- Godfrey, First Elden Lord is one of the hardest bosses in Elden Ring and after dying countless times I developed a cheese strategy to easily kill him without having to fully engage him and lead him to his death. The video explains how to cheese him.

Useful strategy, but stuff like this isn’t really “cheesing” the boss. You’re just using weapons your character naturally has access to and keeping a strategic distance.
Are we gona talk about how he's level 200+
I was able to make him stand completely still by using the soldiers of raya lucaria. if you get him near the door and surround him he'll stand still and won't attack. I got him down to about 20% health before he did anything at all
i’d recommend using the great shield summon and blood slash while they fight then do his strat

My rotten breath didnt do nearly as much damage as yours, but I employed this tactic with lightning bolt instead and beat him easily as he is weak to electricity. The only thing to add is when he gets close and you need to get to the other side of the room, walk - do not run past him. When you walk, he tries to stomp on you and that is easier to dodge than when you run he twirls his axe or does another move, which is harder to avoid.
You saved my depression :D. Going to one end to the other, is just too easy. Long range incantations and I got the guys on 3rd try with no ash summons :D Thanks!
I’d try Barrage. Not sure which arrows, (I’d have to look at his resistances/mitigations) but seems like you could pummel him and jet.
You can force him to aggro you while you have a summon like the dung eater doing damage, then one he aggros the summon you hit him with two charged attacks with a heavy weapon that does a lot of damage. That'll generally stagger him and you can crit him which will get him down to a quarter health or half health in about a minute or so.
Just did this back and forth strategy but used the Night Maiden Mist. It worked first time. He would slow walk through the clouds of poison taking big damage. Thanks for the tip.

I should’ve done that. What I tried instead was circling around him trying to make sure he wasnt cutting me off(which most of the time he didnt), then I would just wait until he does his long range reaching axe smash, block it with my shield, run at him to his left side, hit him once, then move my control stick
I just defeated relatively easily him using mimic spell and spamming him (alert and from a "safe" distance) with the rock sling
