Headline rate is awesome. Always good feeling . being based outa new england. Theres quite a bit of frieght thst needs to be moved 100-300 miles paying $3-5 PM Problem i found either when going to NJ or NY specially the island. A 150 mile trip can sometime take all day n tolls can also eat into the profit.. Either way its a days work for $900 bucks either short term or even running 600 miles. Always wanna make $1k a day.. I know for me NJ and NY traffic frustrates the $hit outa me. Rather be pulling on open road.. Keep it safe outhere
I would rather deadhead all the way home than fuck with NY. The traffic is bad the people think they are smarter than you. Plus they shit all over the second amendment. Fuck NYC. I wouldn't piss out a fire in NYC.
Happy to see things working out for your guys. Keep up the hard work. It will only get better from here. Thanks for the info. Be safe and always God bless
Hey man can never use too many straps or chains.. You take what you feel it takes to make the load safe and secure that's ALL that matters! Keep grinding man!
This when you go inside and try to negotiate dedicated loads. Then on the other end do some leg work find something going right back that way that you can maybe dedicate. How I got into moving expensive cars.
There were a lot of Navy Ships built right in that area during WWII. The little island right off of where you were was a dumping area for old Wooden Scows, they were abandoned and left to rot there.
Those lights you delivered are getting ready to be used when the power goes out in NYC. Something bad is about to happen on both the east and west coasts. Y’all be safe traveling and God bless you.
On these short runs you want to look at total time and figure out a hourly rate. You want to figure out time required from deadhead, to load, drive and unload. For you that might be $100-$125/hour. We had to use this model for running short loads in Chicago. $5.50/mile wasn’t uncommon at all.
I used to drive semi with a flatbed 43 years try locking up your straps throw it once over the axle then around The strap so the strap pulls on Itself Do it as well on the chains guarantee it they won’t come loose the chain will pull out itself
Hey Guys. Always a great job. I like those binders. I like watching your videos because it makes me feel not so alone out here in the hot shot world. Seeing someone else doing the same thing.
When I was pulling a stepdeck Trailer I use to put 3 or 4 of your loads on my Trailer a week out of the Chicago area back to the North East . That Trailer cost me $36,000 ,00 how much did your setup cost ?
You kneed all binders it would be easy for this load no bull shit straps all you need is binders and make sure you have light covered this salvage yard makes big cash
Do you drive for somebody or do your own the truck and trailer yourself I drive an 18-wheeler wondering what kind of money you guys make versus what I make kind of thinking about getting out of what I'm doing & trying hot shotting I live down in Florida
6.per mile. But you probably spent about 150 in tolls. Not to mention the whole day it took you to do the load. add the second driver and expenses, your making about minimum wage. Good job!
6:07 if you look right there under your strap you will see the trailer frame for the light and it has an eye loop welded on the bottom side. sorry but this securement job is a fail.
Awesome video....and very happy you folks had a productive day!! Safe travels to you two!!

I am from NC I do not get to see things like that thanks for taking a couple minutes to walk over there and share that to us
A true trucker never knows what day it is but never forgets the date.
Nice bro! Sweet rate for a short trip! Hopefully you get more of those! 2 of those per day be super nice!

Last time in NY, NJ was 1990 for me. I let the owner drive from @25 miles before GW.

I live in NJ and the traffic that bleeds out of Staten Island and NY is crazy any time of day or night. Forget seeing the speed limit.
The look on her face was priceless! Keep rolling! Enjoy those views!
Congratulations on the new dispatcher. Worth their money when they know what they are doing. Tie down looks fantastic.
Pro tip: you can watch series at kaldrostream. Been using them for watching a lot of movies recently.

There is a Walmart in Oakland, California that was in business but closed its doors several years ago
Crazy I've never seen one. Maybe an old building and they built a new one and moved.
@@SouthGeorgiahotshot Actually no, too much theft, the store was not making money
Great job becarefule using those little straps if they don't have a rating you can get in trouble with dot for using it ....
Terex is a huge company. Same company you went to in Durand Michigan.
You guys are close to the NY terminal port. I think I know the scrap yard you dropped in. It's actually for sale currently
You kneed all binders it would be easy for this load no bull shit straps all you need is binders and make sure you have light covered this salvage yard makes big cash
Best ratchet binders on the market!!!
I was just talking about how nice they are while filming this load I'm on now.
dollar general is putting wal mart out of business....lol...if dollar general had truck parking lots, they would make billions
What board are you using to get loads? I'm trying to look and see how much demand is in my area, but all the boards I find are for full semi trailers.
Truckstop and dat. 99% will be semi. Get a semi
@@SouthGeorgiahotshot Are you switching to a semi from your current rig?
@@Smacd8402 thatz the plan
That’s great!
Welcome back to the expense, congested Northeast ! 😂😂😂
Great to hear you got a better dispatcher ! Hope you make a better profit. You must be a transplant because you don’t sound like a s. Georgia boy !
Military brat
I was in the US Navy for 3 yrs 9 months & 28 days stationed in Va. Beach, Va. NAS Oceana. Airdale !!!
How to know when your dispatcher is lying to you when his lips are moving just like an attorney lmao well your guys's video be safe out there you guys
1:51 Nice Cakes!
Lmao😂😂👀👀
how did you find your dispatcher and how much do you pay them? also is it per load they get paid?
How much did you gross after tolls , That bridge in Staten Island is expensive .
Do you drive for somebody or do your own the truck and trailer yourself I drive an 18-wheeler wondering what kind of money you guys make versus what I make kind of thinking about getting out of what I'm doing & trying hot shotting I live down in Florida
He owns the truck and trailer but he works for a company. I may be wrong tho
The best to good fellow
That intro was LOUD. Headphone warning ⚠️

Glad to see that you are getting better loads buddy. Do you ever look at your emails cause I sent you two of them awhile ago. Just curious
I'll look when I stop tonight

Bte tears 4.50 per mile. Great rate UNTIL something comes loose
it's always better to over do straps and chains. i always do. nothing better than a load that you don't have to worry about while yur driving.
6.per mile. But you probably spent about 150 in tolls. Not to mention the whole day it took you to do the load. add the second driver and expenses, your making about minimum wage.
Good job!
Nice paying load. Who did you guys use to file your boc3 and UCR?
David Yager .... look into joining OOIDA. They can help you out with just about everything! They filed my BOC-3 for free. Fast & Free!!!
Did my credit myself. Got my box done for $20
Belly wrap does NOT count as securement. FYI
meaning they dont count it as a tie down point?
$60 a night is a lot of fuel

You should have the customer remove the bulbs.
They break under vibration.
Good to know. These were from an auction lot. Guy could barely run the forklift much less remove a bulb lol
That music gave me autism
That's always fun to joke about

Oh I seen it. Just didnt have any more chain.
You shouldn't belly rap on that type of load, as it can still move, you should always choke the load so it can't move under any situation
I like the video but there is a lot of wind noise.
Bom dia, lindo vídeo
