@billtribble7197 This. I nearly didn't watch this because I have seen the interview before. However I am very glad that I did because the commentary is excellent. This is a great crime channel.
It’s interesting to hear him justify an action, then have them repeat the exact same action done with a different officer and have him instantly say “oh no, that’s not right” The frustrating thing about this is we have politicians who are literally fleecing MILLIONS and we can’t even get a single investigation going, but some small time player fleeces an extra $100/mo and they send in the big guns.
You’re lost. It’s the police that are the true revenue collectors in the country, by far. I don’t care about billionaire private citizens paying public officials, nobody is helping in that sector because we are too capitalist and it’s beyond repaid. I have an issue with public officials stealing money from private citizens. Everyday private citizens. Focus on the real issue that we face head to head, then move on to the next once it’s resolved.
This case is so scary to me. I literally live 15 mins away from the town he was Police chief. So many badge heavy douchebags in Ohio. Im stunned it was so close but at the end of the day I shouldn’t be surprised.
I lived in Michigan in the 80s and was going for an employee exchange for training for a week in northern Ohio. Got pulled over three times in five days for BS reasons. I told my boss that I'd quit before I ever drove in Ohio again. The company reimbursed me for the cost of the BS traffic tickets because the boss in Ohio said that the department was corrupt. I have never crossed the Ohio state line from that time on, and I never will.
I've worked for a number of cities and towns. The residents would be shocked at what goes on behind the scenes. I got a glimpse when I moved up to management and like my former Director I resigned my position because I wasn't willing to sell my soul.

A couple of years ago this happened in New England. Law enforcement officers were clocking in over time they did not do. They showed up for work and then leave early. Now picture the crack down: A string of cars pulling up to your neighborhood before 7:00AM to lead officers out of their homes in their PJs in handcuffs.
Lots of companies switched away from "sick time," "vacation time" and "personal time" to simply having, "PTO," Personal Time Off. When I hit corporate America, the company had been using PTO all of about 2 years. I asked once upon a time. Basically, it was done so that people didn't have to lie anymore when they called in. Along with that change, came "occurrences." Meaning, it no longer mattered WHY you called in. Sick or a good day for golf.
I failed a clinical in nursing school over a discrepancy of 15 minutes. I had to re take the class. Meanwhile this guy is getting free 16 hours because a mayor two mayors ago maybe said so.

Once you cough up the 30% others will follow, and probably not be as generous, but to accommodate such a venture everyone will have to pay far more taxes. Not a "misfire." Especially in his case, the appropriate term is "negligent discharge of a firearm." And even only 4 minutes in, I'd say "criminally negligent."
Oh, I love playing "count the crimes" as the videos go on! Sometimes I actually pause them and write them down. Then I call my friend (a former police officer), describe the video, and HE counts.

A correction: please don't call it a "misfire". A misfire refers to a cartridge failing to fire after the trigger has been pulled, the exact opposite of the situation you're describing. The correct term is negligent/accidental discharge, depending on the circumstances. Considering he had his finger on the trigger, it is a case of ND.
This guy is an idiot how do u ND your gun hahaha bro u didn't even positively ID your target before putting your finger on the trigger. The Negligent discharge shows your competency as a officer. This whole vid has me wanting to check and make sure I’m keeping all my employees hours in order, and that’s not even in my job description nor do I have any employees or do payroll at all.
To the guy who is telling the story, alot of us have PTO that isn't specified as sick or vacation time. It's in one bucket and you aren't obligated to tell anyone why you are taking off. It's your time and you can do what you want with it. He doesn't have to actually prove he is sick, the hours are all coming from the same place.
This is an example of a guy who got away with a little, pushed it a bit, and kept pushing over many years and he didn't even realize how corrupt his dept had become....
