  • 2016 Ford Explorer 3.5 136,000 miles. I remove the fuse panel with 10 mm socket and the four tabs around the sides and covered bare wires with electrical tape. Hope if you have a similar issue this fixes yours as well.

Thank you so much for showing me how to get the fuse box out so that I can put in my own fuses for mods and relays.
    I really appreciate this.

@@masterofnone729 How does the fuse box get removed from under the steering wheel on the left wall?

How do you replace a section of fuse cartridge?

Did this fix the issue? I've had the same issue with mine for 2 years. Multiple batteries and alternators installed and still having the issue. Nobody seems to be able to figure it out. No mechanic, not even Ford dealerships. Both battery and alternator are working as should and still randomly getting the dash alert. Literally left the mechanic shop after replacing alternator, battery, belts and on the way home the check charging system light is dinging. Crazy!

Yes I did fix the issue however it ended up being the voltage regulator that is on the alternator so had to replace alternator and it solved the problem. That is strange that you had that happen over and over. Sorry for delay I didn’t get a notification for the comment!

Napa alternators are the way to go. Not no motorcraft or autozone NAPA
