I liked how he also corrected the English grammar in the tweet lol.
I'm sure he has better English than me by now and I'm a native lol
I cackled when he did that, cause he did it so casually 💀
Lol
@Erick Rowen This isn't the place to promote your scam
@@gwendalynnwatkins1296 what did he do?
That was from 2 years ago.. But I'm curious haha
I was once told by my Korean teacher that Korean grammar isn’t hard, it’s just a combination of very easy things. This is the perfect example. I never realized the whole abbreviation thing. That’s so smart.
Thank you!!
it's similar with a lot of the "hard" languages I've found. there are some concepts that initially seem very odd or a higher amount of "different" things but there's usually some internal logic and with repeated immersive practice it starts to feel natural.
@@moonlightning8269 Yes! I find it quite similar to Hindi
@@loveujiminiee I'm Indian. I studied Hindi all through my school years and I still suck at it. I studied Korean for about 5 years and I'm fluent. Imo Hindi is harder.
@@knightenchanter7908 ya but the use of the verb होना , adjectives and sentence structure I find similar, otherwise I agree that Hindi is much harder:(
You were truly born to teach! You make things so easy to understand! Thank you Hyunwoo for all you do :D
Indeed he was born to teach. When he simplified all of the examples i was like "aaahhhh""" 👏👏👏 thank you 선생님 😍
I agree! 👍🏽👍🏽 감사합니다, 선생님!
Thank you so much for all the effort that everyone puts into making TTMIK! As a language student, I can honestly say that I have not come across any other materials like the lessons that you guys provide (even some of the stuff that I have been taught at university is not as clear as your lessons/pdfs) - you seriously blow all competition out of the water - you all deserve some big award ☺️Thanks for all your time and effort 😜
jlaa perhaps you've not come across Japanese pod 101
I completely agree, I’ve tried to learn a few different languages over the years and TTMIK’s teaching and resources are far superior to anything else I’ve seen. Thank you for your hard work TTMIK!
@@metaforically That’s whole other language.
*a
Hyunwoo is truly amazing. 15 min lesson while speaking a non native language, explaining things perfectly.
Thank you sir.
I literally can’t unsee that “to do” as “todo”,the word ‘all’ in Spanish
JAJAJA a mí también me pasa
I learn Spanish as well as Korean and I can never unseen todo as English "to do''
@@flet__ is a spanish thing we have
Ahh so the -ㄴ다면 is like when we use "let's say ..." in English!! I always wondered what the difference was. Really really appreciate this video!!! Thank you TTMIK :)
*We need some TTMIK Merchandise like that HOODIE*
hi newbie
I always thought of the difference as "if" and "if + should".
한국으로 가면 - if/when I go to korea
한국으로 간다면 ㅡ if I should go to korea.
I think my way of differentiating them are correct but I really enjoyed the deeper and full explanation so it was very interesting to me anyway.
한국으로 간다면 - If I were to go to Korea.
I need dat hoodie so bad 😣
Sukutey ikr!!
this guy is the best teacher. is it really okay for him to teach these things for free? im learning so much and im not even paying. but then thank u for making it free
So -(ㄴ/는)다면 and -(ㄴ/는)다고 하면 poses a hypothetical situation while -(으)면 poses an expected event?
yes, it's like (in English) the difference between- "if we hang out tomorrow" or "if, by any chance, we could hang out tomorrow"
Sebastian - This is exactly what I was going to ask for clarificaton!
Kwetibaby - Thank you :)
The new in-depth Q&A videos are fantastic, guys. Great video!
Wow... Im a korean youtuber starter but the tv smart screen is a great idea and huge investment :)
So much info, so fast. Definitely an advanced intermediate lesson. Thanks for the explanation.
You are literally the only person I understand when you’re explaining grammar. Thank you so much
You guys are the best! Love watching your lessons while having breakfast every morning. A great way to start a day. 🥰🥰🥰
These videos are SOO amazing. Together with the work books they have helped me the most in learning and understanding korean grammer. I'm very thankful for all the thought and time put into these lessons!!~
this is so detailed yet so helpful. truly appreciate your lesson.
Really loved this episode! (Well, I love a lot of your videos!) Korean is the very first language that I learned completely from scratch through my own efforts, and I have Talk to Me in Korean to thank for that! Seriously, I'm teaching myself a bunch of different languages, but Talk to Me in Korean is in my opinion one of the best language learning resources out there. Interesting, high-quality, and informative, Talk to Me in Korean videos and books have helped me get to a level where I am almost able to watch a Korean show without subtitles. I'll keep watching and buying your books so that I can get to fluency! Many, many thanks!
It's been 4 years since I learn Korean from TTMIK. And TTMIK is still my favorite and my best korean language learning source. Thank you very much for teaching many of us.... 😍😍😍😍
I love the new interactive screen. It really added to your explanations.
i think this video is sooo awesome! i felt like i was actually in class! please continue making videos like this!
U r a great teacher.
I was so confused until u showed examples of the use of both.
Plz keep using this smart board.
Your explanation is exceptionally well done. I will definitely be following your channel from now on! Great job to everyone at TTMIK.
Thank you Hyunwoo. I'm always listening to your podcast in TTMIK.
What I really love about you guys is that you explain things not only IN context, but around context as well. It's one thing to say, "this means this". It's another thing to say "in THIS context, it means this". But even further, you guys explain the evolution of the concepts and ideas which really, REALLY ingrain the concept/idea into my head. There is so much detail in small bits of Korean this really helps to make everything make sense.
I loved this lecturee!! Pleasee make more videos with details I love it it makes me understand the real reason of using words in these kinda forms. Thank you soooo muchhh...
I always knew you were a great teacher, but watching this lesson really made me realise how amazing you are! I actually had to pause the video and be like “wow he’s really good at explaining this”, you make everything sound so easy and i always wonder how i never understood! 정말 감사합니다 현우씨~
Woahhhh amazing!!! I really love learning with ttmik ❤️
Thank you so much for making those complicated things easier for us to learn! I have learned a lot!
Great content and explanation! Thank you very much TTMIK!
I appreciate being direct and not straying too far away from the lesson. Somehow many seemingly good instructions go south when it’s suddenly but don’t do this don’t do that. This helps me focus.
The Korean Language Classes ( videos ) by TTMIK are so meaningful and easy to understand. Thanks for nice video.
감사합니다 선생님!!! Your lessons are so professionally done. The interactive board is really cool!
I'm speechless. YOU MAKE IT SO SIMPLE TO UNDERSTAND!! Why didn't I find this video earlier 😳😭💀 Thank you so much! You're amazing 🌸
This video was recommended to me right after seeing Jimin’s tweet where he uses 하면 😄😄
It was recommended to me right after I finished watching Korean Unnie's "I WISH to..." video. I was actually thinking about how can I differentiate between her lesson and the "if" because I'm familiar with both structures but never really studied them in detail.
Ttmik is so awesome!! Ah! Love, best wishes and gratitude to you guys👍
I'm so glad you still make these
Thank you; this was a very good lesson
I want to say a big thank you to you guys from TTMIK. I am not an english or korean native speaker but I really like to learn new languages. As a language student from Brazil (and I always learn every language I want all by my own) I would probably not know how to speak korean as much as I know now if I hadn't your lessons. If I become fluent in korean one day as I am in english now (not too fluent, but okay) then it will be because of you guys. You are always saving my life haha
Thank you ^_^!!!
This was explained soo well, i understand now ❤
your video is really useful and easy to understand. thank you so much!
Thank you so much. Your explanation is really detail and easy to understand. I was not really study Korean at the first time but your lessons are interesting and constructed logically. Thank you so much for your efforts. I would love to see more.
Thank you guys alot! It’s so much easier than just reading the explaination ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Your English is really cool and the way you elaborate things are understandable 😊 Thank you
선현우 선생님, I've just revisited this lesson, and since I had now covered these grammar structures on Level 5, this lesson makes so much more sense!! 이 수업은 한국어의 핵심 구조로 가는 문과 같아요! 감사합니다! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🌻
This is a great explanation
Thank you, this was so helpful and so well explained :)
I love your lessons. This is very helpful!!!

as an EPS aspirant, you guys really help me a lot.. thanks and more power.. love from the PH.
Thank you for this lesson that was so clear. 😁
By the way, I love your sweatshirt, you should do your own merch.
It could be a good way to recognize TTMIK's fans and a way to say talk to me in korean or doing relationship all over the world.
I hope you will sell it one day.
I am looking forward.
This helped a lot! thank you for the videos!
You're a good teacher. Thank you.
I never would have guessed the difference omg 😅 I thought they meant the same thing but now I know better ^^ thanks for this helpful lesson!

Thank you for the lesson Hyunwoo!!!
한국어 교습을 그만한다면 슬플 거예요 ㅎㅎ Great lesson Hyunwoo and the rest of the team!! I can't get enough, keep them coming!!
Oh my god thank you. I asked so many natives and they didn’t know how to differentiate. I kind of figured that I translated more “hypothetically” or “if I were to say” but it’s good to have confirmation
Extremely helpful! Thank you
Thanks you are amazing teacher I had ever seen
great lesson!! love it! learnt a lot~
많이 배웠어요 정말 감사합니다!
I saw how happy you are with that amazing sweater (which I want now) and with that amazing screen (which I want now) and that for some reason made me happy too 😆
