    These are on my hit list when I need to replace my current Panda (not yet though) because they're basic, well tried engineering, not much to go wrong and decent little cars with the 1.2 or 1.5 Diesel, not a fan of 0.9TCE. James May was right about these and this looks a good one for the money.

    • @Geshmaal
      @Geshmaal 4 месяца назад

      My Cat N Sandero is still going strong on the 0.9 TCE at 110k miles! Great engine IMO, don't knock it til you've tried it.

    Still my 13 plate diesel Duster - did nearly 400 miles today going on holiday and still have 206 miles of range left - went over 84k today - its a Laureate so it was chilled in that still functioning aircon. Loving it.

    i had a Sandero 1.2 for 6 years, it was an excellent workhorse, but always check the scuttle drains under the bonnet, they get bunged up with dirt, leaves etc. If they clog up, then water stays in the scuttle and will eventually leak into the passenger side footwell and soak the carpets. Just poke yout finger through the rubber drain valve on the right hand of the scuttle every couple of months and allow any water to drain out.

    • @carukchannel
      @carukchannel  4 месяца назад +2

      Will do, always great to hear experience from owners who have had cars for a number of years. I remember the clios suffered with the same issue in the scuttle and needed draining. thanks for watching robert

    • @roberthilton2824
      @roberthilton2824 4 месяца назад +2

      @@carukchannel The scuttle has 2 valve drain holes, with the bonnet up and facing the engine / scuttle , the right hand valve is easy to reach and is below the scuttle, the left hand drain is obscured by the battery and requires removal of the battery to access it. But keeping the right hand drain clear and empty of water should prevent any issues. This is a very common issue with the Sandero. If you have a wet carpet then this will be the cause.

    I live in Spain for quite a few years. Originally the working class Spanish were running round in seat and fiat bangers. Over the years they started getting Audis and BMWs, then seemed to defect to hyundai / kia but very common now and dealerships alongside renault🤷🏻‍♂️. There are many many of these. They are to me the new berlingo/2cv/ fiat panda. It’s what people like me want utalitarian cheap workhorses.i have a 17 yr old mk1 berlingo 17 yrs old 1.6 petrol no rust top or bottom, runs like a top. Great cars. Indicator stalk switch failure common headlights horn don’t behave- quick and cheap fix. Yep wiper seizure- one of spindles passes through alloy housing catch it to free off and lube Had 62 plate laure b ate Tce 90 from ex demo, no real issues, occasional judder when pulling away from cold- 3cylinder balance just off stall? Don’t try to be smooth more gas and dump it helps. Seems overgeared for round town likes to be reved. Acquired 63 plate base access model 5 years ago for £2k. Again no issues apart from indicator stalk great for trundling round town in high gear great adequate transport serving as mobile shed for work
