Gosh, praise from an Academy Award and Emmy recipient … I don’t. mind admitting that’s a first for me, and I’ll happily take that! Thank you 🙏. So glad you enjoyed it, and looking forward to making more use of Silhouette etc to make my films more interesting.

Fabulous, thanks for sharing both. I studied photography and a lot of what you both describe here rings true! It's often misunderstood that working with images is not 'truthful' - but many hours in a darkroom was always exactly that!
I am inspired to get photographing my dahlias this summer!

Couldn't agree more with your comment about the truthfulness of working with images, although there is a distinction to be made between photography as art, and photojournalistic photography.

BorisFX was a company with the wind in its sails in the 2000s. Just like Avid, Boris is losing credibility because their outdated interface and their haughty attitude in addition to the worst technical support I have seen in my career, they are not about to have new customers unless they change their attitude!

Gosh, that’s not been my experience - I’ve always found them very helpful and supportive, and I love the software!

Unfortunately, this is absolutely true! I had to deal with support recently and not only did they not help me but they told me to look up the information on their website. Rude!!!

Um, but they have published a huge repository of 'how to' films precisely for that purpose, and when they have obviously put that much work and effort into those films, it doesn't seem entirely unreasonable, or indeed rude, to direct you there!
