You are welcome fencer. I am glad the video inspire you to bring back a 30 over years Schumacher back to life again. Perhaps you can present the buggy here in youtube later when you have finish building one day. My first & last buggy was a red Nikko Turbo Panther back in 1986. 37 years later this is my 2nd RC Buggy. Let's ride again......
The HACKMOTO V2 17T 540 brushed motor is very good. Smooth. Fast. When you pull the throttle it response very well. Torque is good too. It is a very well balance motor.
Nice. It's going to be a very nice build, just take your time grab some coffee and don't rush to the finish line. All Schumacher's vehicles instruction given there at the manual are very concise. You just need to prepare the right tools (Phillips screwdrivers, MIP Hex 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm) Actually the box kit does come with the standard Allen hex keys tool. The tricky part is the spring clip for the servo. You can check that out from my earlier build video. Modifications? No I didn't do much modifications at all....The only thing I changed was the x4 Wheels /Tyres. They were from JCracing.
@@divisionbreak Thanks for the advise. I havn't built a schumacher yet only Tamiya and Kyosho. I'm currently building an Optima Mid which is very nice.
You are welcome Nixx. Same here. Neither I have build a Tamiya nor a Kyosho buggy before. This is my first time building a 2WD Schumacher Cougar & thanks to the kind & approachable Schumacher's staff for their advice and help when I ran into some issues earlier. I hope I can get to build the 4WD Schumacher XLS CAT dream buggy one day. I see you have the OPTIMA MID...that's a nice one.
Thanks for the Video. I have mine in bit in a box from way back in the 90's. I think you have encouraged me to get it going !
