The concert is from March 2021 under absolute Covid restrictions in Japan and around the world. How quickly people forget everything. There was no concert at all in Germany in 2020 and 2021. Germany has let its artists down. Japan had tough rules of conduct but the artists were able to survive. Great respect for Japan.
That's not quite right. Bridear played in Berlin in September 2021, followed by Necronomidol in October playing in Berlin and Cologne. You can find this Cologne show on my channel...
@@Mipopico Du hast recht, das stimmt. Das hatte ich schon vergessen. Bridear hat das Wunder im Herbst 2021 geschafft. Um so mehr Respekt muß man vor den Bridear Frauen haben.
in fact even in Japan for a period, no concerts were allowed in japan. in this period as i know, Lovebites streamed a full live in studio. you can see it. it is called "Life from Abyss".
this was right in the middle of Covid, and Japan had very strict rules it was at 50% capacity, a space between every seat, no screaming, or singing, only clapping allowed.
Best metal band in the world imho. This was a Covid restricted show. They weren't allowed to do anything. Maybe you just need to see some more. I'd suggest Thunder Vengeance (show opener) or Break the Wall, live from 2020, or Judgement Day or Hammer of Wrath live from March of this year. I've yet to see a mosh pit at one of their Japanese shows, but both of these didn't have as heavy restrictions as this show did.
you chose one of their heaviest and best songs as an introduction to the band but UNFORTUNATELY the only live show they did with the covid restrictions on the crowd in place. in every other live concert video you see they get the raucous reception they deserve. the talent level of LOVEBITES is stunning
LOVEBITES - Set The World On Fire lyrics: The blue moon colors the blaze Stabbing myself with the thunder The predetermined imitation An emotionless and a fearless smile Flowing blood and crimson blade Devastated resolution Heat haze is waving far away Who’s going to be sacrificed? ON FIRE Just like a falling flower ON FIRE Until this body rots away Burning down to the Gates of Hell Distorted madness is sneering Incompetent, cowardly fools A pitiful and painful punishment It’s you who will be sacrificed ON FIRE Dressed in an armor of steel ON FIRE If I’m burned again and again I’ll rise up from the Gates of Hell SOLO: midori / miyako / both The blue moon colors blaze Stabbing myself with the thunder The predetermined imitation An emotionless and fearless smile SOLO: miyako Flowing blood and crimson blade Devastated resolution Heat haze is waving far away Who’s going to be sacrificed? ON FIRE Just like a falling flower ON FIRE Until this body rots away Burning down to the Gates of Hell ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: LOVEBITES [miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami] album: Electric Pentagram 01/29/2020
During Covid and lyrics are all english. Kirk Hammett uses the Wah pedal. Assume u know who he is. I'm a huge metal head from the States. This is Testament with epic solos, right up my ally. My favorite band of all time. Recommend Hammer of Wrath live 2023 next. 🤘
Firstly, it has nothing to do with an "eastern audience". This show took place in the middle of the pandemic (2021). Draconian measures and restrictions were imposed on the concert in order for it to even take place (it was nearly cancelled). The venue was only half full because of social distancing (gap between each seat), huge gap between the stage and the audience where crowd engagement was minimal, no shouting was allowed, no screaming was allowed, everyone had to be fully masked, and ONLY clapping was allowed. So, before stereotyping about what "eastern audiences" entail, you may want to ascertain the facts before commenting ? Secondly, since you're wearing a Guns N' Roses shirt, I presume your taste in music is more towards rock as opposed to metal ? Lovebites play a seamless and innovative blend of multiple metal/rock genres & sub-genres which makes their music unique. BTW, this is J-Metal and not J-Rock. If you prefer rock, then I recommend "Liar" LIVE : ruclips.net/video/YWHPfnJz2qk/видео.html , and "Empty Daydream" LIVE : ruclips.net/video/lXh_uMM94jU/видео.html . These songs are more "rockish" with heavy rock layering in the tracks.
I'd never refer to Lovebites music as J-Metal. If J-Metal is meant to describe a specific Metal subgenre in the sense that it features specific musical elements which are only or predominantly to be heard in metal bands from Japan, Lovebites don't belong into that genre, because they play different types of "old school" Metal, which way back in the eighties were played mostly by British, American and German bands, thus there is nothing specifically Japanese about the music they play. If J-Metal is meant to simply refer to their country of origin, it's an entirely pointless term, because it doesn't say anything about the music they play. That would be like e.g. refering to all American metal bands as A-Metal, British metal bands as UK-Metal and German metal bands as G-Metal.
@@MissLoonasSpeech That's fair enough. For me, when I use "J-Metal", I usually refer to the metal bands coming out of Japan, regardless of genre/sub-genre, but I see your point.
Must say I'm surprised you didn't connect the dots about 2021. In Japan they're very strict about pandemics, so that they even managed to arrange the concert was much about luck. I believe there was just a few weeks they had loosened on it, before they had to shut it all down again because of rising numbers. Japan are just as crazy about music as everywhere else. Maybe less broken jaws and knocked out teeth?
It's all in English! Lovebites music is based on New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, and also Power Metal and American Thrash Metal! They also have a big influence of classical music. This concert was under covid restrictions! Watch another song without restrictions, like recent stuff or their performance in Wacken Germany or their tour in the UK with DragonForce!
You have joined the club of a select few reactors who could not connect the quiet crowd with a little thing happening in 2021 called the pandemic. Congratulations! I know that I am piling on, but you pretty much deserve it. I will give some info regarding this show and the song. Set The World On Fire was composed by Miyako, the dark haired guitarist on stage left, and the all English lyrics were written by Asami, the vocalist, who speaks conversational English very well. Miyako plays a variety of guitars on stage but primarily Dean (she is paying a Dean in the video). Dean has 13 signature artists and Miyako is the only one from Japan and the only female in the group. Unfortunately, she was not playing her signature Dean in the video but if you keep reacting to Lovebites, you will see it. During this concert, Miyako was halfway through her pregnancy. Midori, the other lead guitarist, is playing an ESP guitar and she is very loyal to the ESP brand. She attended a music school owned by the founder of ESP. She has also built her own ESP guitars at the ESP shop. Miho, the bassist, also plays ESP. Miho started the band after her previous band called Destrose ended. Miho first recruited the drummer Haruna would had also been in Destrose for a number of years. A few months after this concert, Miho left the band and Lovebites went on hiatus while finding a new bassist and also because Miyako and Asami were new mothers. They found their new bassist, Fami last year. Fami had a RUclips channel were she played covers on bass, and won the audition process over hundreds of bassists, from all over the world, who submitted audition tapes. Lovebites return to the stage was on March 11 of this year and the show was recorded for a Blu-ray release (as was the show the next night). The March 11 show was also Fami's first time in front of a large audience. BTW, the audience for both shows were fantastic. A great video is for the song Hammer of Wrath performed at the March 11 show. It is the song that opened the show - ruclips.net/video/pHrWRT0Jeac/видео.html
This was during the COVID pandemic, and venues were under very strict rules. Crowds weren't allowed to move about, stand up, and so on. I attended a few concerts in the US during the height of COVID, and it was the same here.
I think you need to get a little cultural awareness - Japan isn’t the UK or the USA. But notwithstanding not sure you really get it. It you didn’t see echoes of Slayer and Testament in this track, not sure your metal card is stamped right. Lovebites - best metal band on the planet right now. 🤘
Anything between 2020 and 2022 had to work around Covid, as several comentators have noted. All LOVEBITES lyrics are in English as Dante94 pointed out. As you get into your reactions try not to cut off the music right before the climactic line at the end of a verse. Please don't pause in the middle of instrumental solos and duets. RUclips wants you to pause, we all know that, but consider running the song back ten seconds following a pause to retain a sense of continuity. I like reaction channels because it's a bit like taking your favourite new record around to a mates house to listen to it together, but you could consider collecting your thoughts before offering them to your listeners. Some of my favourite reactors even make notes as the song goes along, so that they can comment on underlying themes. Others look up the lyrics and read them through so that they can comment on them as well as commenting on the musical content. I agree with skoob-kq7ms regarding your observation of the colour of their instruments. I gather that you're just starting out, so I hope you'll see my brief critique as encouragement. LOVEBITES fans are likely to listen to your reaction, but like me they are more likely fans of LOVEBITES than fans of El J. I've already got my ticket to see LOVEBITES play next September 2024 in Atlanta Georgia. Some LOVEBITES fans take this band very seriously. Best regads to the Wolfpack.
I'm presuming you've just recently started reaction videos? A bit of friendly advice, read the comments and take advantage of the criticism from them to maybe improve your method, that way your subs might grow.🐺🇬🇧
Congratulations on discovering arguably the most musically talented metal band on the planet. If you don't mind (or even if you do 😀), here are some suggestions for your consideration that may improve your viewers' experience ... and consequently your viewership number. 1.) Rule #1 of RUclips music reactions: Never stop mid-guitar solo. As in never. No really, this is a thing. 2.) Your camera is out of focus, which is quite distracting. But it was perfect during the "Final Thoughts" chapter. 3.) In a 23 minute reaction video of a 6 minute song, it was very surprising (to me at least) that you really didn't comment on the song or the band itself, certainly not in any depth. I would have expected some mention of the musicianship on display, as LOVEBITES are elite musicians. The two guitarists (Miyako and Midori) are possibly the best hard rock / metal guitar duo around today. The drummer is a machine, with some of the best cymbal work and fills of any metal drummer. The bassist finger plucks at a speed not too many other bassists could match. 4.) By all means mention peripheral issues, but focussing extensively and repeatedly on something like how much the crowd moved (or didn't) was unnecessary. Anyway, treat these as suggestions to accept or ignore as you see fit. If you keep reacting to LOVEBITES, then I will be back to watch your content.
Congratulations, you just found the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they waited out the pandemic and searched for a new bassist. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song on December 22. Their new album, “Judgement Day”, was released two months later. They did their first live performances in more than two years in summer of 2023, with their new bassist Fami. Their very first show was commemorated on the DVD “Knocking on Heaven’s Gate”. They have posted four performances from that DVD-“”Hammer of Wrath”, “Judgement Day”, “Nameless Warrior” and “Liar”. All of them are barn-burners. They have also posted “Stand and Deliver” from the second concert. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing. In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They went on hiatus while they searched for a new bassist, and during that time, two of them had babies, even as the band were writing and rehearsing their new album. They recently announced the new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. Their first song with Fami is “Judgement Day” ruclips.net/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/видео.html The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out: “Set the World on Fire” ruclips.net/video/99zsH6iG_6c/видео.html from their 2021 concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”. “Don’t Bite the Dust” ruclips.net/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/видео.html, from the same concert; "Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ruclips.net/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/видео.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope. Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ruclips.net/video/lXh_uMM94jU/видео.html; Perhaps their greatest masterpiece, a showcase of multi-instrumental virtuosity and even classical dance “A Frozen Serenade” ruclips.net/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/видео.html; And their most reacted-to video, “Holy War”: ruclips.net/video/bgAxpEpEcno/видео.html Miyako is also a virtuoso concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. She is self-taught on the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude” (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: ruclips.net/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/видео.html. For a thrasher with heavy Slayer and Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” ruclips.net/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/видео.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M. For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ruclips.net/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/видео.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both) While you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular: "Shadowmaker" ruclips.net/video/Brmoln5Gxus/видео.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world "When Destinies Align" ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html "Glory to the World" ruclips.net/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/видео.html "Winds of Transylvania" ruclips.net/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/видео.html. Finally, the audio tracks of some of the new album are up on youtube, and worth checking out. The band clearly came out swinging and wanted to make a statement. Every song on the album is a showcase of their incredible talent and songwriting capabilities. “Stand and Deliver” is a thrasher with a fun video of them in the studio. “Soldier Stands Solitarily”, the final song on the album, is being touted by some as the best thing they’ve done so far-I encourage you to see and decide for yourself! You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
It's all in English - Asami's accent just takes a bit go getting used to . I'd suggest using the subs for the first few reactions . The crowd were under strict Covid restrictions when this was filmed - they normally go mental
If you want to see energy with both the crowd and Band, the new releases from Knockin at Heaven's Gate and the 2020 show Five of a Kind are great shows.
The J-ROCK symbol at the end of the live video means that this concert was held in accordance with COVID rules. Incidentally, mosh bits are prohibited in Japan as a dangerous practice, and video recording with smartphones or other devices during the concert is also prohibited without special permission.
The label J-Rock does not fit for them. LOVEBITES are a metal band that plays more European and US influenced styles. They already played at Wacken in 2018, only 1 year after having released their first album. And they will perform on mainstage of Hellfest (France) and Rock Imperium Festival (Spain) this year. Probably more dates will be announced…
Lovebites if J Metal not rock and their long solos are inspired by Ritchie Blackmore. The costumes are white so that they can stand out. The look comes from Visual Kei. Visual Kei was a style concept invented by X Japan who were in turn inspired by KISS. Miho the bassist formed the group after her previous band Destrose disbanded She brought in former Destrose Drummer Haruna to form the band. They Auditioned singers and Asami, who had no knowledge of Metal but was an appropriate R&B singer that came to the US for a career but without success. She went back to Japan and Auditioned singing Lovebites by Halestorm. The rest of the band loved it and named the band after the song. Lizzy Hale was so happy about that she brought them in to tour with her. Other Visual Kei bands you should check out are Versailles song Revenant Chior live. And Aldious- Dominator live Radiant A O East. Aldious was the first successful All Female Metal band founded in 2008, and they broke through which enabled all the other Female band to go through. Most modern female rock and metal bands followed in their style of mixing many metals genres, Visual Kei and hard rock.

You stop the sound in the middle of a chorus or in the middle of a solo part and talk about what you want to talk about. Apparently, you are more interested in talking to the audience about the thoughts that come into your head than listening carefully to the music. If what you have to say is of a quality that would convince me, but I don't think it is. If you want to put yourself before the music, I suggest you brush your mind and your head a bit more.
Strictly speaking, Metal is one of the Rock genres. 🤗 Officially: “Rock music is a general name for a number of areas of popular music. Rock music has the largest number of directions (about 180). From fairly “easy” ones, such as dance rock and roll, pop rock, merseybeat, to aggressive - heavy metal, thrash metal, black metal and brutal death metal, glam metal, grindcore." Ect. That is why METALLICA and JUDAS PRIEST (and previously BLACK SABBATH ) were officially inducted into the 'Rock and Roll Hall of Fame'. And they consider it an honor to be there. BAND-MAID strictly speaking play pop rock (sometimes with some elements of hard rock). LOVEBITES plays metal (sometimes hard rock). Please note what was written at the end of the video: LOVEBITES - RIDE FOR VENGEANCE TOUR - MARCH 26, 2021 - TOKYO DOME CITY HALL - JAPAN rock Nothing personal.
@@GrayFox14 That somebody has written at the end of the video is not significant. Asami in all live show said: "We are Lovebites and we play HEAVY METAL" and the 90% of their songs (60 and more) are Heavy Metal, Power Metal, Thrash Metal , Progr. Metal, Symphonic Metal or Metal ballad and only two o three Hard Rock. Then i Know that the Metal is a branch of Rock and Roll, but the Lovebites are pure metal. Nothing personal!
@@13uomini Has the meaning .😊The words 'Japan Rock' were written by the LOVEBITES team who produced this video. With the knowledge and consent of the ladies from LOVEBITES themselves. I think that they know better than you and me what and how to write. 🤗 There is nothing wrong if someone said that IRON MAIDEN (who, perhaps in the coming years, will also be inducted into the famous 'Rock and Roll Hall of Fame'), METALLICA or JUDAS PRIEST are rock bands. This is not an insult. Moreover, bands are very happy when they are solemnly inducted into the 'Rock and Roll Hall of Fame'. And they are very upset if they are not accepted into this 'Hall'. In a broader sense: all the bands that we call 'metal bands' are 'rock bands that play metal'. It’s just that many people are accustomed to a short version of the designation of a band (based on the music it performs) - 'metal band'. Both options are acceptable. We can say that LOVEBITES is a 'rock band whose main musical direction is metal'. And there is nothing offensive or humiliating for ladies in this. Moreover, LOVEBITES plays not only metal (but also a little hard rock and classical music). BLACK SABBATH, MOTÖRHEAD, SAXON, JUDAS PRIEST, TWISTED SISTER, WASP, IRON MAIDEN, Bruce Dickinson, METALLICA and other bands (playing metal) enjoyed participating (many times) in the British program 'Top of the Pops'. Along with, for example, Whitney Houston, Elton John, Mariah Carey, etc. Please note, not 'Top of the Metal'. They performed on a pop show. I’ll try to explain what I meant when I wrote that there’s nothing wrong with calling LOVEBITES or METALLICA a rock band. All world music (officially) is divided into 4 main areas: sacred music, folk music, academic music and popular music. Each direction, in turn, is divided into a number of musical genres. Every genre has many subgenres. I didn't come up with this. This is the official, generally accepted classification of music. As I wrote earlier, 'Rock' is a general name for a number of areas of 'popular music' (about 180), which includes metal. 'Hellfest Summer Open Air' (in 2017 Midori said that she dreamed of performing at this particular festival) is officially called - "...a rock festival focusing on heavy metal music".😊 Ect.
@@GrayFox14 Don't confuse the commercial side from the artistic side: the name JRock is a exemplification for the people because the metal is a brand of the great family of the rock and born like the definition of "metal" many years after, to identify a particular way to play and sing the Rock music and the Lovebites are, without doubts METAL and the prove is in the their typical songs: they take a cue from the old metal bands like Iron Made, Judas Priest and others and not from Dire Straits, for example. Then the Hallfest Summer open Air has different stages but in common all the artists are metal, the name of this Festival isn't important!
@@13uomini What is written is what is written. I'm not confusing anything. One could write: 'JAPAN metal' 😊 Not all bands that perform at 'Hellfest Open Air' are metal.🤗 Punk rock bands, such as THE OFFSPRING or UK SUBS, also perform at 'Hellfest'. And hard rock bands. For example, AEROSMITH or ZZ TOP. Or STATUS QUO , who were never metalheads, performed on the 'Mainstage 01'. Or RIVAL SONS or RAVENEYE who play blues rock (!), also performed at 'Hellfest'. Etc. etc. But this is not the main thing. The main thing is that metal is one of the genres of rock music. Officially. I myself say everywhere and often write in the comments that LOVEBITES is a heavy metal band (not power metal, as many claim, which understates the merits of the band), combining and mixing different styles of metal. But if someone calls LOVEBITES a rock band, then I perceive it normally.I just make sure to add that LOVEBITES plays metal. Because I consider both options ( #1 - heavy metal band or #2 - rock band playing heavy metal) acceptable. Although I usually use option #1 (heavy metal band). Nothing personal.
I won't repeat what others are saying in the video about Covid, about stopping during a solo, and about having your camera in focus. I do want to say one thing however. Towards the beginning, you were wondering whether a Japanese band should use a military march considering Japan's past. Are you serious??? Yes, Imperial Japan did some horrible things in the 1930s and 40s. That was 90 years ago! Should bands from the US and the UK also restrict what they put in their music because of bad things those countries have done in the past? That comment was way out of line, and just so you know, I won't be coming back to your channel!
Well, in his defense, he did stop himself when he realized he was getting into something he shouldn't have. Sometimes people's words come out without thinking. He should have edited that part out though. I think he is beginner at this. I hope he learns from his mistake.
You're right@@ChadTheDragonLord,which was why I encouraged him to take a moment to gather his thoughts. I may revisit his channel if he comments on LOVEBITES again, even if only to see if he's taken the comments to heart.
Some Japanese bands, old and new. I'll never take away from an awesome band, but I do always feel a bit of a weird sting when the wolfpack comes out telling anyone and everyone that Lovebites is the greatest thing since sliced bread. They're great, they're awesome and they're also the tip of an iceberg. They're not the be-all end-all, depending on your taste there's everything from the heavy that is Deviloof and Jiluka, to the cornucopia of Nemophila, to the progressive awesomeness of Sokoninaru or Tricot, to the technical perfection of Unlucky Morpheus and the sheer insanity of DenKare. And that's without mentioning everything from the 'A' of Asterism to 'Z' of Zutomayo and everything inbetween. I know I'm ranting, and I'm a hardcore fan of a single Japanese Gothic Metal Band, but everyone really should be able to acknowledge that there's more to music than one band, however good they may be :P
About the dresses, when they were touring Europe opening for Dragonforce, a French metal mag interviewed the singer, Asami about that. Her response was, "We're girls we don't want to dress like boys. Also, we are all small and the white and gold makes it easier to see us on stage." and they Are small. Haruna (drums) is 146 cm, Asami (singer) is 147 cm", Midori (Blond guitarist) is 150 cm, Miyako (Dark haired guitarist) is 159.5 cm and Miho (bass) is around 155 cm. Their new bassist, Fami is 160 cm. Ok, you've seen Band Maid and now Lovebites, btw keep reacting to them, some other Japanese bands to check out: Nemophila - Dissension Babymetal - Give Me Chocolate Hanabie - We Love Sweets MAXIMUM THE HORMONE - Yoshu Fukushu Galneryus - Angel Of Salvation Yousei Teikoku - Astral Dogma Bridear - Ghoul Wagakki Band - Senbonzakura (1,000 cherry blossoms) They use traditional Japanese instruments as well as western instruments. DOLL$BOXX - Take My Chance Unlucky Morpheus - CADAVER/REVADAC They play the song CADAVER then play it backwards note for note, REVADAC. BTW, they have a heavy metal violinist how does Van Halen covers. Also, did you know India has metal bands? Look up Bloodywood and their song, Aaj And don't worry, they sing in Hindi and English.
Lovebites' audience is usually MUCH more lively. As already have been said, the "dead" audience is due to Covid restrictions. You should look at some other Lovebites songs where there is audience participation. A standard listening is "Holy War" from 2020 (just before Covid). But, they are right now very active and touring and there are fantastic videos from 2023. Recommend "The Hammer of Wrath". But other stuff is actually just as good.
She sings all in English. Use captions when available on YT or google it to follow along. Its due to japanese accent but its all im english. As for all their songs...
Subscribed. LOVEBITES is awesome! I would call them J-Metal. I like your channel. May I suggest a reaction to BABYMETAL. Their music has a positive and uplifting message. They have a fun and awesome performance: BABYMETAL - PA PA YA!! (feat. F.HERO) (OFFICIAL) Or: MAYA【Live Blu-ray/DVD「BABYMETAL BEGINS - THE OTHER ONE -」"BLACK NIGHT"】 🖖 ❤
Too many pauses right in the midst of a phrase. And do please stop trying to compare Lovebites to other musicians. They are unique, and in the opinion of many, fans and not so fans that I know, THE BEST live band on the planet at this time.
I dont know if you are searching for the croud or the music ? ..your reaction it's not really interesting, sorry i'm a little in disaccord with your reaction, explain clearly becouse it's quiet confusional.
The concert was during covid so they had to be apart and I guess be seated. And they sing all the songs in English only. They'll talk to the crowd in Japanese. I have every one of their CDs they're all in English. She had an accident in all the early CDs and concerts. Check out stuff from Knocking on heaven's gate tour and the album judgment Day she definitely now that they're getting popular has worked on her accent sounds great
Sorry, but your reaction was very unfortunate. 🥱This is my impression of your reaction. 🤗You spent so much time talking “about the behavior of the audience”, you talked a lot about some minor things, not directly related to the band and the song ... You devoted very little time to this song and this band. Although the total duration of your reaction is more than 25 minutes !!! This is 2-3 times higher than the average reactions time of other Reactors. If you were primarily interested in the audience, then OK. I will try to explain to you why the audience behaved this way. To do this, I need to tell you a little about the conditions under which this concert took place. You read that this concert took place in Tokyo on March 26, 2021. I saw how you read this text. 😉 Have you heard anything about the Covid-19 pandemic? Do you know what happened in the world in 2020, 2021 and at the beginning of 2022 ? 🤔 In 2021, the Second Wave of the Covid-19 pandemic began in Japan. The Japanese government declared a State of Emergency. All concerts of the National LOVEBITES Tour, tickets for which were sold back in 2020, have been cancelled. Then the concerts were postponed many times due to the difficult epidemiological situation on different dates. In March - April 2021, LOVEBITES was able to hold 4 concerts in different cities ( 'Ride For Vengeance Tour'). But with very strict restrictions : - Tickets were sold several times less than the concert halls can accommodate spectators (social distance). - All spectators must remain in their seats (walking is prohibited). - Hand disinfection, body temperature check upon entering the hall. - All spectators are wearing masks. - Spectators are prohibited from shouting or expressing their emotions loudly (only applause is allowed). Etc. Etc. The Japanese are very law-abiding people. They strictly complied with the requirements of the authorities. They were happy to go to the concert of their favorite band, even with such strict restrictions. That's why they just applauded.👏😷 A little about the professionalism of these ladies and the quality of the music of this band. I could write a lot about the achievements of these ladies. But it will be a very, very big comment. I will limit myself to only two facts: - LOVEBITES received the 'Golden Gods' from 'Metal Hammer' in 2018 (London, UK). If you are a Metalhead (that's what you say) then you know what the 'Golden Gods' are.😊 - In June 2024, LOVEBITES will perform at 'Hellfest Open Air 2024' (France). Four days, six stages for bands to perform, more than 180 bands have already confirmed their participation (more than 200 bands are planned). LOVEBITES will be performing on the Main Stage with METALLICA, MEGADETH, MACHINE HEAD, AVENGED SEVENFOLD. * Do I understand correctly that you are a fan of IRON MAIDEN? If yes, then perhaps you will be interested to know. LOVEBITES bassist Miho knows Steve Harris. There are photos of them together on the Internet at various musical events. * Nothing personal. But if you don’t like a band, it’s better not to check it. It is obvious that you are bored and uninterested.🤫
as he described himself..... this was a lot of babbling without actually saying anything about the techniques, quality of the musicianship of the band. And then he gives a score without explaining anything about how he derived that score. All that time spent talking about the audience, but nothing about the individuals of the band? If you're planning to do more reactions to music, please talk about the music.
You can find this Cologne show on my channel...
in fact even in Japan for a period, no concerts were allowed in japan. in this period as i know, Lovebites streamed a full live in studio. you can see it. it is called "Life from Abyss".
this was right in the middle of Covid, and Japan had very strict rules it was at 50% capacity, a space between every seat, no screaming, or singing, only clapping allowed.
Lovebites songs are all in English. It just takes a while to understand her singing style, like all metal bands.
LOVEBITES - Set The World On Fire lyrics:
The blue moon colors the blaze
Stabbing myself with the thunder
The predetermined imitation
An emotionless and a fearless smile
Flowing blood and crimson blade
Devastated resolution
Heat haze is waving far away
Who’s going to be sacrificed?
ON FIRE
Just like a falling flower
ON FIRE
Until this body rots away
Burning down to the Gates of Hell
Distorted madness is sneering
Incompetent, cowardly fools
A pitiful and painful punishment
It’s you who will be sacrificed
ON FIRE
Dressed in an armor of steel
ON FIRE
If I’m burned again and again
I’ll rise up from the Gates of Hell
SOLO: midori / miyako / both
The blue moon colors blaze
Stabbing myself with the thunder
The predetermined imitation
An emotionless and fearless smile
SOLO: miyako
Flowing blood and crimson blade
Devastated resolution
Heat haze is waving far away
Who’s going to be sacrificed?
ON FIRE
Just like a falling flower
ON FIRE
Until this body rots away
Burning down to the Gates of Hell

During Covid and lyrics are all english. Kirk Hammett uses the Wah pedal. Assume u know who he is. I'm a huge metal head from the States. This is Testament with epic solos, right up my ally. My favorite band of all time. Recommend Hammer of Wrath live 2023 next. 🤘
It was during COVID and the audience had to be seated, no mosh pits allowed and so on…
Firstly, it has nothing to do with an "eastern audience".
If you dig old school Metal in nearly every sub genre you will certainly appreciate the Awe that is Lovebites. Welcome Aboard.
I don’t think he does. Missed all the references here.
The crowd is like that because this was during covid and protocol said they can't move about much. Your killing me pausing during the solos!!!!!LOL.
Wolfpack here visiting your channel.
Amen, that's only a Wolf pack's member can write. 🖤
This was during the COVID pandemic, and venues were under very strict rules. Crowds weren't allowed to move about, stand up, and so on. I attended a few concerts in the US during the height of COVID, and it was the same here.
Each time cutting into the solos, damn.
I want more of a reaction to the band and the song, not the audience.
About the crowd... covid restrictions. They are not allowed to shout or cheer or move.
I think you need to get a little cultural awareness - Japan isn’t the UK or the USA. But notwithstanding not sure you really get it. It you didn’t see echoes of Slayer and Testament in this track, not sure your metal card is stamped right. Lovebites - best metal band on the planet right now. 🤘
Err Asami sings in English ... but maybe its because I'm from the Midlands I've never had a problem. Err, Date, Covid
For Lovebites its always important to read the Lyrics and they always sing in English
This concert occured during the COVID-19 Pandemic.....
Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981).
Their first song with Fami is “Judgement Day” ruclips.net/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/видео.html
The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc.
As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."
Here are more clips you should check out:
“Set the World on Fire” ruclips.net/video/99zsH6iG_6c/видео.html from their 2021 concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”.
“Don’t Bite the Dust” ruclips.net/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/видео.html, from the same concert;
"Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ruclips.net/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/видео.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope.
Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ruclips.net/video/lXh_uMM94jU/видео.html;
Perhaps their greatest masterpiece, a showcase of multi-instrumental virtuosity and even classical dance “A Frozen Serenade” ruclips.net/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/видео.html;
And their most reacted-to video, “Holy War”: ruclips.net/video/bgAxpEpEcno/видео.html
Miyako is also a virtuoso concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ruclips.net/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/видео.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
While you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular:
"Shadowmaker" ruclips.net/video/Brmoln5Gxus/видео.html
This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world
"When Destinies Align" ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html
"Glory to the World" ruclips.net/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/видео.html
"Winds of Transylvania" ruclips.net/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/видео.html.
They also toured with Dragonforce.
But Miho the bassist formed the band to play Iro Maiden style music.
10:05 Japanese and English? LOL. It is ALL English. Lovebites is the rare Japanese band who sings ALL of their songs in 100% English.
And they toured the UK with Dragonforce back in 2019 …
Lovebites if J Metal not rock and their long solos are inspired by Ritchie Blackmore.
The costumes are white so that they can stand out.
The look comes from Visual Kei.
Visual Kei was a style concept invented by X Japan who were in turn inspired by KISS.
Miho the bassist formed the group after her previous band Destrose disbanded
She brought in former Destrose Drummer Haruna to form the band.
Other Visual Kei bands you should check out are
Versailles song Revenant Chior live.
Asami is singing in English albeit her accent is hard to follow at first. You could always put captions on. They actually have great lyrics.
Thank you for your reaction to LOVEBITES.

Have you heard COVID restrictions. clapping only allowed , spaced seating, no standing or singing outpermitted.
Warning , their fans hate reviewers stopping during solos. Unleess yoy backtrack before restarting. loyal followinging , worth a bit of effort : ) btw ,all songs in English, but mix and opertatic style subtitle. Their live shows are restriction free. eg. Raise some. Hell.
The juxtaposition of the look and sound, Japanese call ..The Gap.
all of lovebites songs are in engish only one was sung in japanese
You stop the sound in the middle of a chorus or in the middle of a solo part and talk about what you want to talk about.
Apparently, you are more interested in talking to the audience about the thoughts that come into your head than listening carefully to the music.
If what you have to say is of a quality that would convince me, but I don't think it is.
If you want to put yourself before the music, I suggest you brush your mind and your head a bit more.
LOVEBITES songs all in English.....
No Japanese, all in English.
🤘🏽LOVEBITES RULES🤘🏽
Nine minutes of his waffling while the song has barely started underlines why he has 368 subscribers. Life is too short to endure this "content".
The intro was unnecessarily lengthy. I hit the skip forward button a few times.
Lovebites are not Rock Band like Band Maid, but Metal.
Strictly speaking, Metal is one of the Rock genres. 🤗
Officially: “Rock music is a general name for a number of areas of popular music.
Please note what was written at the end of the video:
LOVEBITES - RIDE FOR VENGEANCE TOUR - MARCH 26, 2021 - TOKYO DOME CITY HALL - JAPAN rock
Nothing personal.
There is nothing wrong if someone said that IRON MAIDEN (who, perhaps in the coming years, will also be inducted into the famous 'Rock and Roll Hall of Fame'), METALLICA or JUDAS PRIEST are rock bands.
'Hellfest Summer Open Air' (in 2017 Midori said that she dreamed of performing at this particular festival) is officially called - "...a rock festival focusing on heavy metal music".😊
Ect.
One could write: 'JAPAN metal' 😊
Not all bands that perform at 'Hellfest Open Air' are metal.🤗 Punk rock bands, such as THE OFFSPRING or UK SUBS, also perform at 'Hellfest'.
Beware of Dean shredding females that are 4 months pregnant.
Imperial age, burning the witches.
JUDASとかの80's好きなら、LoveBitesはハマるね

🐺🤘🏴🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Love Lovebites
wow that was painfully annoying
The wolf pack is howling🤘
People have preferences. It just so happens that you have
It just didn't fit. you react again
You probably won't.
you need to get more out and learn about other cultures the military marching in the beginning has nothing to do with japan is Metallica japanese😂
Ok, you've seen Band Maid and now Lovebites, btw keep reacting to them, some other Japanese bands to check out:
Nemophila - Dissension
Babymetal - Give Me Chocolate
Hanabie - We Love Sweets
MAXIMUM THE HORMONE - Yoshu Fukushu
Galneryus - Angel Of Salvation
Yousei Teikoku - Astral Dogma
Bridear - Ghoul
Wagakki Band - Senbonzakura (1,000 cherry blossoms) They use traditional Japanese instruments as well as western instruments.
DOLL$BOXX - Take My Chance
Unlucky Morpheus - CADAVER/REVADAC They play the song CADAVER then play it backwards note for note, REVADAC.
Dude, 5.50 minuets of hearing you faff on? Yeah, Nah.....
You waffle too much! At 8:47 I left!!
🤟🏻🔥🔥🐺🔥🔥🤘🏻
One word - COVID
Subscribed. LOVEBITES is awesome! I would call them J-Metal. I like your channel. May I suggest a reaction to BABYMETAL. Their music has a positive and uplifting message. They have a fun and awesome performance:
BABYMETAL - PA PA YA!! (feat. F.HERO) (OFFICIAL)
Or:
MAYA【Live Blu-ray/DVD「BABYMETAL BEGINS - THE OTHER ONE -」"BLACK NIGHT"】 🖖 ❤
Absolutely no Japanese Asami sings in English
The longest intro of all reactors not for me bye
Too many pauses right in the midst of a phrase. And do please stop trying to compare Lovebites to other musicians. They are unique, and in the opinion of many, fans and not so fans that I know, THE BEST live band on the planet at this time.
what kind of metalhead are you to stop a video in the middle of guitar solo ?
9 minutes in and still talking , Sam outta here
I dont know if you are searching for the croud or the music ? ..your reaction it's not really interesting, sorry i'm a little in disaccord with your reaction, explain clearly becouse it's quiet confusional.
If you want crowd reactions do any live performance by Versailles, or BabyMetal Headbanger live legend of 1997.
Bad reaction of a depp.
The concert was during covid so they had to be apart and I guess be seated. And they sing all the songs in English only. They'll talk to the crowd in Japanese. I have every one of their CDs they're all in English. She had an accident in all the early CDs and concerts. Check out stuff from Knocking on heaven's gate tour and the album judgment Day she definitely now that they're getting popular has worked on her accent sounds great
I think you meant "accent"...? 😅
Yes, they had to remain in every other seat, no crying, no yelling, no screaming, had to be totally quiet.
Nemophila聴いてみてください
Have you heard anything about the Covid-19 pandemic? Do you know what happened in the world in 2020, 2021 and at the beginning of 2022 ? 🤔
In 2021, the Second Wave of the Covid-19 pandemic began in Japan. But with very strict restrictions :
- Tickets were sold several times less than the concert halls can accommodate spectators (social distance).
That's why they just applauded.👏😷
A little about the professionalism of these ladies and the quality of the music of this band. I could write a lot about the achievements of these ladies. But it will be a very, very big comment. I will limit myself to only two facts:
- LOVEBITES received the 'Golden Gods' from 'Metal Hammer' in 2018 (London, UK). If you are a Metalhead (that's what you say) then you know what the 'Golden Gods' are.😊
- In June 2024, LOVEBITES will perform at 'Hellfest Open Air 2024' (France).
@@mezacharia You're right. I agree with you. This is exactly what I tried to explain to Reactor.
