He’s the classic example of an American cop; hot head, quick to anger, threatens physical violence if he feels slighted, and above all doesn’t feel like he has to answer to anyone about anything. I don’t know this guy from a can of paint but I can tell he probably has a ton of use of force complaints and has probably bounced around from department to department for the same reason.
Listening to this cop tell his story reminds me of my brother who worked multiple law enforcement roles including police officer, corrections and state hospital. They all had one thing in common, the most predictable and healthy interactions where with the public and imprisoned you interacted with NOT the administrative leadership of the system. The most stressful part of the job was dealing with power tripping narcism that was drawn to the job. I’ll never forget it, he called me every day and still talks about it.
You are so correct! Petty narcissistic tendencies when there are bigger things that need to be taken care of- because they felt someone stepped outside of what they think is their place.
No, they're just playing diligence to demonstrate to the public their utmost respect for snitching and squealing... Federal Squealing Bureau ... uhu...
Lewis did get convicted of misappropriation of funds and removed from his position when the financial records came out and he was using money to basically blackmail a subordinate to attend conferences with him-that she picked up on quickly and tried to politely decline and not say anything until he kept repeating the behavior and demanding she attend overnight conferences with him or her position would be in jeopardy. I am from where he is, and currently am there, and it did seem like a bunch of who told who within department politics between officers until the financials came out, and because if his own cocky-ness and ego, got himself under a microscope that left his subordinate no other option but to testify and she had the receipts. People could go back and forth with what was hearsay amongst the officers, but when it expanded to irrefutable evidence-couldn’t just be pushed aside. It’s simple, don’t use department funds to finance your affair, he would have walked on anything else.
“The former sheriff was found guilty in 2019 on a charge of misconduct of a public officer stemming from an allegation of using public funds to pursue a relationship, outside of his marriage, with his 22-year-old assistant Savannah Nabors.” Yes, I looked it up.

Police and fire departments (regardless of size) are two of the gossipiest places anybody could ever work. Gossip, rumors, backbiting, backstabbing, neverending drama are the order of the day. Ain’t no soap opera has ever come close to portraying what actually goes on there.
@@hogrider12345 Lol, pretty much. Be nice, polite, friendly, observe who’s trustworthy, who’s not, don’t engage in gossip or office politics, tend to your work. Doesn’t mean you won’t ever get talked about, but if someone ever tries to throw mud your way, it won’t stick and there’ll be others who’ll defend you.
Read he ended up getting in trouble for using public funds to pursue a relationship with his 22-year-old assistant. He’s obviously a douche but was still trying to figure the point of this interrogation 35 minutes in.
It’s truly embarrassing, this is like a bunch of 15 yrs old gossiping high school girls. Where I’m from, no guys behave like this. And law enforcement on top. It’s absolutely incredible!
Honestly my gut tells me Lewis is probably right on most points - he’s consistent throughout, admits to minor things he did, gives clear strong denials on other things he’s challenged about. I wouldn’t say it’s all a conspiracy against him as there’s every chance that if he’s this emotional, he’s not the easiest guy to work with and probably acts out in ways that he doesn’t even realise, but re. the actual disciplinary issues, he seems honest enough.
If he did have an attitude, which I believe he might have, he had a damn good reason to have it. There is no way he could have been jerked around as bad as he was and it not affect him in some way. This was interfering with his home life and how he takes care of his family. Give this man a medal for holding himself together through all the allegations and lies. Smdh!!
@Reggiezombie Oh so you have nothing to refute my point... only can point at some manufactured bias you think I have. I would argue the same for you. Your inability to make a valid point here does not indicate all past arguments have also been without valid points. Past behavior is not dictated by future behavior. Past behavior can be indicators of what future behavior can be, and current behavior can lead people to question past behavior. However claiming that he was found guilty of something later means he was wrong then too is saying people who have committed crimes have always been crooked or bad. People can change, for better or worse, and you don't throw away his entire life because he got arrested later in life. If you think I have to have some kind of personal feelings towards someone in order to hold that view for everyone, then fine... but I guess I'm drooling over you too then.

Anyone would be frustrated with all of the broken promises when it deals with something as serious as being there for their child. These jobs don’t give a single __ck about you. They also don’t owe you any special privileges or arrangements for your personal issues.
This is why, when they say, not all cops are bad, I say, good men aren't cops. It's the entire organization of police, and the courts that are rotten. And now you see how hard a decent honest man has it working for that organization. Made me almost start to feel compassion for a cop which is something I NEVER do.
I don’t know about who’s side I’m in but I will say that he answered every question very forth coming and seemed very honest to me so much respect to him
Fascinating look inside a department! Thanks! Bit harsh title, calling him a "douche," (though he very well might be) when you actually go on to plead for us to remain neutral. It could also be that his complaints are valid and the dept was aligned against him.
He definitely deserves that title. Have several buddies that worked under him, an the stuff that you don’t hear about in this video that has earned him the title.
Having no idea about either side i can see both sides. He wants the schedule he wants yet it's not up to him and he'll have to like what they give him. Typical workplace crap in any job.

I’ve heard of ghost kitchens, but is this a ghost channel for anti-police Audit the Auditor nonsense? Not really seeing the “douche” factor here. Here’s been my takeaway. 1. Person was upset they didn’t get a job and thought he was possibly to blame. No proof, maybe next time pick your references better. 2. He wanted a shift to be better suited for his family priorities and after delays became agitated and his morale and behavior suffered and it caused disruptions. No shit, that’s what happens when you disregard a persons need to be a human over their job. I’m not condoning all of his behavior, but I get becoming angry and ceasing to be professional when you’re not being treated that way. 3. Female officer didn’t like his interaction with her. Okay, granted, that was done without her consent so that holds water. File a complaint, address the issue and move on. Come on, this is guy at worst is a below average officer but a “villain”? Let’s talk about murderers and people doing actual villainous stuff.
agree completely. scotty was just collateral damage, this was the guy they were trying to get rid of. that's why he's the one who received all the complaints. as to why they would want him gone, who knows. he may be crooked, or they may all be crooked and he's not. whatever the case, i would suggest ideological differences is the underlying factor.
I would venture to bet that his whole transfer was being held up on account of this trashing investigation already being underway. Remember you don't have friends at work especially as law enforcement because they all want to get promoted and if you're out of the way its more of a chance for them and if you get removed those who still work there have to protect and distance themselves from you and your issues!
Rightfully angry? How so? Guy literally sounds like every douchbag cop ever. One complaint is one thing but multiple in row is a pattern and that usually tells you something.
Mr Lewis there (no longer a cop) raped his assistant and was put in jail. Not rightfully angry at all he's a POS who hates women. He even testified about another woman "running her f.cking d!ck skinner" i.e., running her mouth. He's a filthy dirtbag and I hope someone gets him before he hurts other women.
The spitting into a bottle while chewing snuff is disgusting. It is an intentional insult to those conducting the investigation. Notice how casually he slobbers into the bottle.

I was half listening to this and thinking "when's the lying going to start?" He seems believable and warm. The comments about his kids and wife seemed very wholesome and sincere.
He was convicted of using his position of power to have sex with a 22 year old person he hired at double the starting pay. He lied about it until she released recordings she had made. Morality about extra marital affairs aside, the guy did all this "on the clock" and was trying to set up other conferences for her to go with him to to repeat the tryst. She wasn't a particularly willing participant and felt coerced.
@@muteuser Recordings of...? Proof of an affair doesn't prove anything else. Her feelings don't matter. Even if she didn’t have a bad word to say about him it’s still pretty damn unethical.
I honestly dont see what everyone in the comments are so upset about. This is everyday gripes about scheduling, which is a valid complaint. Everyone crying about his chew and bottle, they probably told him to relax, and they all probably know each other. Dipping isn't unprofessional, or disrespectful. He could be hawking and spitting into a trash can, its not that serious
Exactly everyone crying about tobacco spit is ridiculous. In the Army almost everyone dips from general to private on duty off duty in the TOC in the barracks in the vehicles hell even in the aid station.
I don’t think you should be able to dip during questioning. It relaxes you if it’s your habit. They wouldn’t let someone light up a cigarette or pour a little scotch.

As a retired officer I have seen thing such as this many times.I have never seen a transfer take this long not with his reasons for the transfer. When you work law enforcement your family will always suffer for it is the nature of the job. I can remember meeting with my wife at 630 am switching the kids from car to car one of us was headed home and the other off to work. We both were officers at the time. Okay, it's gross. And? What else are you assuming based on it. He's clearly doing it and it's not even being referenced by him or IA. That indicates to me that it's not against policy. @Burger Pants I'm not convinced by your statement. Surely anyone overseas would have issues obtaining rights to interrogation footage. A quick google search and you may find he’s a pretty bad seed on his own. This isn’t all he’s been in trouble for…
He’s the classic example of an American cop; hot head, quick to anger, threatens physical violence if he feels slighted, and above all doesn’t feel like he has to answer to anyone about anything.
Holy shit their department must be bored. This isn't internal affairs worthy. I hope they start doing some policing soon.
I agree. Why do we care? Did he lose his job? I would have thought a simple coaching session could have brought him around as far as his attitude.
😂😂😂😂

@Reggiezombie Oh so you have nothing to refute my point... only can point at some manufactured bias you think I have. I would argue the same for you. Your inability to make a valid point here does not indicate all past arguments have also been without valid points. Past behavior is not dictated by future behavior. Past behavior can be indicators of what future behavior can be, and current behavior can lead people to question past behavior. However claiming that he was found guilty of something later means he was wrong then too is saying people who have committed crimes have always been crooked or bad.
He's clearly too aggressive and disrespectful
I would venture to bet that his whole transfer was being held up on account of this trashing investigation already being underway. Remember you don't have friends at work especially as law enforcement because they all want to get promoted and if you're out of the way its more of a chance for them and if you get removed those who still work there have to protect and distance themselves from you and your issues!
When a “douche” sheriff gets interrogated…I simply saw a frustrated and rightfully angry one.
Rightfully angry? How so? Guy literally sounds like every douchbag cop ever. One complaint is one thing but multiple in row is a pattern and that usually tells you something.
