Dexter is a serial killer, Harry was a cop who taught him and enabled him, and Deb, once she found out, covered for him and even tried to use him. Hannah is so irrelevant that she gets one mention in NB and that feels about right. Deb on the other hand haunts the narrative till the very end. The fact that Dexter supposedly chose Hannah over Deb, decided to leave the country and his sister and left his child with Hannah was all so implausible and out of character.

The more and more I watch Dexter....you can not convince me he wasn't also deeply in love with Deb the same way she was with him. Truth of matter is... you don't choose anyone over the person you truly love. Never. Not once. And he kept choosing deb over and over and over again. As much as he displayed his love for hanna... he STILL choose deb over her. And then said... she's my sister. I've been in love, and that DEFINITELY triumphed over my siblings' relationship, lol.

Hannah was the most forced ass character I've ever seen.... Deb and Dex would not have just forgiven her that easy and that quick after just reconciling their relationship. I hated this entire storyline... it was so out of place and non believable at every turn... Dex being a fumbling idiot was so out of touch it was painful to watch ep after ep and not cus at the TV... Like "Now you know you would allow that crap to happen" Not sure what the writers were thinking on this one... Hannah didn't need to be brought back just so she could be used as a prop to take care of Harrison... Harrison had grandparents and a brother & sister he could have gone with.... Hannah McKay should've stayed in seasons past... Not appear 6 ep. before the finale and have the two main characters do a 180 on their own character development just 6 ep prior... for what exactly.... For it to end the way it was already going to end? Glad Hannah's ass is dead and we don't have to see her ever again...
I agree! Dexter was so desperate to find a ride or die when in the beginning he claimed he didn't need anyone. He had no feelings and all that crap just be so desperate for it. The writers really messed up in season 7 and 8. Show wasn't enjoyable anymore. Dexter kept trying to take on apprentices and it was annoying. Because they are still people who fit the code he even fits his own code. Dexter is a flat out coward and was scared to go to prison. Honestly he should have never had full custody of Harrrison he's like a drug addict he's unstable and so many times he put a kill before his own son.

It feels right that he's gone from hiding everything from Rita, to being open with Lumen who wasn't the way he was when it comes to murder to finally Hannah, finally someone who understood him. I feel like some people hated Hannah solely because they wanted Dexter to be together with Deb. That "invest" storyline was the weakest storyline between Dex and Deb by a mile and I'm glad the writers never fully went there. They're so much better as supportive siblings.
The problem is Hannah can't control herself like Dexter's other victims, she will kill again (and tries to) and she doesn't have a code. I'm surprised she didn't kill Dexter or his kid, it was crazy to leave the kid with her in the finale. I can't believe he survived for New Blood.

Heck, the abortion guy only threatened to leave her if she didn't get an abortion. She killed him for basically leaving her only.
Hannah was such a weird character. Almost every single person in Dexter has some charm, even if it’s a “love to hate them” type of deal. Hannah is one of the only ones who I just straight up don’t give a shit about and wish she was never in the show.
Whoever acted as “Hannah “ wasn’t up to the same sublime quality as the rest of the cast.
Same she ruins the show for me in seasons 7 and 8. Dexter should have killed her.
Must be hard to act in a show where you have to play as your (then) husband’s platonic sister and watch him constantly have hot girlfriends.
