just ordered this board can’t wait to try it
Swore to myself I’d get Renne’s board when he got one, and here it is
This video is *almost* as cool as the thief hat!
Thanks for all the awesome content. Would the Arbor Hemlock bindings that I already own be a bad match for this board? I can't find any of the recommended bindings in stock in my size range.
No those should be solid.
@@AngrySnowboarder Thank you, I appreciate it!
Hey Avran I already have a Ravine Select, which I love thanks for the recommendation, and was looking for a twin or directional twin to go with it. Been looking at the Freaker and Crewzer, is there that much difference between them? I'm not a park guy but looking for something more playful for launching rollers, small/med jumps, sidehits, and buttering around at my small midwest hill but also still want some stability at speed. I was also looking at the Agent too but I assume it wouldn't be as stable at speed as the freaker or crewzer. I'm guessing the freaker would be a closer ride to my ravine with the dual rods as far as carving and pop go. This will be replacing my superpig which I originally intended to use as my all mountain freestyle board but find it rides like a slower version of my ravine as far as speed and edge to edge. Would any of three mention work for me and does one stand out more than the other for what I'm looking for? thanks
Get the Agent.
Hey Avran, lookin at a new all mtn freestyle board. Torn between this or Wired Directive. 40 years old, 5 11, 210 lbs, 10.5 boots, Marine Corps aged knees. Like to do a bit of everything but am limited due to my knees on jumps. Medium size is my limit. Mt. Hood Meadows is my home resort where there is plenty of rails and boxes to hit. I also like to just bomb down the mountain straightline and catch air on rollers. Thanks man, and keep sprayin those skiers, especially the fat ones.
This will be a hair more damp than the Directive so that will save your knees. Have you looked into aftermarket insoles for your boots? Those are game changers for saving knees.
@@AngrySnowboarder Thanks Avran, yes Ive been using Reminds for awhile now. After reconstruction of the knee when I wads in my 20s, I know have been blessed with Arthritis and tendonitus. Its just something I have to deal with. Thanks man, your reviews are awesome, straight to the point and no bullshit.
What size did you get. My mate is considering this in 160w. He’s 95kg size 10.5 us boot.
@@wesleyboyd2714 10 - 10.5 Men
@@brandontauscher9917 what size board.
Would you prefer to rider the Freaker or a Korua Otto as a quiver of one? I have 11.5 boot and like to search out pow and euro carves in the morning and casually roll through the park in the afternoon. Riding mostly in Summit County. Looking at the 157w or the 161 in the Otto. Thanks!
Sounds like you would prefer an Otto.
@@AngrySnowboarder thanks! I think I would prefer the Otto. Feels weird not buying a twin for the first time in 20 years.
I hit the like button and left a comment
How does this compare to the gnu essential service? Is one stiffer than the other? Does the freakier have comparable edge hold?
Essential service is way stiffer, more damp, more freeride. Freaker is more freestyle, softer, and has more snap out of it.
Hi Evan, how would you compare it to the standard? What would you suggest for a 38yo still having fun after 20+ years riding... Almost no more park, more focused on sidehits, buttering around, nice carves and a bit of pow in Europe.
Wearing size 11 fuse.
Thank s
Who the fucks Evan.
@@AngrySnowboarder hahahahaha sorry man, that s my phone freaking too...
Just checked few others review... And still around theses boards... Any suggestion? Would be a typo wide or a mercury more playable than both?
Thank s

Is this a replacement for the Speed Freak / Blur? Or entirely new board?
New board. Closer to the Stalecrewzer.
I'm 195lbs, have a size 12 boot, and ride in the Midwest. I typically ride a 158 wide or 263mm waist width. Size recommendation for the Freaker?
Take your pick 57w or 60w.
Hey will ever do a review on the gnu gwo
Not if you don't ask politely.
How come some boards like this in a 157W has a 268 waist width (witch I know isn't the right way to measure were your foot would be) but the Dancehall is the same but that's considered a short wide?
Look at your statement again specifically "157W" now go look at the Dancehaul and notice there isn't a narrow or wide option, it's just the size run? There's your answer.
At 6’0 153lb sz10 boots, what size do u recommend for a freaker acting as my all mountain board that I can take into the park
55ish
157w, stance set back, powder board? 205 6’. Seems like a fun ride.
Better choices for a pow board.
Hey @Angrysnowboarder do you think i should I get this on sale or wait for the new Rome Renegade that's coming out next season? For bindings, I am having a hard time deciding between Rome Vice, Bataleon astro, or blaster. What do you think would be some good bindings to pair with either boards?
If you want something stiffer and more aggressive get the renegade.
@AngrySnowboarder Thanks for the feedback Avran, appreciate it. Keep giving us great snowboard content.
Would you recommend this or the (regular) Capita Mercury? Can’t decide. Thanks!
Sure.
@@AngrySnowboarder sorry, I’ll re-phrase my question. Which do you prefer between this and regular Mercury? Thanks again.
I'm a Freaker guy but that's me.
@@AngrySnowboarder and the freaker is cheaper. Win-win 😊
Thanks for this review, I have an eye on this board to replace a Capita Totally fkn awesome from 10 years ago. do you think that my 178 cm /woman on a 152 could work ? Let me know. Thanks in advance.
Well we size snowboards on weight not height.
@@AngrySnowboarder good point, 60 kg , let’s say that the shop size chart never proposed me this board as it is in the men section , but I am totally obsessed by its feature .
52 will work if you're cool with it being stiffer and more responsive, otherwise bump down to the 49.
@@AngrySnowboarder thanks for the answer, I am not into soft boards and looking something responsive , I was wondering how much stiffer ? Like in a Jones scale? Btw if there’s also a Ravine 150 in the shop what would be your suggestions between these two? ( but still , the shape of the freaked , really got me ) . Thanks again !
I am between the Freaker and the Crewzer; just watched both your reviews and still having a tough time deciding. Any info that could sway me either way Avran?
Flip a coin.
@@AngrySnowboarder Crewzer it is; last question, would you recommend a 154 or 156 if I am 5’10 145ish
54
How's it different from the Telos Ranquet?
It's stiffer first of all. Sidecut is completely different. Also those rods give more snap.
How is the stiffness compared to a Capita Outsiders?
Way softer.
How does this compare to Yes. Jackpot? I’m deciding between Freaker, Jackpot, or maybe even Typo.
Jackpot has a little less pop to it and grips differently on edge. You'll notice that it steers just a tad more underfoot than this board.
Similar to the national?
Eh kind of but not really.
Should I go with Freaker or Party Mod?
Yes.
@@AngrySnowboarder maybe better question. Why is party mod $40 more than Freaker?
Different construction.
Do you think this is more stable than the national?
No.
Idea: Top 5 Boards that will only benefit you while attempting Pond Skimming
Top 5 reasons you should buy stickers that give you more horse power so you can make it across a pond.
@@AngrySnowboarder Top 5 Chemicals you can use for recreation instead of dumping in the Pond Skim pool
how does it compare to the ravine?
More freestyle focused.
any powder capabilities on this bad boy?
All snowboards are powder capable.
Just like any spoon having pasta eating capabilities. But obvious it was not what i was asking
Man I'm so torn between this deck and the K2 Instrument
More freestyle this, more freeride K2.
@@AngrySnowboarder manifest team probably the more comparable option from K2 eh?
i just ordered mine not 10 mins ago
To similar to the Warpig to add to a quiver?
Did you even look at the review?
Will it make me ride like Rene?
