  • We asked a bunch of trans people what being trans means to them. Where did we land? Well as Jeddon says, 'Each trans person's answer's gonna be different on what it means to them." Sounds perfect to us!

The word transgender is derived from the word transition this would imply that these people have successfully switched gingers unfortunately that is not the case that for transgender people do not exist nor have they ever existed if they did then when they have completed their surgery their bodies would have been capable of doing what the opposite sex is capable of doing unfortunately for them not to rust none of them has been able to do so and to further my point if genitals mean nothing then why are the surgeries and procedures necessary generals don't make you a man or a woman then what is the point of having the surgery to make yourself look like the opposite sex why can't you be happy with what you have it doesn't make sense

I understand your confusion. Here’s a few points.
      1) Gender ≠ Sex. How one presents is their gender, how one is born is their sex.
      2) Some transgender people get SRS (sex reassignment surgery) as it makes them more closely align to how they feel. This kind of body dysmorphia varies between people and extends to even cisgender people (cosmetic plastic surgery).
      3) Some trans people are happy with what they have. Some are not. It varies, just as it does with anyone who wants to alter their appearance. A large factor in making these changes is safety, as being visibly transgender can result in social or even physical harm.
I hope this helps to an extent. I know it’s nuanced and a bit confusing, but I believe humans are far more capable of understanding nuance than the mainstream media likes to think.

Are you suggesting that I'm confused

@@asdsy4475 - It's not confusing, but you seem to be confused. You correctly acknowledge that gender does not equal sex, then you go on to explain that some trans people seek to surgically and chemically transform (mutilate) themselves in a vain attempt become the opposite sex. Changing one's sex is impossible. Everyone is free to explore their gender, insofar as it places no demands onto others. (I will not acknowledge a 'trans' person's delusions.)

@@Shockgaming2-n7f Yes, you clearly were confused, otherwise you wouldn't be asking questions and being rude because you don't understand. Just because you don't have to deal with something and don't understand why others deal with it doesn't mean that they don't struggle. It's like saying no one struggles with depression, anxiety, even things like the flu just because I'm not struggling with any of those things right now.
@asdsy4475 Comprehensively and clearly detailed a few things to help you understand, and I hope you took those things into consideration.
I do honestly wish it was as easy as just accepting our bodies or who we are, but it's not. You can't tell someone to not be depressed, that's not how that works and that's not how body dysmorphia works. If someone doesn't like their body then who are we to say they can't change that? We've made plastic surgery a common thing now, there's makeup and crossdressing, we have the technology to change our genitals so why can't we? It doesn't affect you or anybody else, let them do what they wish with their own body.
Don't be rude to people, love others and accept themselves for who they decide to be, and be nice even if you don't understand them.
