No... Actually, to think that fullfilling a dream is inspiring shows how bad we are used to live.
We live a live in wich a dream is not something we live, so we get "inspired" when we see someone else doing it.

It always satisfying seeing your own design become reality. I remember designing a big banner to cover a wall for a cafe, the visitor make it as a background for photos and selfie, makes my heart over the moon 🤩
I’m sure it can be stressful but she’s living the dream
I quit my job doing graphic design for an architect [even though I loved it] because it just wasn't going anywhere. Now I'm doing a mechanical engineering apprenticeship & this story makes me realise there _are_ other opportunities out there, and sometimes it takes training in another sector to gain the skills a company is looking for, even if you end up transferring later on 😀
I think I'm more creative than technical, but am really enjoying hands-on training as it's challenging me in a new way, and although I see myself having some sort of design career, it's incredibly helpful to understand how things work and to learn how to push boundaries and be curious, and test and refine components to achieve better results and have an innovative mindset.
These videos giving insight into how the team works along with team members is fantastic and quite informative. I appreciate how she has achieved her childhood dream, showing how dedication, and resiliency are fundamental parts to success in any field. Best of luck at the Singapore GP.🔥

@@nicolasgarcia248 How do you know it’s “who she knows”. For all you know she could have studied hard at University, applied for the job and got it through merit?
Autosport have dozens of jobs like hers advertised every week from companies like Mercedes, Red Bull etc. Williams have a specific apprentice program looking for school leavers to join in all sorts of motor sport jobs. Do all of these people get their jobs from who they know and if they did why waste time and money on advertising them in the first place?
@@sultanoftippoo3857 because it doesnt matter if its F1, politics, a factory or a pet shop, good jobs are obtained vía contacts, not merit.
If she happens to be one of the tiny minority that got it by merit, good for her
I study graphic design in Colombia and I really like Mercedes F1 and the designs are very nice, what a great design team! 💙
Hard work do not guarantee success, but discipline and consistency sure give you a chance to progress.

2019 was the first year we got the star pattern on the back of the car. Where the actual Mercedes logo had its circle removed to just get the 3 point star. I'd be fascinated to know how that went about. To take something completely sacred for years in their visual identity and create a corrupted version of it as a pattern. I was fascinated by this bold step and Katherine was right there when it happened.
My dream is to one day work for Mercedes as a designer, and I will get there❤

Now this is a really interesting topic as I work in the same field. The creative freedom might not always be seen with good eyes internally, but it's a normal way of working in our field of work, I think. Although you're not with my favorite team I wish you the best of luck.

Fun facts, it's sad that the majority of people don't quite understand the dedication and hours put in this stuff. The work files, the pre press samples, the briefs, the mails and much more thats going on behind the scenes. This is only a glimpse of it. Bravo for Mercedes for actknolaging these people, who are the most important that make sure we all love the brand and the story behind it. Besides Katherine, there is actually a whole team making this happen, so bravo and thanks to all of you!

I always wanted to be part of a F1 team. My dream as a kid was to be a F1 driver, but that ship has sailed. I want to be in the pits surrounded by amazing people, helping and been part of the team.
