I agree Optics is amazing due to the control you have over all the parameters of all the filters. its a no brainer if you are a creative photographer or graphic artist. Good vid by the way.
the great thing about Optix is that through presets many filters do some stuff you wouldn't expect and for reasons you wouldn't think about given what the filter is for.
@@lauriewahlig2819 well for me its just a Hobby Thing so i didnt use IT on a daily Basis but It does have some cool Features for compositing... Depends in what you wann do with it

These seem to be pretty unattractive filters. I don’t get it. Fake lightning? Who cares? Putting blobs of light in front of a model doesn’t match my esthetic, that’s for sure.

Actually this is not true at all. If you take the time to look at Optics for the breadth of parameters in every filter and quality of image processing, you will learn that the software was developed by professionals for professionals.

Destroying your pictures with ultra heavy effects/presets isn't quite "professional" IMO. Look at the best or most famous pictures and/or photographs in the world, i don't think they use a sepia filter + burnt edges + grime + flares + hard curves.

Kind of scary to think of it. With this program one does not need to take a good photo or a camera. This app does everything for you. Actually... I guess if you combine this, the sky program and photoshop you can create an awsome picture with just a white or black background..
Thats not the case. You will never be able to make a silk purse out of a sows ear. Thats not the point of Optics, and no it does not do everything for you. Give it a go and see what it does on its own.....
