- The Rolling Stones have announced the release of their first album with new music in 18 years. The album, "Hackney Diamonds", is the first since the death of drummer Charlie Watts in 2019, and the first containing original material since 2005. The Stones' 24th studio album, set for release on October 20, has 12 tracks, with the single "Angry" the first to come out. The event on 6 September at the Hackney Empire theatre in east London was presented by US talk show host Jimmy Fallon.

Yes, Graham Norton has a way of talking with, conversing with, his guests. Jimmy Fallon is a talented guy, Saturday Night Live alum, but he seemed a bit nervous here. The guy with the best sense of humor on stage was Mick Jagger.

Rolling Stones are to Rock & Roll as Beastie Boys are to hip hop. Substandard perpetrators of the true genre.
You're out of your mind the BB are hip hop pioneers in it since 1983, discovered LL Cool J, first to take Public Enemy on tour, first to take Cypress Hill on tour, always innovative, never pretended to be something other than themselves except at the beginning under the direction of Russel Simmons who the ended up bailing on. Its fair to say you don't like their music but to say "Substandard perpetrators" is demonstrably incorrect.
So the band will now tour, each night playing 3 or 4 songs from Hackney Diamonds while filling the rest of their shows with songs from their extensive (and fantastic) back catalog, thereby demonstrating that they have been reduced to being the world's greatest Rolling Stones cover band.
Why so bitter?
Couldn't they choose a better person for this? This guy sold out to the woke and has no clue of the epic geniuses before him.
