    Where do I find all these presets?! Lol... like the lens flare?

      When you click an effect all the presets should just appear in the Presets panel. If you're not seeing them there, reinstalling the software is usually the easiest fix. If you don't see the Presets panel, just hit F2 to go into the Default workspace. Hope that helps.

      This appears to be a bug affecting certain graphics card / driver combinations. We're looking into it. In the meantime, if you go to Preferences and set GPU rendering to Disabled, you will be able to see the filter.

    How would I export the fog effect by itself so I can further tweak in other software?

    • @BorisFXco

      Set the Composite Style in the Particle Illusion controls to be Alpha+Apply Mode and then set the Apply Mode to None. That will just give you your particles with an alpha channel. Here's a quick tip for working with Alpha channels too : borisfx.com/videos/optics-and-photoshop-exchange-masks-alpha-channels/

      @@BorisFXco I have used that for some effects but I don't think effects like Double Fog and others have those options.

      You're right. Many of the effects rely on the layers beneath them to generate the final result. Unless there is a "Rays only" or similar view mode in an effect, then it's tricky to just take out something like Double Fog.
      I'll bring this up to the development team.

    how can i make rain effect with boris fx?

    • @BorisFXco
      @BorisFXco  2 года назад

      Use Particle Illusion inside of Optics. There are many different rain presets that you can use and tweak to fit your image. Particle Illusion is available as a free standalone application, part of the Continuum effects suite, and included in Optics too.
