yes, but lighting and color grading just was so bad. Even playing in 4k, you clearly see all shadows and dark zones of the video footage fall apart. horrible to see.
I liked Nate's cinematography and lighting, it had the more traditional style of fight scene editing and cinematograph, and also the sound design (the grunts were dope) I also liked how he got through the gimbal, because its not easy to shoot fights on an gimbal. Landon's had better music, and also a better story line, but the fact that it was so dark kinda made it feal a little bit too moody, I also enjoyed Landon's different shots. Props to you both! Overall I would say that nate won because of the fact that he got around the big barrier of having a gimbal, and also his insane sound design
Nate's One was like a "Soap opera"look and Landon's was cimematic style but it's too dark over all. It would be better make more contrast between dark and bright area.
landons one was too dark, but he did mention that they lost battery power for thee lights and that he himself thinks it was too dark. so I imagine he would brighten it up if he did it again
Nate's video was solid, and he had a really hard disadvantage, but Landon absolutely killed it. Loved the gritty lighting - I think it's better with only kisses of light here and there. It looks awesome but also sells the fight more because you can't see everything super clearly. Looking forward to more Pro vs Pro vids!
I love this series! I kinda wish you guys would have brought them to a third party person and asked like “which would you buy?” Or “what do you think the handicap was?” Can’t wait to see more of this!
I love all the healthy competition coming from this channel! Not only does it help the competitors learn and grow, but sharing it with us is extremely valuable as well. Thank you!!
Awesome work fellas! My take: the gimbal shots are great for pick up and catching great choreography of the fight. All too often things are too tight and you can’t tel what’s going on. On the flip side, it’s tough to get those close up impacts and reactions from afar. Essentially, you need to have both at your disposal. Fun video!!!!
I was here before the first video was taken down and i bacame mad when it said "the user deleted the video" I am glad it came back Lemmi grab some popcorn
I loved Landon's video! It gave me all the feels. I do wish that it was a bit lighter but I understand how lights love to die at the worst times LOL. Both videos were amazing.
london's video its was great and amazing but I dont like background music without music I thing was will be better but the shot and transition 👌👌 , and for Nate's video I think the sound effect was to much and hight sound, but the idea 💡 of the watch and senario its was great and zoom its great job,
I'm going to give the point to Landon, principally for the storytelling. I loved the references to John Wick and Equalizer in Nates video, and the way he took advantage of the limitations of the gimbal and was able to show off the stunt choreography, but if someone wasn't familiar with those movies there wouldn't be much of a story. With Landon's video I felt much more connected to the protagonist, and the fear of being caught and beat up before the moment of "screw it, I'm done running and hiding!" and the score amplified that moment perfectly. Great job to both of you for creating good fight scenes in just an hour!
I was thinking that the shakiness on my videos were bad until now (after watching this video) thanks for doing this amazing job! Just make me realize that I need more experience (passed along with your teaching) than gears…! Thanks again!!
Both videos are great! I liked Nate’s lighting and sound effects and thought he did a good job with the gimbal. I liked Landon’s story better. I know this was mentioned in the video, but my biggest issue with Landon’s is it’s too dark, hard to see what is going on.
I prefer nates handheld film because the contexte of the story start with a run, he try to play with dark scene maybe a little bit noisy but it's more immersive and the song are very nice. Great job to you 2 and thanks for this new concept ! ^^
I really enjoyed the hand held, not just because it was handheld but all the elements really made it come together. Moody lighting, shaky, fast fight scene, music was on point! that video was great! An idea I have would be a beginner with all the gear vs pro with budget to low quality gear, but a corporate / talking head / informative style theme like real estate (uber boring) The is my meat and potatoes and i have the hardest time figuring out how to make it worth watching for the audience. Id like to think i have a grasp on how to work my gear and I don't think i have terrible gear but i would say the keeping engagement is really difficult for me.
Great video,Orbit shots with the gimbal would be more dramatic if shot from a lower angle.and A few speed ramps would have been great with the hand held
I loved the London video - it feels like I'm in the movie. Precisely because of the vibrations it makes the video better. I would love for you to produce more videos of this style. Thank you
I definitely think Landon's video was the better of the two. I noticed multiple people have made comments criticizing how dark Landon's video was and not liking all of the shadows, but personally I found that appealing. Maybe a little more light would have improved it, but I liked the feel of Landon's video more and definitely thought the camerawork complimented the action better, but that of course could be due to handheld vs gimbal.
I loved the Handheld Video, also the music added to the whole composition, was really nice touch and feel, and like a scene from a High Budget Film. The Gimbal had some nice shots, but it didnt add the kick and attitude that the handheld did . Good Job to Both! I love the handheld. Maybe handheld vs Gimbal on a wedding video next? :)
For the blackmagic, the best results in low light are eighter 100 ISO or 1250. Becuse of the dual native ISO, you have more dinamic range in the shadows if you keep it low. Problem is, you get blown out practical lights.
It's a really close battle between the two of you. I prefer the handheld over the gimbal, as far as the shooting style goes, and you're right, that beginning shot where the dude is running, couldn't even tell. It was a pretty good disguise, kept steady enough, but I felt I was there, like a breathing pattern. Lighting wise, though, I think the scene was slightly too dark to really see some of the action. The gimbal shoot definitely had better lighting, and he really did an amazing job keeping it in the action, but I was missing that "being a witness in the moment" movement the handheld creates. I think the fight scenes should have an unsteady sort of movements to kind of represent the adrenaline, moving out of the way, dodging punches kind of moves. Either way, amazing work by both of you, considering the time-line you had to work with. There is people who definitely couldn't pull this off.
Landon just has a great way of storytelling. Loved the sequence.
But without backround music its better
I know
Nate's video was alright, but Landon's was, dare I say on a whole another level.
exactly
The background music and the sound effects were so well added
yes, but lighting and color grading just was so bad. Even playing in 4k, you clearly see all shadows and dark zones of the video footage fall apart. horrible to see.
The opening yes, but I find the action in Landon's video crap though...
Nap
Thanks for the love on our DREAM FX Filter. Appreciate y'all! Collab soon??

I love video but Landon's video was too dark
Landon’s video was dark because the batteries on the lights were running out
Am I the only one who wants to see Parker go against Peter McKinnon? 😂😂
@PeterMcKinnon
This is a must!!!
no u r not
Feel like Parker would beat him. Not destroy him but beat him out in the end.
Now that'd be good content
Perfect song chosen by Landon btw '' run for your life '' by the siege. Loved it a lot.
Nate's One was like a "Soap opera"look and Landon's was cimematic style but it's too dark over all. It would be better make more contrast between dark and bright area.
landons one was too dark, but he did mention that they lost battery power for thee lights and that he himself thinks it was too dark. so I imagine he would brighten it up if he did it again
cinematic is suppose ti be natural / dark . This is not iPhone videos . It was quality work
This was so sick. You guys have stepped up your videos more than I thought was possible! Love the chemistry between the guys too
Nate's video was solid, and he had a really hard disadvantage, but Landon absolutely killed it. Loved the gritty lighting - I think it's better with only kisses of light here and there. London's feel like the avengers intro in the battle or something
Your name officially went from Landon BTW to Landon FTW 🏆
LMFAO
I love this series! I kinda wish you guys would have brought them to a third party person and asked like “which would you buy?” Or “what do you think the handicap was?” Can’t wait to see more of this!
These man's are on another level, they pay for ads and their ads are shown on their video.
I love all the healthy competition coming from this channel! Not only does it help the competitors learn and grow, but sharing it with us is extremely valuable as well. Thank you!!
Thank you for your generosity in putting this together. And yes, the handheld worked best in this situation!
No way! I’ve been waiting for this 🤘🏼

I am glad it came back
Lemmi grab some popcorn
Same situation 😂
@BestRolf copyright issues may be
Same. I waited on the channel for like an hour after that.
Hand Held for sure. Loved the lighting that same video as well.
Love this channel
Guys you reaaly rock! I'm just amazed on the work you do here.
these guys are on another level!!!! I just love this channel's content
I loved Landon's video! It gave me all the feels. I do wish that it was a bit lighter but I understand how lights love to die at the worst times LOL. Both videos were amazing.
Landon is the clear winner
Big fan of his video-making style
Love him ❤
I was actually wondering why I hadn't seen this video idea in your channel the other day and you made it at last.
I just love how Landon is giving other cameras a shot and just using other camera systems in general
london's video its was great and amazing but I dont like background music without music I thing was will be better but the shot and transition 👌👌 , and for Nate's video I think the sound effect was to much and hight sound, but the idea 💡 of the watch and senario its was great and zoom its great job,
I so much agree with you.
Agreed. The bad sound design and mixing in Nate's was laid bare, while the music in Landon's hid it, haha.
@@AlexNiedt exactly 👌👌
Landon's video was WAY too dark. Had my brightness turned to max and could barely follow the action.
These guys are going to be making a big splash in the future. cherish this moment, once they are there, you'll never see their tutorial so easily.
Landon's video is crazy, very very very much engaging ufff, what a work👍🔥🔥🔥

Landon's story was really good like it was taken out of the movie! Impressive 💪✨
I was thinking that the shakiness on my videos were bad until now (after watching this video) thanks for doing this amazing job! Just make me realize that I need more experience (passed along with your teaching) than gears…! Thanks again!!
These challenges are super helpful and educational! Keep it up 👍😊
That handheld video music wow fits the vibe of the video so well....well done guys #truePROs
Landon nailed it...music choice got me amped from the jump ...💪🏽
Landon’s video felt like the character introduction/establishment in a super hero movie! 👌 Nate’s was great too tho(loved the lighting)
Handheld because of story, sequences, and audio. Enjoyed both.
Both videos are great! I liked Nate’s lighting and sound effects and thought he did a good job with the gimbal. I liked Landon’s story better. I know this was mentioned in the video, but my biggest issue with Landon’s is it’s too dark, hard to see what is going on.
Knocked it out of the park fellas!
Big fan of this series. I like the explanations behind the cinematography.
This youtube video has a better quality then most commercials :D
This wasn’t even fair, Landon’s story telling is amazing!
I see you 😎
@@Igotchyou777 haha always learning!
I like the story in the hand held video but differently loved the colors and lighting in the gimbal video, loved your work
Every video that landon makes in these competition, he's miles in front of his competiton. He just got it. 👌
has he made more like these i can't find any playlist
Definitely Nate - following the action, entertaining, able to see the movements
I prefer nates handheld film because the contexte of the story start with a run, he try to play with dark scene maybe a little bit noisy but it's more immersive and the song are very nice. Great job to you 2 and thanks for this new concept ! ^^
Love this new series!
Love the handheld👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Appreciate your's effort masters 🎞♥️
Wonderful work continued 🎥🎥🎥👌👌👌👌👌🥇🥇🥇
You guys are really good and you made this work look easier than it
That second video was fire 🔥
Great video i loved the discussion on the process
Nates lightning is better and overall fight scene a like better, Landons story is better on the beginning.
Agree to all, L story better, but ending was so-so. And N fight is way better even on gimbal.
I like these videos. Keep em up! Many thanks.
Such a cool and in depth series love it!👍
Landon's video is better to me, it has a clear story, it makes me feel inside the action, very dynamic and the soundtrack choice was great!
I loved Nate's video❤️
You guys are so creative, and willing to be like u.
You guys rock with your new series!! Love it.
I really enjoy this kind of content. 👍🏻
Landon by a large margin, holy crap that was amazing!
I a big fan of Lodon since day 1. this competion was really dope, you made lodon
i prefer the handhed
This was a lot of fun!!!!
Liked Before Watching !!!!
Both of you did a great job
Great video,Orbit shots with the gimbal would be more dramatic if shot from a lower angle.and
A few speed ramps would have been great with the hand held
Both videos were awesome.
If we are judging solely the fight scene I thought Nate won it. Landon did a better job with the intro and story telling aspect and won that part.
I loved the London video - it feels like I'm in the movie. Precisely because of the vibrations it makes the video better. I would love for you to produce more videos of this style. Thank you
I envy how you live doing what you enjoy the most!!!
I like Nate's vid but the first 3 seconds of Landon's were just wow - the music, the story before the actual fight - amazing, I watched it twice!
Love this style of video.
Very nice video. Thank you guys. I would prefer the handheld
Yo, how about next time Parker Walbeck vs. Peter McKinnon
They were both unique.. Each had their vibe andbit just cool for me.
liked landon's video, storywise and cinematography. and the other video is the Lighting
Great content 🎥 as always ❤️
The second one really caught me by surprise! - impressive work folks (and I'm a new viewer of this channel :) ).
Superb Tutorial💥
Really nice vid. I really liked that one.
glad to see you guys are getting along after that big fight ;)
Great job right there guys...
Wow Landon has demolished that challenge, great video man! LOVE that song! Love that you spent like £300 on the song just for this video hahaha :D
Nate's video : staright forward
Landon's video : the cinamatic light and the darnesss... awesome
I definitely think Landon's video was the better of the two. I liked the handheld one better, it really puts you inside the scene. Thank you so much for the video and useful tips!
They are both great filmmakers in their own rights but Landon's skill is lowkey just on another level.
Great video guys 👌
amazing work done you guyz....
I preferred the handheld just because I love that first person feel it gave.
Love the channel man 👍🏻
I loved the Handheld Video, also the music added to the whole composition, was really nice touch and feel, and like a scene from a High Budget Film. The Gimbal had some nice shots, but it didnt add the kick and attitude that the handheld did . Good Job to Both! I love the handheld. Maybe handheld vs Gimbal on a wedding video next? :)
Awesome new series!
That's nice. Handheld is more natural and easier to carry your hand thanba gimbal 😁
For the blackmagic, the best results in low light are eighter 100 ISO or 1250. Becuse of the dual native ISO, you have more dinamic range in the shadows if you keep it low. Problem is, you get blown out practical lights.

I respect both the creator videos and they both are awesome. But handheld gear wins 👍
