Just started, I mean starting by bought a Canon M50 and looking to shoot videos 4 free 😂, tomorrow I'll do a b roll for a friend, and I got no idea what I'm I gonna do...
I would love to see you fix the colors, white balance, and saturation on these videos! The glimpse at a couple fixed frames on Parker's 2nd video was awesome! If you guys have some time to have a friendly competition of selecting a old first video, and remake it, and judge the winner (Parker's the winner, according to Parker haha) I would LOVE to see that!
dude i love watching my old videos, for learning what mistake i made. . thats how i learn till now. thanks man for every video u make i can understand little bit more about filming and video making.
"It just takes time to get good" love it, sometimes we get suck when we don't get the resut I was expecting, simply because I needed to spend more time learning and practicing
Hey Guys, i really appreciate that you share your beginnings with us. When looking on RUclips or Instagram i always think that everyone is very good at the whole film-making and picture stuff and i become like kinda scared to start shooting because i often think i will never get that good like they are (or like you are) and as u mentioned in your Video its the same for me: I expect my first Video to have a quality close to yours even though i know that this is nearly impossible. So i didnt even try. I have a GH5 like 2 years now and didnt even shoot and edited a single video. I took just a few pictures with it. Such a shame. Your Video helped me to realize that u have to start somewhere and get your ass up even the end product isnt looking that great as u expected it to be. Skills develope over time and need a lot of practice and failing is part of the process. That is what i take from your Video. Really thank you guys for everything your teach here for free. I will learn to use it and finally get started doing Videos. Keep going!
*I would just like to congratulate you on hitting 1 million subscribers* , I have been a subscriber since 80,000 subscribers. All of you have helped me build my wedding videography career. I am now *14 yrs old* and have my own camera (Canon 200d) * It took me 2 years to save up* and purchase but I don't regret it. One day I dream to be like you guys! _That's my story, excited to see what happens in the future with Full-Time Filmmaker. Best of Luck Parker, Landon etc._
I joined your course recently, and I think the most valuable part is a community. I took many courses in the past, but the community here is the best. So active, so responsive, very helpful. And the course about filming weddings from Jake is just amazing.
I can't stop singing "I want it. I need it " and now people are looking at me in a weird way.😂😂😂🤣 Seriously you are the man for sharing these. The whole team.
This reminds me of shooting my first video and my second. The stark difference was astounding and your channel and Sean Kitching helped me tremendously! Thank you!
This brought a lot of joy to me! Being able to laugh at past mistakes due to the fact it was part of learning! Cheers for the motivation. Parker, you should be a comedian too.
I agree it takes a lot of practice to be an expert. However, it doesn’t have to take 4-5 years to get there. The more you practice within a short amount of time, the better and faster results you get.
Okay guys, ... I don't know how I ended up here however,... I did, and watched the three of you "REFLECTING" on where you were,.... so, I asked my self where are you now?... and clicked the Parker Walbeck channel,... and as you could imagine, I was floored! Very impressed! Great composition, cuts, seamless transitions and a nice touch of storytelling. You've gained a subscriber.
I love showing the beginnings. I really appreciate it and as someone like me that is just getting started, it helped tremendously to see how you guys got started. Huge thanks! I’ll be uploading my first videos soon! The name gives my entire channel away.
Guys, tell me that this video has won the contest! Even today 2020 I am freakin like it! The story, the idea, and even the singing is fresh as a orange juice! Parker, nobody cares about overexposure.People dont have time to see it. The most important is that the video is stunning!!!!!!! Regards from Bulgaria bros!
Thanks guys, you inspired me to do first video of my own too, looking forward to do more. Thanks for encouragement to start and not be perfect, to start and make mistakes... To finally start :)
Wow, what a great difference between the video you shoot as the beginner and right now. It definitely motivates to put more time and effort into what you're doing to be good at it. Awesome video!
Great advice as always guys - love Parker's comment that there's no shame in doing your first gig for free. Also the 10K hour thing - really motivational and makes me want to keep pushing ahead!
This was fun & very inspiring. It took me far to long to start working in my passion. but niw that i hv done ✅ i give my 100 percent effort and time. 24/7 i think of filmmaking. i am shooting-editing, when i am not i am watching & learning from RUclips. Things r really tough fr me now, no money, no support frm family, i am am not stopping ✊ .. Lets see where i will lead myself. Success or Faliure? i will not regret that i hv not tried and gave my 100 percent. looking forward to the day i join the “ Fulltime Filmmaker Course” 🤘
It's good to see the professionals first videos as I feel self conscious on trying to do my first videos with a camera, as they'd turn out probably worse than yours. Definitely understanding color balance and such is a key thing I'll be considering!
I've realized my skills are lacking and today I have decided to get the full time filmmaker course. I'm pretty excited to get started. I'm petty nervous about the price but I think the Investment in myself is worth the price of admission. It has great reviews and I'm so happy to have the money to spend in a time like this. thanks for all the free content Parker, you Rock Dude.
Hey! This was a great video to showcase that practice is key when developing a skill. I'm just starting out and already am noticing week to week changes in how I shoot, edit, and produce content. I have so much more to learn and I'm glad to receive some encouragement. Keep up the good work!
Do they do the Utah Valley competition anymore? I live here and want in. Also loved the BYU art museum and the Y. Something so monumental happened so close...
I feel like having money for gear and knowing what you want to shoot will help cut the learning curve a lot, like if you mainly just want to shoot cars, do a lot of research on car photography/ videography and find out what the best settings are etc and then just go out and do a bunch of free shoots for people so you can practice until you feel like you can charge people for your services.
Nice... You should do the part 2 of this where you use the same shots, corrected in edit... To demonstrate how you can correct bad footage or bad arrangement, etc.. That would be cool... Thanks for the great content...
I'm learning so much from this channel! Thank you so much, guys! This is basically all I watch on RUclips now. Extremely useful info. Through your reviews, I got my first beginner camera (m50ii) and I'm learning about videography. On another note.... 10:43 Isn't he your fake bonsai psycho friend? Lol
Love the content you guys put out and super excited to grow as I go through the FTF course. It’s been amazing so far. This video definitely gives hope haha. Consist creating is key and it obviously shows when you look at where you all started!
*question* what and how do u learn all this. I would love to have some1 just teach me. I've been making videos a year and just now learning pase but I have no idea how to use 4k or color
hey Parker you started quite well back in 2012....you guys have the dream job,and the dream team...i guess you work relationship is everybody's goal…:)
Wow looking at all these in terms of gears, you guys had all the privileges like those were my dream gears. Back in those days i started only with a Rebel T2i, Kit lens 18-55mm and a 50mm 1.8, couldn't even afford a glidecam but used a 17$ tripod instead. And yes, 6000K were our favourite wb lol. Everything in filmmaking is changing, nobody's waiting for you in the past
Wow its really amazing and a good motivation for us beginners who really wanted to learn and become best filmmaker like you and your team. God Bless you and thanks for sharing it 😊.
I learn fast and I don't need too study to waste time on something I could already possibly know if I try it first and see if it becomes second nature to me already but not everyone is like that. Point is if you can do it with out taking to much time learning to really be a professional in short time to/or/ no time then yeah but do know what you need if you think you need it. Life is short.
How do you maintain the correct exposure when walking through a situation where the light is constantly changing, like when he walks into the hallway onto the lift?
How many likes for you to recreate that first music video? The world needs it.
@@fulltimefilmmaker DO IT!!!! And don't forget this time punch the camera goodbye lol
@@fulltimefilmmaker You must have a good voice by now! :P

Hi Parker I have been a member of ftf for 3 months now and I have landed lots of big jobs thanks to you and the team. Thanks so much
I would love to see you fix the colors, white balance, and saturation on these videos! The glimpse at a couple fixed frames on Parker's 2nd video was awesome! Please do a new Version of the UV Song !
Same Song, todays skills but same camera as the original (you can use NDs and a better micro)
This would be awesome!!!
Now I understand why Parker always says "Fake it till you make it".😀
I feel absolutely motivated to go out there and make as much mistakes as I can make.
Now I feel good after watching this
Wow, thank you Mr. Walbeck for sharing your personal side. I noticed some off the b-roll of you singing in your past videos, but now this is better!
dude i love watching my old videos, for learning what mistake i made. . thats how i learn till now. thanks man for every video u make i can understand little bit more about filming and video making.
Jake: Before I even knew-
Parker: “People got married”
😂 😂 😂
"It just takes time to get good" love it, sometimes we get suck when we don't get the resut I was expecting, simply because I needed to spend more time learning and practicing
Definitely showing my class this. Love showing them that every professional started out with these kinds of videos.

Wow I actually love it. Besides it being a little cheesy it's clear young Parker has mucho natural talent! Thanks for sharing this!
This brought a lot of joy to me! Being able to laugh at past mistakes due to the fact it was part of learning! Cheers for the motivation. Parker, you should be a comedian too.
Remember new filmmakers: it takes 10000 hours to become an expert. That's around 4-5 years. Don't give up!
But its not true. Thats just a myth and an aproximation. Work smart.
I agree it takes a lot of practice to be an expert. However, it doesn’t have to take 4-5 years to get there. The more you practice within a short amount of time, the better and faster results you get.
That rule was made pretech age.
People really don't wanna work hard but need results. Really guys gear doesn't matter. Just work hard
The beautiful thing about success is. We all began somewhere. Thank you for sharing
9:45. Best filmmaking advice I've ever heard.

Their reaction when Parker said "That's when I knew I had a gift" 😂
Really enjoyed the video. Very inspiring to see how far everyone came👏🏾💯. I just started my journey. Can’t wait to see my growth. Thank you
Thank you !
Best lesson yet : "You have to suck at it before coming good at it !"
Of all the videos I’ve watched, this inspired me the most 🥺
"You shouldn't shoot a wedding unless uve shot a bunch"...lol
🤣
Parker welbeck you should remake the music-video but with a Red and your experience today. Like if think the same 👍👍
This actually really motivates me topush myself more into the filmmaking world
So right it takes time and every video is an important lesson
Its great journey... good luck...

Because you all start in some way, now you are in another level.
Thanks for your videos!
Still better than some of the other stuff I see on RUclips
Bahahaha your singing energy and how you’re singing style are so different 🤣🤣🤣👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 jamming this
The reason Parker wins has zero to do with technical stuff. The story always wins.
