I got an online buyer for our 08 Fiesta 1.4 last year. Great wee car, 1 year MOT, Ghia trim, FSH. The buyer left £100 deposit via bank transfer, and lived about 20 miles away and couldn't travel easily. No problem- gravel bike in the boot, drove to their house, did the deed, pedalled very pleasantly back home. Win/win.
Some people think it's the dealers responsibility to maintain the vehicle for 6 months even stuff like wiper blade, filters etc they are just lazy and ignorant
your bicycle comment reminds me of a farmer I knew when I was a child. He was at the agricultural show in Melbourne and decided he would by a Silver Cloud. he went in wearing his overalls and got treated like shit by the salesman. He withdrew and went to the Jaguar dealer and bought a Mark 10 which he picked up the next and drove to the Rolls dealer and offered to trade it in and then told them to get stuffed. A year later he bought a Rolls and a Bentley and he would take his prize winning ram to the local agricultural show in the Rolls (it paid for it afterall). Never judge a book by its cover.
Same thing happened to my Dad, as he’s an old dude he was seemingly dismissed by the sales guy, went across the road and bought a brand new fully tricked out 4x4 cash down from the dealership across the street and gave the otter sales guy the one finger salute driving away
The price of second hand cars has went sky high. I sold a couple of our family cars a few years ago due to getting a company vehicle and also downsizing. The same cars are selling for almost the same money now!! It's madness. Gone are the days of a decent £1000 auto trader "bargain buy" lol.
@@desdicadoric you can finance a 5k car, up to 5k is the more affordable range but bear in mind 5k is the limit, you'll see plenty below that which are decent

Hi Lee, my son & daughter in law both have a 14 and 15 Kia and Hyundai diesels neither of them have a 3rd gear. Apparently it is a very common fault that the 3rd gear baulk ring splits, I just hope they dont totally disintegrate and do damage to the actual gears.
You are quite right to stick to what you do best, I started the same way many years ago. I had aspirations to sell newer stuff only to discover youve laid out twice the money just to make the margin and still spent the same on preparation.
I remember, a long time ago, a man on a 🚲 walking around the lot at the vauxhall dealer. The other salesmen ignored him. I went out, talked to him and ended up with a cracking deal.
Great video and content. Got some decent stock on sale. I wish James would do a few more expensive cars, but he is happy with cheap ones. Have a great weekend

What's the world coming too 😢😢Scum bag's going around nicking bit's off your Car, 😢😢. As the recession progresses, I can see a market for the categorised cars, people that want cars under market value . You could even call it categorised corner for cars under market value, on your pitch and make it a selling point, just a thought. 👍
Correct about the blue Mini - the sunroof was a pretty rare option. Mileage shouldn’t be a problem as the Leeds specialist I use (for stuff I can’t fix) says they’ve seen them with 250k+ miles. I think I see more Gen1s (like yours n mine) than Gen2s tbh. Go on, you know you want to retail it!!

You're certainly successful in your current lane of sub £5k With the cost of new and 5/6 year old cars being where they are I think it's natural that people will look around the prices you offer. I used to work on the premise that you'd need to save a grand a year to replace your car with an equivalent one year younger car, it's now a lot more than that and bringing lease cars into reach. Glad the sales have picked up for you 😃
Best thing ya can do sticking to £ 5k max cars & below, especially now as things are deteriorated under this new regime, people will be holding fire spending much on things, especially cars, so you havr have got it nailled 😊🎉

Just got a fiesta with 1.25 engine for the daughter, the salesman said that this engine was bad and I should have went for the 1.0 as it was more economical and more powerful than the 1.25. Thanks to you I stayed away from that 1.0 ecoboost. Is the 1.25 generally reliable ? It has 60k and has good history.
If I didn't live over in County Durham I'd be buying my next car off you because I know I'd get a good car at a good price and be able to trust it. Something like the Dacia or i10 would suit me, I would say Panda too but I've got a good one (so long as it doesn't fail its MOT on the back axle next month!) that's white with 125k on it so be no point in in trading up lol.
Outstanding video Lee - I always love watching your update videos (all of the videos actually lol). I love the stuff you doto make sure customers are well looked after. Well Done!!
I love my older cars, had a 2015 mitsubishi outlander and due to unfortunate circumstances I had to downgrade, got myself a 2010 mk3 grand scenic with 100k miles on it (1.5 diesel). 4 years on and nearly 80k miles extra all its needed is consumables and a clutch, still going strong and never missed a beat. Doesn't owe me a penny, I paid £2k for it off a local dealer and I know now it's not worth a lot, so I'll run it to the axels. Got through MOT without a single advisory in June
Can’t believe it’s been a year already that’s bonkers! Congrats on the progress you have made. You know better than me but you’ve built up a good loyal customer base. I’m wondering if you go to a higher price point you may alienate the people you have..? I like that you offer different cars I think that was the right call it keeps things interesting. One day a load of us should turn up here on bikes and make it an Annual event..we need tea and cakes though…!
I have recently bought a Nissan Qashqai 12 plate, that happened to have the same problem with the radio, (although the radio itself worked). The problem was with the LCD display of it, you couldn't see a thing, and it turns out it's a common fault of these radios.

Nice that things are moving for you and the team. Things have changed but given the way you treat cars before you sell them is testament why people come back and recommend you. When is the video coming on your Maserati? I ask this as my wife thinks I should consider one and apart from a second cousin who had one many years ago I know little about them. You say yours is reliable but are they that expensive to look after? When are you going to get round to tidying up the paintwork in the office and the workshop. I know you are busy but you said you were going to do some work round the Pitch to improve it some while ago. Always enjoy your videos. Amazing you have been in a year now. 👍👍
Nice update Lee, not had much chance to watch lately. Some nice cars in and out, top prep as always. Sorry but the missing bumper off the Corsa made me laugh. Some horrible gits about. Can't believe it's been a year since you've been there 🎉

Great video as always. Will be interested to see the ix20 you have got coming in . Wife has one for her work as a podiatrist which it is great at . Big boot and not too large to park . Unfortunately I put her off the Kia Venga by calling it a Venga bus 😂 Don't know which is the better car ?
Looking for advice. Have had enough of adblue diesels to get euro 6 compliance I hear that there are some diesel's that comply with euro 6 without use of the adblue technology. Can you tell me what brands/models they are ???? Many thanks.... Tony
A 'guy on a bike' might genuinely be interested in your vehicles, but just not yet in the market for one. What if they tell someone they've seen something they might like the look of 🤷🏻
I noticed you never seem to have many VW Polos or Skoda Fabia's in stock do they cost more than your price range or are they hard to find at Auction. The Fabia of a certain age I always thought is a good little run around.
man on bike can be looking if the cars hve a tow hitch (he looked o at the Kia Cee'd meaby you can do a collaboration with Chops? looks like he's got cars in the same pricebracket as you have
Thinking about what you were saying about above 5k. Would it not be worth considering if you were to go to say 7k on very specific cars( - eg Aygo/c1/107/micra/500/Yaris) for example and then they will be newer and potentially attract the same base and newer trade ins and help you keep yard fuller as easier to prep and likely, better part ex?
Tell me Lee, on the subject of small cars, what is your opinion on Smart cars? We have a 2011 one (mk2 with the odd mhd electronic auto transmission) which we kept hold of as a local runabout / shopping trolley. Whilst it is great at being a local runabout, I have developed a love/hate relationship with it in some areas!
Not a fan TBH, I was borrowed one once around 10 years ago, the car was 10 months old and was riddled with faults. some people love them and that's great but there is just to many issues that come up with them for me to retail them
@@carukchannelThink I jinxed the flippin thing by even talking about it.....partner took it to go to the shops today and some dozy idiot with no lane discipline at a junction ploughed into side of the thing 😮😮
Hi, new to the channel but I like what I see (I think 5K is plenty to spend on a car). Don't know if you answer questions but I'd love to know what you think about the timing chain on 1.6 Qashqais (petrol or diesel), do they last the life of the car?
Love watching your content, but tread carefully with pigeon holing all cyclists as time wasters (I think they are too !). Chap I knew a few years ago owned a car body shop and went to the local BMW dealership after work - still in his overalls to buy a car for him and for his wife.. Totally ignored by the salesmen and so he left. He went to the local Jaguar dealership, where he was greeted and shown a bit of respect - resulting in him buying two top of the range Jags - one for him and one for his wife. A few days after delivery, he drove onto the BMW dealership forecourt and the salesmen were straight out on to him. He asked to speak to the sales manager who came out to see how they could help. Bob explained the situation and that the two cars the sales manager was looking at were supposed to have been two 5 series BMW's. The salesman were required to find alternative employment !

A 'guy on a bike' might genuinely be interested in your vehicles, but just not yet in the market for one. What if they tell someone they've seen something they might like the look of 🤷🏻
Maybe he's looking for something with a bit more load space.
Not sure but have you discussed the white Mercedes. Keep seeing clips of it and think it looks okay. Would like to know a bit more about it.
Will Cover next video
I noticed you never seem to have many VW Polos or Skoda Fabia's in stock do they cost more than your price range or are they hard to find at Auction. The Fabia of a certain age I always thought is a good little run around.
man on bike can be looking if the cars hve a tow hitch (he looked o at the Kia Cee'd
meaby you can do a collaboration with Chops? looks like he's got cars in the same pricebracket as you have
retail the blue mini and the red Vauxhall Astra
Man on bike scare 😂😂
this is crewe mate nobody will buy 8k-10k cars more like 500-2k max
Thinking about what you were saying about above 5k. Would it not be worth considering if you were to go to say 7k on very specific cars( - eg Aygo/c1/107/micra/500/Yaris) for example and then they will be newer and potentially attract the same base and newer trade ins and help you keep yard fuller as easier to prep and likely, better part ex?
How much for the blue Metro, one of the best vehicles to own when it's snowing 👍
Always Wondered If That Bonnet Was A Panhard Or A Triumph Herald Idea
Do you have a website with your cars??
Could you tell me about the ford focus 1.5tdci engine?
Can we have a video on the Gate man?
I've been wondering how you got on with that rates issue, over the boundary with next door?
Got it sorted, funny enough my rebate landed today from the council 👍😁
@@carukchannel Oh fantastic. Nice one Lee!!!
Put some fresh flowers on the shop counter in a vase and your sales will surge.
Bloody hell........a year already 😱😱
Yep you need to watch out for car cannibals they are after mainly Corsa parts at moment
1 year where did that go !!!
