I like it. I'm usually tired of neutral but this was nice somehow. Neutral without tge feeling of neutral. Can't explain exactly but it is very pleasing
Love the look. But, they appear to have lost ability to have 2 chairs in the living area and now just sofa and one chair that is not as cushy. The kitchen is lovely but appears bigger than the living area. Those sheers look great, but likely do not provide privacy at night if neighbors are behind them. The entry looks flipped vs before picture but is huge improvement. The three airy matching ceiling light fixtures leading you from entry to back of home is inspired idea.
Spectacular. I don't know how the renovation/redecoration could have been done better. It's perfect for families who respect their furnishings as all of the light colours are not suitable for everyone to maintain. I love the slim painted-out molding on the long wall. It's more effective than having considered molding at the top of the walls. The kitchen storage is realistic for today's living. I don't know how our mothers and grandmothers cooked in such limited space. But then we didn't use to cook so many diverse food or use so many small appliances.
I like how warm it feels, but my child would have the pillows on the floor because as she states “she needs to stretch out” -to many pillows, especially if multiple people need to sit. Also for me personally I’m done with open concept- having the kitchen that close to the living room with all the smells from the cooking, big no. Plus from my experience with having a light couch it get’s dirty fast!! Every few months I have to steam clean to get the dirt out - so the colours all thou pretty not practical for a family.
So very beautiful! It’s quite the transformation. I love all the details, focal interest, as well as functionality. It’s a completely different space and so bright and fresh. Well done.
Absolutely stunning! The use of texture and natural elements and neutral colours to create this once narrow and dark space is beautiful! Well done!👏👏👏❤
I notice that in a lot of commentators these days. People used to end their sentences with a lower tone, now they go up. It's like everyone now has a Valley Girl cadence =D
Love the colours and design, but would not like to be sitting on my sofa looking out onto my kitchen all the time... And sorry for ththe desk nook, that’s really small and a bit sad. Just use it to display nice things but the kids would sit elsewhere, I suppose.
Nice job in the narrow footprint...Remodeling contractor in Philly for over 3 decades; Our row homes are similar in width...About 16 feet wide 50 feet long, It's brutal but; all you can do is make it better than it was...This was well executed by the contractors...Designers are fabric pickers...I've worked with the best...They love using fixtures or materials, that are hard to get, and have long lead times...It's the contractors that should get the glory. NOT the "designer" They only make jobs more difficult, expensive and kill your time.
Its pleasing to the eyes but I wouldn't have thought this to be a kid-friendly home. More of a museum. Who realistically has aesthetically pleasing artwork books scattered throughout their house that have children? And whose going to be dusting all of those trinkets? This is what I dont like about post-modern architectural design. There's no concept of anti-dust prevention.
I love the colour palette but the design is quite stark. So sad about the old staircase, it was gorgeous, but then again modern is just not my style. Happy for the homeowners though.
@Izzy Turner-Hicks I was looking for this comment! No child doing homework is EVER going to choose to sit facing a wall, in a cupboard-sized nook, to work. Not when they can use one of the four stools on the island, the dining table, sit on the sofa or floor .... or use their bedrooms. Pointless design feature - very surprising.
For the "Frame" TV I'd love to know how designers hide the cords and box. I know the "Frame" has a single tiny cord that runs down to the box. So where is the box. Also, where are the remotes kept. These things are everyday issues that regular people deal with and all too often are overlooked in design videos.
the box is hidden in a niche behind the tv. There are several videos on youtube that show how to hide wires etc while installing a Frame TV. Remotes can be stored in a basket next to the sofa ....or left out because the ida of a remote is to keep it in reach
I think the stairs have not been moved and are in the same position. The before shot is from the kitchen towards the entry door. The after shot is from the entry way towards the kitchen and sitting area.
The change of dark flooring and cabinets to blond wood and white cabinets really makes a huge difference. The entrance is more open as well. Nicely done. The only thing that needs to change is that small sofa and chair to a sectional seating for more people if you have children.
I love it, I just think maybe that little desk space could've just been used for more cabinets/ storage, the kids will most likely end up dying their homework on the island
Nice design elements, although not to my taste. I think for the style they chose, it's overstaged for the video. So it comes across as for show, like a hotel lobby. I realize I liked the original gloom much better, but something this sleek maybe should be softened or made a little casual in the showing.
Love it! 😍 but there's one thing I don't like at all ,and is the desk by the oven ? I
I love how warm this is as opposed to just being white. Light and airy can still be done without just making everything white. Bravo!
everything is beige though
What a transformation! Just getting rid of those beams makes so much difference!
This looks really nice. In a long, narrow space the neutrals make sense, because they bring in light and open things up. Beautiful work!
What an amazing transformation! Its so chic and airy!
There isn’t one single design that I dislike. These designers are magnificent. They honestly need their own HGTV.
I like it. I'm usually tired of neutral but this was nice somehow. Neutral without tge feeling of neutral. Can't explain exactly but it is very pleasing
Lisa did a great job on changing this home. It is definitely bight, airy and beautiful.
Love the look. But, they appear to have lost ability to have 2 chairs in the living area and now just sofa and one chair that is not as cushy. looks so peaceful, feels like home. I wish they had shown the entire house
Very tasteful and logical remodel-- you guys crushed it

My home is only four years old, but I would like to renovate it, almost exactly like this project.
So fresh, contemporary, and spacious.
Young families with children and pets are incompatible with the white sofa.
I like how warm it feels, but my child would have the pillows on the floor because as she states “she needs to stretch out” -to many pillows, especially if multiple people need to sit. I agree... open concept isn’t my preference. I prefer rooms with doors that close...
I love the white faucet. Definitely the right choice
So very beautiful! It’s quite the transformation. I love all the details, focal interest, as well as functionality. It’s a completely different space and so bright and fresh. Well done.
Wow, stunning! I wish your videos included renovation budget/costs, that would be really helpful
Love this home, very much my style and color pallet. Gorgeous!
Brilliant job ! 🤩 (the pantry and deleted columns were masterstroke)
Gorgeous transformation with great vibes!
Stunning space. Love the open kitchen and the mixture of textures. Great job!
Beautiful design. Beautiful home 🏡
Looks very soothing and calming. I love it
It feels so warm and airy
Gorgeous!
Just beautiful! I'd love to see the upstairs rooms. 😉
Well done. This transformation gave the home a fresh and current presence yet not over done.
Uncluttered, clean lines, restful design- great improvement.
Smart design ideas and a really great transformation. Well done Lisa!!
Absolutely stunning! The use of texture and natural elements and neutral colours to create this once narrow and dark space is beautiful! Well done!👏👏👏❤
Great job - these townhouses are a design challenge for sure and they made it light and inviting!
You nailed it with the light and airy.beautiful.
I like the design & decor. The house is now cozy.
So pretty. What a beautiful transformation
What a fabulous transformation! You would never think it is a townhouse in Milton...looks very chic.
Outstanding redesign! Thank you. Love it.
What a beautiful transformation. Thanks for sharing! 🏘
Nice home! My only complaint is the desk by the stove and oven. I’d probably make that cabinet space instead.
Really impressed by this particular transformation
Wow. Beautiful transformation
I love seeing new designs. Thank you, House and Home!
I love the design… soothing and peaceful… love the colours. Please what paint colour are the walls ?
what an incredible transformation. It is SO beautiful!! A work of art, so inviting, calming ...very talented team for sure, ty for sharing!!
Beautiful warm minimalist design
Love what you did with this home! It’s gorgeous! Please don’t put a question mark on the end of almost every sentence. Hard to listen to. Sorry.
How are you hearing a question at the end of the sentences though? I think it’s more your hearing and interpretation.
I notice that in a lot of commentators these days. People used to end their sentences with a lower tone, now they go up. It's like everyone now has a Valley Girl cadence =D
Thank you! I’m sure she’s a nice person but her Val habit is chafing.
Love it! Def my esthetic. I would like to know where the light fixtures are from
Great transformation, cosy and classy, well done !!! 👌👍❤
This is lovely.
Very airy, love every inch...👌
Stunning !
Power of white and off white❤
beautiful!!
Lovely!
Love the colours and design, but would not like to be sitting on my sofa looking out onto my kitchen all the time... And sorry for ththe desk nook, that’s really small and a bit sad. Just use it to display nice things but the kids would sit elsewhere, I suppose.
Omg that seamless cabinet door is such a brilliant idea!
Just by looking at those transformation, I was inspired and motivated to think on how I can update my rooms too. 🤭✨
Fresh and gorgeous
Beautiful design & beautiful houses ❤❤❤
Charming! What paint color in the living room please? Warm white love it.
Absolutely gorgeous!
a great work and love it , what colour do you use for the wall and cabinet ? its so nice .
If I lived alone ... sigh ... so relaxing, almost beachy.
Love this whole look! Especially Love this dining room chairs!!! Where can I get them?
Love everything about this. I was especially impressed by the white faucet lol, never knew that existed . Looks like it cost a fortune
I love your design absolutely stunning. I need a designer just moved into a condo in Collingwood
that is so gorgeous!! I wish you were accessible where we are to help design our very challenging space!
Love under island storage and the light feel. Not a fan of the matte white pot filler though 🤔
"Very outdated and dark" is definitely a stretch.
Light and bright.
So calming! Absolutely beautiful! What is the countertop material, please?
I would love to know that too!! Backsplash also, pleaseee

Looks amazing now!
This is excellent! Well done! Talented designers :)
I love the colour palette but the design is quite stark. So sad about the old staircase, it was gorgeous, but then again modern is just not my style. Happy for the homeowners though.
I love it!
Looks lovely ❤ but cannot stand spotlights in a living room.
where did you get the counter stools? I love them!
stunning
Nice design!🎉
What kind of flooring is this
You cannot tell that kids live here at all - the desk squished up by the oven made me so sad!
And right next to a (potentially) hot oven!!
Imagine them choosing to display post-modern artwork and aesthetic over their children's 'play' desk area.
Pretty concept and decor but the desk was way too small for anyone to use for practical
Reasons . Wasted space.
For the "Frame" TV I'd love to know how designers hide the cords and box. I know the "Frame" has a single tiny cord that runs down to the box. So where is the box. Also, where are the remotes kept. I’d prefer no TV at all. Everything on TV is fake propaganda.
I like your channel❤❤❤
Very pretty space
very beautiful
House plan graphic would be great to understand more thx .
Gorgeous! Wondering how the stairs went from the right to the left side? Also wondering about the cost of this reno?
I think the stairs have not been moved and are in the same position. The before shot is from the kitchen towards the entry door. The after shot is from the entry way towards the kitchen and sitting area.
I love every single piece, every single detail, I would like to get info about where to buy and why not the total reno cost.
The change of dark flooring and cabinets to blond wood and white cabinets really makes a huge difference. The entrance is more open as well. Nicely done. The only thing that needs to change is that small sofa and chair to a sectional seating for more people if you have children.
I loved everything in this home. What is the distance between the kitchen island and the kitchen window? I would appreciate for an answer,
thank you!
Would love to know where that dining table is from!
Gorgeous… but… I liked the old couch… 😆 I wonder what the kids vote was on the couch and their desk.
I love it, I just think maybe that little desk space could've just been used for more cabinets/ storage, the kids will most likely end up dying their homework on the island
I love the system of courtains . Would you please say the link?
Ok pretty however, a family home? All lined up on the sofa with heads swivelled towards tv?
Same thing I was thinking.
I was assuming it was just a sitting room and that they had a separate space to watch tv.
@@sdaniel6027 yes maybe. Perfect viewing from dining table.
Nice design elements, although not to my taste. I think for the style they chose, it's overstaged for the video. So it comes across as for show, like a hotel lobby. I realize I liked the original gloom much better, but something this sleek maybe should be softened or made a little casual in the showing.
100%
Would love to know where to find a coffee table like this!
Nice job
Pretty..❤
How did they get rid of the structural supportive beams to open the space? I do not see any additional reinforcement?
To be sure, there's a stunning entry but not a "front room"; correct? it would be great to see what's upstairs when you do it.
