I have been journaling every day since 1978. Yesterday I started my 87:th journal. I wonder who is supposed to read them when I am gone... I have been writing about every day but I sometimes write two or three days at a time depending on what happens. I have learned different techniques to remember the important details about each day. I normally write 2-3 full pages in my A5-sized journal. Well, keep it up.
That is amazing! I hope that I can get to your level or writing some day. I've been trying to write more in the morning. Sometimes to create scripts for future videos, but often merely unloading my thoughts. It has been a good practice, but i've been doing it on my computer and I'm thinking I'll switch to pen and paper.
Wow Thomas this is amazing. Do you have a video explaining this so I can see it? What journal do you use? What are your different techniques to remember the important details? I’d love to hear more from you ..please
@@lindyredmond9838 No, no video. I often only need to remember one thing about each day to remember it all. Well, often it is like that. I save receipts or tickets, take photos with my phone, take notes. It all depends on the day. Sometimes I really have to think hard but if I have one key memory I often remember the whole day. Sorry that I could not be more helpful.
I wrote in diaries growing up... don’t know where they are now🤷♂️ more recently i picked it up again when my first child was born 16.5 years ago.... sporadically tho.... to document things the kids were doing and how life was... I’ve realised that it’s grounding for me... when life gets overwhelming it helps to do something concrete and simple, and when life is more calm and predictable, journaling has helps me to differentiate the days, to catch myself...I’m going to try and be more consistent because I look back at the bits I’ve missed and wonder what was so good/bad at the time that I couldn’t spare 5 mins to scribble anything at all 😉
Wishing you the best as you try develop your daily journaling habit. I value the stories and thoughts that I've captured over the years, but there was so much more that went unwritten. Hopefully your children can read your journals one day, maybe when they have kids themselves, and gain a previously unknown insight into their parent's life.
I started a collaborative journal with a friend and we switch off every week or whenever we can. We struggled a lot with the whole wanting to write about something exciting every single day so I’ll share this video so we can hopefully write more together :)
That is an awesome idea and a new one to me! I might try that with my wife. Could be a fun way to get different perspectives on our life together. Thanks for the idea!
Journaling is great I have journaled for only 2 months so far but I will make it through 2021 with more tips for journaling( sorry it’s long writing long got to my head while journaling😂😂)
I started last year and continued this year. Last year I had to write into notebooks, and this year I have a notebook for the whole year a 8.5 x 11 with 196 lined pages or a total of 392 pages to write on, so I write a page a day, Barnes and nobles have them and I plan to buy a few notebooks soon for the next few years.
Very nice! I like the few lines a day because it is easy to write done a few lines rather than feeling like you have to feel a page. But, now that I am in the practice of writing more I may end up getting a second journal for longer-form entries. Congrats on developing the practice.
@@TylerLloyd look into getting the large journals/notebook that I am using for mine. It's nice to have it all in one book vs into many books. My Journaling a page a day has also saved me in some situations when I have for got something important, my journal has it. Not only is writing a page a day important to me, but beneficial and it helps my brain stY active

great tips
thank you!
You are very welcome!
Hi! I just bought the journal :) What pen do you use to write in it?
My go to pen is a Pilot G2 .05 but I also like my Zebra F-701, which is a more sustainable option.
