listen to the album my friend it oozes morbid angel in every song. there may be progressive sounds you find wierd but thats a good thing for metal. otherwise all youd get is remakes of abominations of desolation which would be shite. if you cant hear mobud angel in the album then youve missed out on a great album.
You make a good point. 'Nevermore' and 'Blades for Baal' were really good. 'Too Extreme', 'Radikult', and 'Ten More Dead' are some of my other faves. I can appreciate that MA tried something new and different at the time.
I was realy shocked MA's fan dislike Illud Divinum's era, because I do not expect metal world and metal fans to become conservative: this is entirely bullshit, and a non sens to rockn'roll. Metal bands want to evolve too, I totally disagree to what was said about MA by this era. And the result was another split. Congratulations to the so called "fans" of MA.
I honestly can't figure out that too. MA fans are so closed in their minds ??? Open up please !!! MA is a GREAT band shortly, DIvid is a very good album that opens perspectives to new music. CREATIVITY is also an asset for Death Metal bands, I am VERY sorry !!! Michel, France
it's just not very good when you stack it up against their other (very good) material imo. Even the "real" metal songs apart from Nevermore are kind of bland. and going through the motions for the most part. I don't hate the album nor am I trying to convince you it sucks but I can see why some die hard MA fans do. To be honest, I was in complete shock when "I am Morbid" came on the first time. Like...Guys, what are you doing?? lmao. I even wondered if the album was some kind of inside joke or just something to get their name in the spotlight for a while. Ultimately the band is not at fault for the way people feel about their music. They just did whatever they wanted to do at the time and people didn't like it and the reaction was quite ironic from people who supposedly know what Morbid Angel are about.
not saying illud divinum is a good album, not at all. but at least this track, existo vulgore and blades for baal are good songs, you guys can't deny that :P
ILLUD is a GREAT album as a whole ! So many albums I´ve witnessed being completely misunderstood since the 80s when I started listening to metal which are considered classics today. Albums which even caused bands to break up ... oh yeah , look at "Domination" even when it came out - "oh! Too many Industrial influences, Ohhhhh, too experimental" - Bang ! There goes David Vincent , enter Tucker and 3 generic MA releases later Trey wakes up to the fact that MA were always about creative freedom ... lol, apparentely not much has changed , Trey, not to worry, people will worship this album´s creativity and unique vision in another 20 years or so lol
Never said they sound bad but I would have loved to see them in the formulas or gateways era when the master pete the feet sandoval was still part of morbid
It's sad to see in the comments that no one realized that this is not Trey on stage, it's just a guy who looks alike, but it's not Trey, if you doubt it watch Wacken 2006 and compare.
Without David Vincent on vocals Morbid Angel isn’t the same!! I don’t know what they’re thinking!! He sounds fuck’n awesome!!! And always has. So what if he likes country music too! ( IMO) that just means he’s more open minded,, which is a good thing!! Probably helps him wright better Death Metal Jams!
I actually like this song. That drummer is a machine.
Illud wasn't a true Morbid album, but this tune is a true Morbid song.

It was a different album for the band but there's a few bangers on it. This song is sick.
David's vocals are insane and unique and no one can sing like him! Look at this clean singing!
Yeah I can't get into the other singer it's David or nothing for me.
The "clean" singing blows. It sounds like a seal in labour.
Tim Yeung is a true beast
Honestly that vocal effects is awesome. They should’ve used it on the album
It's one of the best songs from Morbid Angel. Tim Yeung makes the difference. He plays with real power and passion. Great gig and sound quality.
david vincent is crazy in this song!!!
Fucking hell! Never knew Morbig Angel were this tight live....i've missed out! If they ever come to UK again i'll go see wherever they play!
Drummer the best
2:15 stick drop, but great recovery!
Trey is the GOD of death metal since 1985.
Man. When I saw them at Scion Fest and they played this, I was stoked for the new album.
Unfortunately that changed when the album came out. 😂😂😂
Mistrzowie morderczych riffów.

Brian Forbes no
Sure are great metal \m/
Fuck the haters, Dave Vincent rules..
Sure does \m/
Underrated
Camera man obviously doesn't know Trey is where the action is. He is Morbid Angel
seen them live yesterday, what a fucking shock!
Never said they sound bad but I would have loved to see them in the formulas or gateways era when the master pete the feet sandoval was still part of morbid
SMG on drums
David Vincent takes too much video time, Trey should have at least half exposure during the filming.
Its very hard to see a bassist with so much exposure
Excelentemente pulento 🐓

Nevjebenno!

Gateways To Annihilation was one of the heaviest but I understand I like the early shit with him but Steve is solid too

What happened with the bass drum sound around 2:36?
Uaoo uaoo ua 2:56
This singer must have loved Slayer when he was in HighSchool. He definitely copies Araya
