We made it! Final video of the 1996 Dodge Ram van conversion. Took me about 5 months to finish the build and Costed about 9k in total for everything. Money well spent! Its Finished & amazing.
Although its not perfect and I hit some hiccups along the way. I'm so happy with the adventure it brought me. I was able to step outside my comfort zone and was able to see some amazing places.
Living in this van has taught me a lot about living simplistically and trusting that everything will work out.
I'll be releasing pictures and YT shorts here soon with more content.
Please leave a comment and let me know if you had any questions regarding the build or would need help on yours!
I knew absolutely nothing about building vans and could say it turned out Perfectly for me! May not have been the best quality but it definitely got the job done everywhere else!

NIce build-out, but I'm interested in knowing the over-all condition of the van mechanically. What engine? How many miles? Some of these were real crappers, many were not and have long time owners who are happy. How is it with you? Asking because I have my eye on a 96 2500 Dodge van right now, but I have reservations about trading my Very Nice 1st Gen Grand Cherokee for it. PLus, I'd be giving up my capable 4x4 for a different kind of camping experience with more humans around. I do like vans, and had a couple nice ones back in the late 70's and early 80's, but those were different animals and nearly bombroof.

nice, looking Dodge van. I, just bought from a friend a 97, Dodge Ram 2500 high top conversion van for $900.00 I'm adding a few custom after market accessories to the inside out I removed the factory bed and both seats out of the middle and did a self build on the inside . get rid of some of the factory look and do a custom self build. soon I'm going to be removing the factory steering wheel and go with a walnut wood custom steering. again you're Dodge van looks great. Random vanners east coast VA. 2%

@@infernaldaedra if getting same year check the complete drivers shaft and box. Notorious for going bad and the parts are hard to find for it.

@@Michael_Bsky Mine's 1997 but maybe an early model. Just got new glass windows for it and need to chase down a parasitic drain. I think mine got overloaded a few times in weight so the leaf springs are seem off but the steering seems okay for now. 👍 I'm definitely going to check both sides when I get to it though because I have seen a couple videos where people say the same thing.
