Dude, they’ve always been at the top of their game. They’re the kings of death metal. Saw the 92 Blessed tour, and that was something else. 31 years ago!
sPongebItch bObface I love David’s voice through every change it’s gone through, but I think he’s consistently improved over the years. He sounds amazing here imo
Not as good but up there, I’ve seen them live with David after Steve left and then I got to see them when Steve returned. I wish I saw them during formulas era live.
Yea I know. The first time I watched this video I was blown away. I'm a bassist and tried playing this song just how he did and it was almost impossible. Even trying every strumming method i know but just couldn't do it.
Saw Morbid Angel twice, once with Pantera and again with Slayer. Two most brutal shows I've been too. The pits were nuts in a small venue and stadium. Much respect for these guys still playing brutal music in their late 50's 🤘🤟💯
@@fatdomgomiello720 Probably. I caught Pantera/Soulfly/Morbid Angel/Nothingface at the Tabernacle during that tour, and it was amazing. At one point during Soulfly's set, members from the other bands all came out and played drums together in one big drumline. Dimebag, Vinny, Morbid Angel et al.
at 2:35 I love how they did the dueling guitar solos..before it was only trey handling the guitar solos..that reminded me of Jeff and Kerry on multiple slayer songs...this was the last decent morbid angel lineup

This is a scientific fact, and there have been studies done about this too. So consider yourself part of the elite group that can comprehend metal music....
@morbid angel I wish I could find the video again where this study was done, so I could post the link. Most people gravitate towards simple repetitive beats, or well, trendy shit heard on the radio. I place metal music and classic music in the same category.
This band had the potential to be the best, most consistent death metal band, their 90’s output with Gateways are truly amazing. If only they started to make more albums with David once he rejoined and made something truly special. We really need a new amazing Morbid Angel album with Dave :/
David is close as possible to Death metal vocal perfection. Also his stage presence is much more powerful than all others , full of charisma and power ! He is much more powerful now than then when young (though he was already powerful then) ! Also love his style and look, as real man should look !
+EGGJAZZ care to share your sources of information? i have heard many things possibly true/untrue. Regardless of how perverted he is I still think he has the best death metal vocals of any band. That is just my opinion though
+kittymom2 surprisingly enough the essence and power of death metal usually gets captured better live than in the studio^^ I have glanced over so many deathmetal bands labeling them as uninteresting until i saw them live, 2 very different beasts, ofcourse this might also backfire, but you get my point:)
I absolutely agree what you say about Trey Azagthoth the problem is... that this guy on the stage is not Trey, just watch wacken 2006 and you'll realize
Letra Confront me unholy ones Bastard saints scorn of the earth I summon thee now poison me Death under will burn in my soul Exalt me enemies of the lamb Intrude, we are of one Under will, I walk the path of sin With your spells I die again Raise me from mortal My will be your will My words speak your words Your pains raise me to bliss What of this anger now Received to lance your enemy I feel the energy The poison moves in me I spill blood Scorn of the earth, I witness In rapture I'm born again Scorn of the light, I bear scorn In rapture I'm reborn
This kicks too much ass, shouldnt even be legal. I love the way Dave sings since domination onwards, its not cookie monster death vocals, a more original sound. Trey is the best metal guitarist period end of story.
@@jessewilliams7226 Guitar playing taste is purely subjective. I just like how Trey expresses through his solos, not all flashy all the time, there is am underlying sonic story.
I saw these guys lives a couple times right around the time this video was made. I might have even been in the crowd there. I have to say, of all the hard bands I've seen and loved; these guys' live show was something unlike any of at that time. The sound pierced me in a way that no other band had before or since. I'm not a big morbid angel fan. But, the live shows I experienced with this line-up and crew was the absolutely fucking best ever. Anyone at those shows can testify, it was quite a special time. I hope there are more vids like this so my grandchildren can someday see how badass our metal has been and they never forget how badass it can be. Brothers and Sisters - Hail Satan!!
Great tempo!
Outstanding performance
Trey Azagthoth is an alien. Those solos made my heart stop.
This is inhumanly brutal stuff
as a former MIB man... confirmed
And to think he did all the solos on the album all by himself. Shits unreal
He was a cool dude when i met him years ago.
Alien guitar god
These recordings is Morbid Angel at their absolute best ever. The peak of death metal performance
@Von_Nightmare_ Luciferian maybe, but this is the best recording i have seen.

Only fingers no pick
U cant hear a thing, maybe it is even unplugged 😂
@@Cannibalint3use Headphones 😂

Man I never noticed until now but Tim Yeung is a fucking monster
Wow! David Vincent's voice sounds really good! This is tight, as good as the album version!
Almost. I miss those raspy grunts he used in the original mix.
It really is!
sPongebItch bObface I love David’s voice through every change it’s gone through, but I think he’s consistently improved over the years. He sounds amazing here imo

Seen them live sepultura black Sabbath and morbid stole the show pits everywhere
Their sound tech has lived behind me for like 20 years. Its cool to know Tampa still has metal legends living under our noses.
Is he still the sound tech for them, because he could have told Trey Azagthoth to stop fucking up the notes on Saturday night in Brooklyn!

Funny that in their early and best albums he used a pick.
His girlfriend must be very happy
Evil D is Underrated as a bass player, the way he keeps up with the double kick Drum is pretty impressive!

This song as great sound quality. The drums and bass just pound my speakers!
Absolute killer. Dave Vincent's vocals are outstanding. Riffs flawless. Superb sound quality on this one too.

I was in front of Trey against the stage the whole time for this show :) One of the best concerts I've ever experienced!
Excelent Performance. Geniuses on their instruments.
