So will this fit a Vm22 26mm mikuni carburetor because I can only find ones for a Vm26 30mm carburetor. I have also been told by someone who sells carburetors online that the Vm26 carburetor mixture screw has a thread size of M6x.75 and the Vm22 is M6x.5 I'm a little lost can't seem to find the one I need and no one I ask can tell me if it fits the carb
@the jealous gonad thanks for letting me know I ended up using a small screwdriver piece with some electrical tape wrapped around it done the job just fine
did it end up working i have a vm22 and they say theres no extended screws available but they make them for the vm26 which uses the same screw as a vm22?
@@ebkbk9902 I never did find the right size screw for the vm26 though. Anyway trust me get a Nibbi PE30 OR a Nibbi PE28 and you will never mess with the VM's again
To everyone that is out there and is struggling to find one of these extended screw. i did my research and i found out that the vm22 carb and the vm26 carb both have the same size hole and thread size for the Air mixture screw so the ones on ebay that state there for a vm26 carb will fit in your vm22 carb. to be honest those these mkuni carbs are cheap and fake your better off buying a genuine mikuni Carb
@@nickcr8 actually the vm 22 carb isn’t fake there made by Mikuni and they have been since the 1980s as they were used on the dr series of bikes there is just so much suply that a lot of Chinese motorcycle manufacturers use them as there cheap as hell due to the shear number that have been produced

Okay so my pz30 on my hawk 250 had the mixture screw turned way out and it wouldn't run without choke. So I turned it in so it was only like 1 and a half out instead of 2 and a quarter. It will run without choke now so that tells me in is more of a rich mixture.
@@grayghost832 oh okay thanks yeah my problem is when i try to snap the throttle from idle to wide open it bogs down and if i just hold it it'll die..but if i kinda just roll the throttle smooth it's perfect..my guess would be its too lean might have to get a bigger slow jet i tried adjusting that screw and it didn't do much.
@@leecasteel9211 Yeah that might be your issue. There's the main jet and the pilot jet or whatever they call it and I just got some cheap ones off eBay. It will do some funky stuff if like that if it's not quite getting enough fuel at lower rpms.
I have a pitster pro x5 pitbike with a yx150 motor on it.. im having issues i got the bike running good and idleing fine.. now while im holding the clutch in and put it in 1st gear it jumps and instantly dies as if im not even pulling the clutch handle in put i am as far as it will go and still has this issue.. starts up fine in neutral till i put it into gear.. also online says its a start in any gear and in 1st gear with clutch pulled it jumps when kicked over as if clutch isnt working and its sitting just sitting in gear with no clutch used .. any ideas ??

will this fuel screw help to tune out the off idle bog ive got. New bike, didn't do this the first day, but by the end of the first fuel tank, i have off idle bog.
It does matter. I can only turn out mine 1/4 turn for maximum idle. I don’t want to hear that my pilot jet is the problem. I’m running a 20 pilot jet at 800ft elevation...pilot jet is not the problem
@@Kornatzz No it's a fuel screw for adjusting air/fuel mixture at idle. If it was on the airbox side of the carb, it would be an air screw. Most 2 stroke carbs use an air screw, except for Dellorto carbs, I've only seen them with a fuel screw on 2 stroke bikes.
This chinese mikuni vm very problematic to tune. As last I installed an Original Honda Keihin carburetor and its so easy to tune and been running the Keihin for 2 yrs now without any problem.
You can get fuel screw at any dirt bike shop or online
AWESOME....NEVA SEEN THAT MOD BEFORE
Why do you use the old spring and not the one that comes with it ?
Amazing mechanic advice this dude is gold
can you also swap the throttle side adjuster on the vm22 for the one on the vm26 and can you give me a link to part for vm 22
Just switched from the sock jet to a 115 now it has all kinds of throttle up high but just need to adjust it down low is bogging
Dumbest place for a air fuel mixture screw🙄. Always have to take mine off to tune it
same here...
Could this cause high idle

I got a pz27. so your saying tighting the screw makes it richer? And loosening it makes it leaner?
@@leecasteel9211 yes loosening it opens it up more inside and allows more fuel to pass through. Also if it starts popping bad you know it's too lean.

Jeff Vanderwal adjust your clutch
It's probably a "wet clutch" ......They depend heavily on the correct oil viscosity if it is a wet clutch.
link for the extended mixer screw please.
How can I get one ???
Is that the Chinese vm22? Cuz mine doesn't look like that at all.

Can somebody help me i had a Greyish spark plug was running bit rich i started closing it and it started backfiring and now it doesnt idle at all
ur toast
yikes man grey is not good
a light tan/gray color tells you that the spark plug is operating at optimum temperature and that the engine is in good condition.
I thought the tighter was more fuel ? Counterclockwise is more air (leaner) !!
that is for air-fuel screw principle, the fuel-air screw is the opposite...
Depends on carb design
Some have fuel screw, which would be on the front of the carb, some have a air screw which would be on rear of the carb
Air screw adds more air as u loosen it, fuel screw adds more fuel as you loosen it
I went to the website, what is the part called to enter in the site search?
go on aliexpress and search for cnc air fuel mixture
do more 189 videos.

Amazon sells them. I believe you have the o-ring and washers on wrong. They go below the spring don’t they?
no the o ring creates the seal so goes on last after the washer
lmfao why would the o ring go after the spring
But there was a second washer in your hand that you dropped and didn't put on did you know that?? In my Peter Griffin voice😎😎🤣🤣
can't be too smart calling the idle mixture screw assembly a " jet" ! 1D10T
No reason to be mean like that. It's just an adjustment screw. I just got my first VM22 and this looks like a great addition.
