INGREDIENTS:
Bistec encebollado:
• 1.5lbs cubed or flank steak
• Juice of 1/2 lime
• 2 tbsp white vinegar
• 1/2-1tsp Adobo
• 1/4 tsp garlic powder
• pinch black pepper
• 1/2 tsp oregano
• 1 small white onion
• 1/2 bell pepper
Note: adjust flavors at the end.
White rice:
• 1.5 cups white rice (medium grain)
• 2 cups water
• 2 tsp oil
• 1 tsp salt
Red beans:
• 1 can small, red beans
• 1 can-full of water
• 1 tbsp sofrito
• 1 tbsp tomato sauce
• 1 packet Sazón w/ culantro y achiote
• 1 packet pork sazón
• 2 tbsp chopped onion
• 1/4 cup cubed ham
• 1/2 tsp white sugar
• pinch of oregano
1 extra ripe plantain!

This is so beautiful, I love your choice of meals, it is exactly what my grandmother used to cook when I was a kid. Luckily for me, my grandmother lived on the same road as my family. All the neighbourhood backyards had avocado trees, plantains, etc..and of course chickens running around free. Thank you for a great video of amazing food. Love ❤️ from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹

How long do you cook the beans and what heat ?
They’re usually done after about 20 minutes in low/medium heat.
