Thank you so much for joining me on the live action one piece journey! Not sure if/when i’ll be doing the anime but if you’re interested in anime adaptations I will be doing ATLA live action!
When/If you decide to react to the anime I really suggest you go with the fan edited One Pace as it cuts a lot of the filler and fixes the horrible pacing of the original anime.
As a one piece fan since the year 2000. I dont recommend the anime but the manga. The pacing gets so horrible its not a good experience for new watchers thats my perspective.
@@donsq4306 I think it depends. Both mediums have their strengths. There are parts of the anime that are atrocious, but people are so quick to forget about all the things it is amazing at. Early anime is outdated, but it had great directors and animators working on it who truly understood how to animate Luffy's powers in a fun way with the technology they had at the time. The episode-covers-less-than-a-chapter era is indeed frustrating, but the voice actors and added little scenes between the Strawhats did in many cases (esp. in the first half of the series) add so much more personality to them than the manga could get across, ESPECIALLY when it comes to the gutwrenching moments in which the anime excels. Not to mention the soundtracks and excellent opening songs. The worst part about the anime IMHO is that the production company sometimes just treated it as a disposable timesink fans would watch regardless of the quality, which IMHO dragged down the overall quality of the series. It's also worth noting the anime has a couple of scenes in it that were never in the manga but that the author has declared as canon.
Have you considered checking out the fanmade teaser called the 'Breathtaking World of One Piece' by Strawhat V? It doesn't really have any spoilers in regards to the story itself, but instead shows a lot of the beauty and depth you can expect from One Piece by focusing on the sceneries and vistas that make up this amazing world.
Garp is insanely strong because of a world mechanic outside devil fruits they haven't explained yet, but I will say that his strength comes from the same place as when Shanks scared off a Sea King.
Garp is an example of not needing a Devil Fruit to make you insanely strong. You'll see more. Probably idk how the live action will be since Garp didn't show up this early in the anime
"Yeah, you're gonna fit right in"...one of the best lines of the season. And it applies to YOU too. Anyone who wears an Aragorn/LOTR themed shirt moves to the top of my reactors/reviewers! Truth...even without the shirt you did an awesome job with this series. One of the best ensemble casts since Firefly. Have a Blessed rest of your week.
The best reaction to this show hands down you got everything your guesses are on point you're really watching not missing a beat please start the journey we're with you
MVP at the Arlong park fight is Usopp,..yes only took one fishman but that fishman was probably the most lethal with his spitballs took him off playing field and sneakily took him out !
Most of the voice actors of the Anime also provide the dubbed voices of their characters for this live action series shown in Japan. Where it has also been well recieved.
5:25 He's still a human (specifically a rubber human). He can bleed and die, and even be injured by powerful enough blunt hits, but because his body now has the properties of rubber, he is very resistant to blunt hits and can stretch and bounce. But because rubber is fairly easy to cut or puncture, he can be cut or stabbed just like anyone else. That's his primary weakness at this point in the story.
Garp is just insanly strong like he threw cannonballs with his hands instead of a cannon. He could have 1 shotted luffy if he wanted to but he took it easy on him cause he was testing him.
To answer some questions: -Zoro doesn't like Sanji because of his irrational over-the-top chuvalry (which is much stronger in the manga). Zoro does not suffer fools easily. (He even has his moments with Luffy sometimes, but you won't be seeing that in a while.) -Sanji doesn't like Zoro because he's jealous of Zoro's role as second best fighter, and wants to take that role for himself. -On Garp returning, think on this: Garp is a Vice-Admrial, the third-highest rank in the Navy. He is also known as "Hero of the Marines", as the man who captured the Pirate King, Gold Roger, amonsgt other great feats. Do you think he might be important enough to appear again?
One of Garp's nom de guerre (warrior nicknames) is "Garp The Fist," and "The Hero of The Navy." Also, you'll see that Zoro and Sanji have a brotherly type of competitive relationship. One last thing: If you watch One Piece... WATCH THE SUBTITLED VERSION! The Japanese VA cast are just as iconic as the show itself :)
This was so good. I'm seriously OBSESSED with the Live Action adaptation they absolutely NAILED it with their adaptation of the East Blue Saga. I'm kinda upset that they had to cut the final episode short for time and couldn't adapt the actual manga accurate finale of the saga, but it was amazing nonetheless
Thank you very much for joining us and living this incredible adventure, without a doubt this season left us with many feelings, the second season will be more epic, believe me, many incredible characters They will appear, you can react to the anime you would also see how big and detailed the story is, because unfortunately the second season will be out in a year ❤️🩹
14:39 Garp doesn't really come in in the anime till later because his primary area is within the Grand Line but the live action introduced him way earlier and has shown much more of Koby than the anime so perhaps they will continue on with that in season 2. Personally with the quality the live action has shown I would like to see them get several more seasons to see how they handle later villains, battles and a certain raccoon dog.
The “you’re on your own now” doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t see him again, more so of like “I used my resources to protect you, but from here on out, I’m going to treat you like any other pirate”
I hope you start the reaction journey for One Piece because it may be very long but it’s definitely worth it 💯 I know you want to wait for the remake version but it’s not confirm when it’ll come out so it might be a while. Overall it’s up to you but I think you’ll love the journey it’ll take you on 😌
5:20 Not seeing anyone specify in the comments so to clarify at the risk of being redundant, Luffy's devil fruit ability makes him like rubber so he's basically immune to blunt damage like Alvida's club or getting shot by round bullets, but he's still weak to slicing/cutting damage from sharp weapons like Arlong's sword, as well as Kuro's cat claws, whom we also saw make him bleed.
That's One Heck of a "Jolly Roger" ! :)) Thank you my new Fellow "Nakama" One Piece term Meaning: "Friend" in Japanese. :) It was Awesome and fun and Great ride, watching your Reaction Videos in RUclips Land. Take Care! and Peace! :D
12:02 Oh yeah, he is very strong, no devil fruit needed. It's all training and technique, just like Mihawk. It's not realistic, but this is an anime world where those things are possible just with a regular human body, plus the application of a power system that we haven't had explained to us yet at this point in the story. Which kinda makes devil fruits seem pointless, until you remember that there is nothing stopping devil fruit users from training to that point, too.
In the original, after Usopp played dead he started to try to think up excuses for why he didn't win. And as he started rehearsing what he'd say, he realized how pathetic he was and that he couldn't live with himself since everyone else was suffering fighting against Arlong's crew. So he stood up and taunted the fishman, then tricked him into thinking he would shoot something besides the fire thing, which is when he shot the bottle with fire causing Chu to burst into flames. He used his lying to win the fight.
19:34 You do raise an interesting question though. One piece fans, would (the character we saw just then who shall remain nameless for spoilers apart from saying we saw him in the opening scene) be a fan of Edgar Allen Poe? I'm not sure what kind of books that character would like, or if he is even that literary.
I can't imagine how they gonna be able to continue this live action. How can they do the whole cake islands arc or even the fight against Kaido?? Imagine the budget needed! Dam!
I didn't start the anime until this year and I'm like 14 years older than Emme's age and I agree 870 episodes in with NO REGRETS. It's one of the best stories ever. If not THE best.
Because Luffy is made of rubber, being bludgeoned doesn't affect him very much at all. However, rubber can be cut and pierced, so slashing and stabbing attacks will still harm him like a regular person. Whoever that guy at the end was, we know he's definitely a smoker.
i recomend that you react for each one of the arcs more tha for each chapter, its gona be faster and easier for you i think and let you time for react to other thngs. anyway its jst my recomendation, do wath u think its best eather way you gonna love One Piece!

Here, what could hurt luffy as a rubber ? 6:00 : He was in a "coma" when Sanji fighting the fishmen, he only see him as a waiter. So he doesn't know it was a cook. So his value seems pointless for Zoro. 8:25 : Sanji used (as a french cook) french's words for his fight's style, and these words link to the cooking of course.(Chicken/frying etc...in french). 11:45 : If someone have a devil fruit, they always tell to the enemy. So here no fruit, but something else that you gonna learn in S2 (maybe or S3) or in the Anime. Don't forget Monkey D Garp is a Vice Amiral , it's really really strong but not the strongest in the Marine. Yeeeeeeeees you won’t regret to watch one piece!!! It’s my religion! In 2 days is my birthday (1.2.) and I have a appointment for a tattoo! It will be a Strawhat (of course) on my neck.. and I’m sure I won’t regret it ( will be my first tattoo!) 😊 (ps don’t do shanks tattoo! I think he’s a bad guy! 😁) keep it going! Btw.. the anime is 70% better than the live action in my opinion.. but I enjoyed the LA also 😊 THE ONE PIECE IS REEEAAAAAAAL! ! ! ! ! 🖤
- There will be an explanation about Garp's strength deep into the series and this explanation will be an important one for the series. - There are a lot of characters much much much stronger than Garp in the series but you won't get to see them right away as sometimes they will only be mentioned by name or probably just a glimpse/silhoutte of them. These characters' strength will probably be only shown in full starting in season 4 or 5. - It will become more and more interesting with each story arcs. A lot of crazy things in Grand Line are awaiting. Not only you will see a lot of characters and storylines, you will see a wealth of characters development with the Straw-Hat Pirates. - If you loved this live action, you'd definitely love the anime/manga. But, it will be quite a homework to catch up. Don't exert yourself, just enjoy the journey if you choose to do so.
@@benediktmathes2528 SPOILER (manga) . . . . . . Yes, pardon my lack of clarity. Of course, Garp is one of the strongest as shown in Egghead. But what I meant was "hypothetically stronger" with characters like Whitebeard, Blackbeard, Kaidou etc since not only they can unleash Haki but also their devil fruit powers are special. Garp lacks a special devil fruit power therefore I ranked special devil fruit users above him. Nevertheless, Garp was badly injured by Shiryu, a special devil fruit user who's probably not physically stronger than Garp but his devil fruit ability gave him an "advantage" over Garp. Hence for me, Shiryu is "stronger" than Garp, where "stronger" meaning in overall/total physical strength plus skills and abilities, not just physical strength per se.
@@guitarfreak888 . . . . . Roger also had none and could clash evenly with Whitebeard in his prime. Kaido even says that devil fruits are not that important. There are multiple others that are regarded amongst the strongest that don't have a devil fruit, like Shanks and Mihawk. Also Garp only got hit because he took the blade to save Koby and afterwards still trashed Shiryu and was then nearly equal with Kuzan... I don't particularly like power scaling, but even I know that if you really think that Shiryu is stronger than Garp, you are delusional.
@@benediktmathes2528 SPOILER (manga) . . . . . Look, for me nothing is set in stone unless it has been shown in the source material. As long it's not shown then everything is up to interpretation so my interpretation could differ from yours. I agree with you that Garp is one of the strongest as has been shown and told by the narrative throughout the story arcs. But my "interpretation" for it is that Garp is still "hypothetically not as strong" as those that have an "advantage", with "strong" not meaning "physical strength per se". Shiryu is probably a poor example but he did manage to "gain an advantage" over Garp due to his special power. For me, this is from what had been shown. If it had been shown that Garp managed to rescue Koby successfully without breaking a sweat, overpowering Shiryu and Kuzan, then it's a testament to Garp's supposedly absurd strength and I would say otherwise, ranking Garp up a level. But what had been shown was, old Garp was "blindsided" getting injured heavily by Shiryu and "hypothetically" the "blow" wasn't even from a "hypothetically stronger" upper-echelone character. So for me, this is what was deliberately shown by Oda and I understand this is all still up for debate/interpretation. So no, I'm not delusional, it's just me interpreting what had been shown up until now. So my OG comment was basically just trying to explain to Emme as simple as possible about the "hypothetical power-scaling" (which is of course up for debate in nature). I'm just saying to her that there are a lot of beasts that's "hypothetically much stronger" like Whitebeard, Blackbeard, Kaidou, Sengoku, Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru, Fujitora etc etc down the road.
If you're going to watch the anime there are some considerations. There is a remake from Netflix coming in the future which will have updated animation if you feel like you want to wait for that. It's the same animators as the Attack On Titan anime (I believe). The 2nd is whether to watch with english subtitles or with the english dubs. Do what you prefer, but know that most of the fans prefer watching reactors watch the subtitles version so if you watch the dubbed version and put it on youtube you'll more than likely get less views than you were expecting.
Netflix gonna remake the anime version so I suggest you watch it, this live series is well-made can't deny but the anime always better or you can watch the original one 😂
Reacting to the show would really grow your channel, but it is also a phenomenonally large task to edit. Watching it without reacting would allow you to watch the entire series in a much shorter amount of time, but you would miss out on sharing it with your followers. Either way, watching the full anime, and choosing whether to skip certain fillers is definitely my recommendation. If reacting, there are some filler arcs that are loved by anime fans, like G8, but some fillers that most reacters choose to skip.
About Luffy can get hurt or not, let's just say rubber can stand blunt object but not sharp object. Zoro and Sanji doesn't hate each other, it's just a stupid rivalry between bros lol
I am still watching the anime getting close to episode 400. I hear the Manga is excellent as well. Not sure how you would do a reaction when there are 1000 episodes. Onepiece has a format that is a lot like Naruto or Dragon Ball Z. It can take 3 to 4 episodes or more to resolve one scene or fight. These 8 live-action episodes cover the first 60 Anime basically(though some things were changed and pulled from later episodes, such as Luffy's grandfather being introduced much earlier in the live-action, than he is in the anime). - But if you do a reaction, you may want to do multiple episodes as one reaction release.
If you ever jump on the anime adventure, my best advice is to learn to skip the intro, recaps and outro. One Piece typically has 15min of content per episode so those extra 10min add up when we're talking 1000+ episodes.
Alot of people didn’t understand it but Luffy actually thought usopp defeated the fish man by himself and only had a little help from zoro and sanji you see this more in the manga where Luffy is just flat out dum and truly believes usopp even Thoe he knows usopp is a lier
I hope you do watch the anime, even if we don't get to see your reactions. As great as the live action is, the anime is 3x better. They get to take so much more time with the stories, characters, and worldbuilding that everything hits harder. But if you do, do yourself a favor. One Piece has more emotional depth than any story I've seen. If you're trying to stop the tears and hold back the emotions, you're doing yourself a disservice. Let yourself experience it.
If you are interested, just read it on your own. It's a really really really good story and definitely up there with the fantasy greats like LotR. Anime is sadly kinda mid for the most part. While the high points in the anime are extremely high, you have to suffer through 95% mediocre animation quality and pacing 😐
You can always read the manga in a couple weeks, if you're hungry for more story! You were right about Sanji's finishing moves, they're all food preparation/cooking terms, essentially treating the opponents body like livestock
Thank you so much for joining me on the live action one piece journey! Not sure if/when i’ll be doing the anime but if you’re interested in anime adaptations I will be doing ATLA live action!

Btw.. the anime is 70% better than the live action in my opinion.. but I enjoyed the LA also 😊 THE ONE PIECE IS REEEAAAAAAAL! ! ! ! !
SPOILER (manga)
What? Much stronger than Garp? Garp is one of the strongest. Even in his old age. Egghead proofs that.

I'm just saying to her that there are a lot of beasts that's "hypothetically much stronger" like Whitebeard, Blackbeard, Kaidou, Sengoku, Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru, Fujitora etc etc down the road.
the honest trailer for one piece is good too
You don’t have to wait for LA season2, you can just watch anime episode 45 and continue the journey from there👍🏻
If you watch the anime in your own time you could maybe make a per-arc review/reaction ;)))
I would like to see your reactions to the One Piece anime. That show has a LOT of filller though, so you may want to look for an abridged version.
Plz watch the animeeeeee ❤we would love to see your reaction
One Piece is a Masterpiece!
It would be awesome if you reacted to the anime! Even if its just up until Arlong Park 👍
Jolly Roger. The pirate flag is called a Jolly Roger.
Watch for The Breathtaking world of One Piece and you'll be able to get a glimpse into the world of One Piece without spoilers.
It's already come to an end 😢
Reacting to the show would really grow your channel, but it is also a phenomenonally large task to edit. Watching it without reacting would allow you to watch the entire series in a much shorter amount of time, but you would miss out on sharing it with your followers. Either way, watching the full anime, and choosing whether to skip certain fillers is definitely my recommendation. If reacting, there are some filler arcs that are loved by anime fans, like G8, but some fillers that most reacters choose to skip.
Never understood the love for G-8 when it broke canon on the first episode
About Luffy can get hurt or not, let's just say rubber can stand blunt object but not sharp object.
Zoro and Sanji doesn't hate each other, it's just a stupid rivalry between bros lol
Could I recommend the Cinematics for Warhammer 40,000 to react to.
I think Luffy's Grandpa is "meat strong" - it's all those steaks...
-
But if you do a reaction, you may want to do multiple episodes as one reaction release.
Highest bounty in the east blue not the whole world
Gorgeous woman with such an attractive voice❤
React to the breathtaking world of one piece
If you ever jump on the anime adventure, my best advice is to learn to skip the intro, recaps and outro. One Piece typically has 15min of content per episode so those extra 10min add up when we're talking 1000+ episodes.
ahora el anime !!!!
Live action wont reach season 15+ anyways, just so you know, Garp can destroy the whole island in 1 punch
Hope you jump to the anime 🎉🎉❤❤
I'm sorry I'm just now subscribing. My bad 😅
If you watch the anime, I hope you enjoy it!
❤
If you are interested, just read it on your own. It's a really really really good story and definitely up there with the fantasy greats like LotR.
Anime is sadly kinda mid for the most part. While the high points in the anime are extremely high, you have to suffer through 95% mediocre animation quality and pacing 😐
You can always read the manga in a couple weeks, if you're hungry for more story! You were right about Sanji's finishing moves, they're all food preparation/cooking terms, essentially treating the opponents body like livestock
Yes the attack moves that Sanji calls out are the French names for specific cuts of meat and correspond to the areas of Sangi strikes.
WWWWWWWW
The crew is good, but their ship is the GOAT.
... sorry.
woa, you are a very beautiful women. i love you. kind regards
If you do do it dubbed everybody does subbed the dub does actually pretty good
read the manga instead of watching the anime. the anime is far too long
if you need a tissue in live action believe me you will need a bucket when you watch the anime
🔥
