LocalCast to detect the Anycast.

Hi there, I have connected many of these dongles to my 2020 Sony Bravia android Tv and streaming is constantly pulsing. Audio is perfect but picture pauses every second making it unwatchable. Nothing smooth about the picture whatsoever. If i borrow a friends older anycast, picture is perfect. Any idea what might be causing these new anycasts to pulse every second? This is my 3rd anycast brand in 2 weeks and it's getting frustrating.
It depends on the brands & models. But this one (Anycast m2) which i own too.... The latency is less than 1S. If you want for Android game streaming and mirror screening , I suggest you go for a bit more expensive WiFi HDMI dongles... There are many brands and models.... Search very well specially about the latency... 👍

Good tutorial. I found an unopened one of these from 2019 and thought this would be cool for work presentations. It display on the TV ok, in Miracast mode, but my Android Screencast must be different because it doesn't discover the device, and WiFi doesn't see any SSID that looks like Anycast. Junk Chinese tat, that I can't update.
Ever try using a LAN USB cable instead with Anycast? This type cable can be used with Chromecast, Fire TV, or other streaming devices to use device directly on LAN without WIFI use. Cable would look like USB power/WIFI cable that came with it, but instead of antenna end, there would be a RJ45 connector.
I got the AnyCast connected and I can mirror videos off my iPhone no problem but where I do have a problem is trying to use my Spectrum Cable TV app to mirror movies and TV shows. It not showing up. Using iPhone 8 with software version 15.5.
Every time I power on TV and choose AnyCast, always is AirPlay on! And every time I have to unplug AnyCast(becouse little button is towards TV back) and switch to Miracast. Question is, can I set up dongle to be always in Miracast mode to be by default when I turn on Tv ? Thanks
Am I rare? I stream everything through my AVR as I want to enjoy DTS, Dolby etc. There are situations where I can watch content on my iPhone but not on my firestick and at these time I want to connect HDMI to the AVR. Is this trial and error? Does AnyCast get around the HDCP police.

You go on your smartphone web search(google, edge, safari) and type the Internet adress (numbers) that appear on the tv, then it will give you the option to set up the wifi and conect to your Home router and presto! I spent 2 hours to learn this and set up the gadget hehehe! 😀

I used to get it working for kodi , to stream from my phone to tv , but very long ago now, i forgot how , i can connect to anycast , change the settings, wifi etc and all , but every app i start up says cant find device , ezmira can find it , but still wont do mutch more than that , does this work for me or not ? You must have an Android device, right? As different Android devices have different names about Miracast function. It may be not called screen mirroring on your device. Recommend you to download "wifi display helper" app in google play store, this app will help you locate the Miracast function.

Mistah Staley it can connect to your phone hotspot, but not on the same phone doing the stream :)

The only thing i have found that works without internet is the screenbeam mini 2, that is almost impossible to buy. The last one went for $70 on ebay.

You can use a laptop with it because it uses miracast, Miracast is default on windows but you might have to activate Wireless display feature.

Without a network, this dongle only supports mirroring. If you have a network, this dongle supports both mirroring and casting.
I would suggest used ptv3000 can find them on eBay and don't need network and just cast to it. Plus less glitchy.
