I love your videos mate. Can you test the kenwood 6x9 5 way speakers? They're a really cheap speaker for what they advertise and want to see if they're worth it or just gimmicky
So what do you think abou them ? Which 6x9 do you advice me for my car ? Any reference please ?

4 years ago and im just now watching this at 2:26am half way through my jay. i forgot where i was going with this. iv only made it this far in the series so far, if any of them remain work or not let me know lol, i want a pair and if they still working ill keep them forever right here beside my kickers. good show, ima finish smoking and watching now.

What about cable size diameter? How does that affect the sound?

I would recommend you upgrade to (Rockford Fosgate) car speakers, test the (T-1693-3 way 6X9's) and add a little polyfill in the cabinets to absorb the heavy bass response these speakers produce, and give us your honest opinion of their sound quality!!

nope. disappointed in how they sound. the mids are overwhelming, they lack in higher tones, and i expected more bass. (in comparison to the other speakers)
I guess the sony days are over.
Thanks for this comment, those are exactly the features I am looking for... After a month researching Hertz, Infinity, JBL, Alpine, Rockford Fosgate, Pioneer, Kenwood, and many othera, okay I found it in these speakers...
@@beng4818 Yes most newer speakers that have decent bass also lack the mids but have good quality tweeters, thats why i choose these sonys the mids are good, might need a subwoofer to cover the low

Yes, it has more numbers so it's probably good.
I have more bass in my 6 inch subs than these do but they sound really decent for surround sound in home theater

You should use larger box.
I have the 100w rms version of these oval sony speakers in a box with twice the depth of your's. And 4 of them with 100w rms amp makes just enough bass to shake the windows and i don't even need a sub.
these speakers should not be in a box at all, they should be fitted to the parcel shelf of a vehicle as they're typically an IB speaker. Subs are designed to play bass, bass with low enough to shake anything with ease. The bass from speakers like these typically doesn't get low enough to satisfy a true bass head.
I just bought the 6.5 ones I plan on putting them in my 2001 Honda Accord. Will they work ok. My left speaker is blown in the front

@@davoodgh6339 no problem. A subwoofer is for low frequencies, I would not use 6x9s for low bass.

What I was thinking that you could do with you 6x9 speakers is, you could have half of them in one box and the other half can be in the other box and maybe use them as speaker monitors.

Sony speakers aren't that good as the other speakers(speaking in general because I used to have sony speakers in my car, paired to a sony HU) and I can say that the sound isn't that good BUT they are pretty tough when it comes to destroying them.
PS: I've heard Focal RCX-690 are pretty good and also it would be awesome if you could test some Ground Zero 6x9s.
