Therefore I am proud to be romanian! Thank you James May!
Love my Duster and this is great too . Great value ,an example to everybody else Offering value instead of rip off prices. Congratulations Dacia. You do the maths!
Lovely part of the world. I lived there until my late teens and used to cycle past the pub to go fishing in the river at Chicksgrove. PS, the roads are poor, May might need to change the deep V bike wheels for 24mm alu rims. Less harsh on the pineal gland.
I own the previous model Sandero (The one reviewed by him in the Grand Tour or was it still Top Gear?) and it is a fantastic little car for that price and I am still very happy with it after 8 years. I would buy the new model without doubt.
James, as a Romanian, I must say I've stopped to talk to anyone I've seen in the new Sandero. They were kinds baffled but I guess they didn't expect to be approached by anyone.

"its got air conditioning which does work" is that a throwback to when TG special cars never had working AC's?
Maybe. Also unrelated in the Romania special they got a Sandeep for James which got crushed by a truck.
Reminds me of the budget supercar special, and James listing off all the things that don't work. He then ends it with "...but the clock is correct!"
Old Topgear vibes. Loving it. The nostalgia is killing me.
We have been waiting for this review for 15+ years.
I like how James did the entire car review while wearing his bike gear, helmet included.
Can we appreciate how James, Richard and Jeremy gave us so much memories through life. Just thank you all❤️
Note to self: you can wear a helmet while driving a Sandero.
and James May is 6ft/1.83m, that's a lot of headroom
"A seat like a Colonoscopy." Best line of the week.
I'm convinced James May has always been an undercover Dacia Sandero salesman
Get James into a Dacia Spring Electric and let him review it. That's gonna be fun and awesome.
“It’s like a car, but cheaper.” Would genuinely make a brilliant marketing slogan
James: "All that money and all you get is a job"
American Students: "Well yeah, and?"
Haha 10 grand is a bargain when you think about it like that
O dont call us out like that

"Park your orbea and you'll soon be involving other cyclics..."
That's actually a win for Dacia then
I consider cyclist free days a win.
Exactly
Nothing worse than some obnoxious bikers
Park your Sandero and you may (may most likely) involve university/polytechnic/tafe students who are on tight budget.
The best reviewer for sensible cars, in the world.
I'm actually interested in the Sandero Stepway, simple cars are nice.
Also, wonderful backdrop with peaceful fields of sheep.
James in a Sandero. Mythic Revival! Thank you Drivetribe.
Imagine seeing some old guy in a Dacia wearing a bike helmet
he wanted to after seeing how cars are with Hammond in them
More sensible than wearing it on the bicycle. (More people have head injuries inside cars than cyclists do outside)
@@FFVoyager amazing how cyclists not have more as most drivers go past within the 1.5m space they should leave
Safety always comes first
Better yet, imagine someone driving alone in a car... wearing a mask!
09:02 If you want a cheap offroader, you can get the Dacia Duster 4x4! :D Or if you are a surfer and need an estate, you can buy the Dacia Jogger (also available in 7 seats)! Huge plant pots? Dacia Dokker van! Want to save the planet? Dacia Spring full electric! Basically you don't have any excuse not to be sensible and buy a Dacia! :)
A Dacia Sandero is to James May as a cigar is to Winston Churchill.
A Dacia Sandero is to Jeremy Clarkson as a cigar is to Bill Clinton...
"But which is best?" Well, one day of torrential rain would decide that, surely?
I got the Sandero as a replacement for the company car (Fiat grande punto) I had in February. We keep a running joke that it was cheaper to give us a brand new car to drive rather than giving us a raise. It gets the job done, and it's comfortable.
"...it has a seat like a colonoscopy..." Just about spit my tea out laughing at that line. I will never be able to look at my bike the same way again! Well done, Mr. May, well done!
This was lovely! Like a classic Top Gear review. James makes this seem effortless
I appreciate James May's humour and I thanks him for the commercial. Dacia is indeed a real car, offering basic needs for a family. It is more easily to build expensive cars than cheaper cars, believe-me. On the other hand, in Romania we are also building super bikes carbon fiber frames for italian racing bikes. Therefore I am proud to be romanian! Thank you James May!
dacia cars are french though
I say this with all my heart, i’d listen to 4 uninterrupted hours of this man talking about anything, What a GENIUS
Cycling is a great thing! James is looking much fitter and healthier. Well done!
I own the previous model Sandero (The one reviewed by him in the Grand Tour or was it still Top Gear?) and it is a fantastic little car for that price and I am still very happy with it after 8 years. I would buy the new model without doubt.
What engine did you go for?
This long running joke on the show is the best free advertisement Dacia could ask for their Sandero
James, as a Romanian, I must say I've stopped to talk to anyone I've seen in the new Sandero.
They were kinds baffled but I guess they didn't expect to be approached by anyone.
This video feels so much like pre-series 7 top gear. Such a throwback!
Thoroughly enjoyable, cheers James and Drivetribe!
THE DACIA SANDERO! Ngl, Dacia needs to make a special version called the James May Edition. 😎
With brown color, brown leather and wood interior, a rev limiter at 2000rpm, and a GPS with James' voice that points you in the wrong direction.
@@Serby665as an option you can add a right door dented by a semi truck reversing into it.

Better yet: the Nurburgring edition. Imagine how betrayed James May would feel.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have to say I was rather dissapointed by the lack of the "can it be used as a Landing Vehicle by the Royal Marines"-Test
It's not a bad looking car. Nice colour too.
"A car that's built like a car!" What a Revelation!!!
We need more of this. Somewhat usable consumer advice from May.
I got a 2010 Sandero with a petrol and LPG system. Best car I’ve had so far. Very cheap on fuel, you can stuff loads of things into the boot, never breaks down. I love it.
James alone has done so much for the dacia brand its actually amazing
Just bought here in Italy. Excellent price/quality ratio, brilliant acceleration.
J'adore votre humour décalé pour comparer une voiture et un vélo. Avec détachement. Sincèrement.
Avantages et inconvénients... Votre vélo est super et la Sandero est super.
Regards from France.
James is as right about the Sandero as Jeremy was with the Honda S2000.

The world is right again. James May in a Dacia. This comparison reminded me of Jeremy reviewing and comparing the Daihatsu Materia against a sports car
The equilibrium has been restored!
Reminds me of the images I saw a few years back of a 4WD outing.
Range Rovers and Porche Cayennes 4x4 all got stuck and they had to use the Dacia Duster of the technical team to get them out 😂
The best presenter ever James May. Nice episode thanks for sharing with us all
I was just watching all the different compilations of may and sanderos this morning, and then this gets uploaded!
@@ezicarus8216 I don't think you fully understand what's going on here, this was a running joke on top gear for absolutely ages.
