This video guides you on the installation of SONY XS-GTF 1639 6.5" 3-WAY COAXIAL SPEAKERS on Perodua Viva. I figured that since there is no video guide on installing speakers on Perodua Viva, I might as well do one. Sorry for the bad audio due to raining. Please treat it as a soothing background music. Lol.
Before I install these speakers at the rear, there was a clear clarity difference when listening at the front row versus the rear. After fully upgrading all 4 speakers, all the sound quality is now more balanced. The difference is more noticeable when you blast music at a higher volume.

Will make them sound even better with MDF rings between speaker and door, and foam rings around the speaker. And sound deadening inside the door- well worth it..

@@PenguinTech521 you should have shown as some might do without insulation watching your video as a reference. Funny enough I got a new radio in and realised previous owner changed the radio without any insulation 😂

With 1639 and 1339 as a set do I have enough density of sound? Can I add jbl box with this set?
What are the differences with sony fb1630?
Did you set custom eq in this video and the what is the level of the extra bass button you set to ?
Bass level 0 and no eq
@@PenguinTech521 then why you are telling that you don't like its bass brother ? I have the same radio and recommend you to put the eq to ( rock) and extra bass level 2 , and can you please make a small video with these settings ? Thanks ❤

@@amgil475 bass boost is a big no no.. all it does it jack up the upper bass and add distortion from little janky 6.5" speakers. Set your EQ flat and get a decent sub(s) with a quality amplifier. And for Pete's sake don't max out the gain (volume) and bass boost on that either! It's supposed to be music so enjoy it. Yeah I get it, it's fun to crank it up but unless you experience truly stunning high quality audio, your better off with a decent set of headphones or buds.
Either way, it's up to you however you want to enjoy your music, but suggesting to another person to change settings that will actually worsen the quality is a big fat no no IMO and of many many other professionals and hobbiests alike.
Hi, just want to ask if we need to remove the car battery while doing all of this. Or isit ok to just leave the battery inside the car ?
I left the battery inside when I'm doing this.

Upgrade your aux cable for better audio
Yeah, I actually would prefer a dim with bluetooth. It's a hassle to deal with wires, even though the music quality from bluetooth is slightly lower.

Better. Can output higher volume without cracking.
@@PenguinTech521 the price is unbelievably cheap, Sony brand some more, I came here to know the results, I guess the speaker is good to buy.

@@PenguinTech521 I already checked for front speaker is 6.5 inch but I don't know for the rear speaker because its a roof mounted setup
@PenguinTech can your sony head unit handle the power required to drive all 4 sony speakers?
Yup. Up to 4x55W speakers.
@@PenguinTech521 thanks man, actually I already have the same player so was considering changing to some speakers with more bass and the 1 you fitted seems ok.
@@sramasa6 turn on the extra bass on your head unit and you'll experience heavier bass :D

As mentioned in the video, the contact points of the wires onto the speakers should always be tapped. I just did not manage to show it in the above video.
