    1. Long body. You can't hit him. He can hit you.
    2. Excellent fight iq. Transitions are unary. And he switches often. Fighters get trapped between fighting logics.
    3. He throws attacks with real menace. Everything is designed to hurt.
    4. He's actually rather big and strong for having such length. If you look at his upper back you can see its actually rather thick. This means he can overpower especially when combining natural leverage.

Tbh the whole fight was good. There were some scary moments for Jones in that fight. In this fight it was the only fucking time that Jones got rocked. He lost that 1st round. And then you see jon playing machida's game in the 2nd. That was brillant tho. He was still struggling at the beginning of the 2nd with Machida blitzing on him. I thought it was really messed up the way he just let him go knowing damn well Lyoto was out cold. These fighters have their opponents lives in their hands, they should be looking out for each other when it comes to things like that. Lyoto could have gotten seriously hurt from that collapse. I said it for a while that I think jones is a bit of a sociopath, I don't think he has much empathy for anyone and all of the controversies,, he's bare face lied for his whole career about doping, also didn't seem genuinely remorseful after that hit and run. All of that makes for a killer in a fighter. I don't like him as a human, I think he's false and a bit trash, but I don't think there's anyone scarier than him in UFC history. To all khabib fans out there, khabib's game is to just grab them legs, occasional strikes and submit the opponent after getting them on the ground that's just about it.
Where as Jones plays on whole another level, he has entire spectrum of mixed martial arts, from grappling and tko'ing Gustafson on ground, head kicks that can knock even DC unconscious, standing guillotine to dragon, kimura to belfort, elbows that are viscous both on ground & stand up and beating the life out of shogun so much so that he taps even after the fight is over.
