Omg, THANK YOU for sharing this! I had a crazy week until today (day 1 of period) where I feel "regulated" again. I hadn't heard of PMDD until maybe a couple of years ago, and never thought it might be something that could be affecting me. Defintely gonna do some data collection over my next few cycles and pay close attnetion. Thank you for everything you put out on this channel. Feels like serendipity that I came across this today!
Pmdd is the worst of all the multiple conditions that i experience. Its relentless and impacts everything everything. Its sensitivity to the hormonal fluctuations as far as i understand.
It's related to inflammation. My wife has suffered with pmdd for 14 years and I tirelessly researched everything. I started thinking about going the holistic route and was referred to Dr Achina Stein. She has a video called "what if it's not depression" on RUclips and after I watched it, everything started to make sense. The majority of autoimmune and depression issues are related to our gut health, trauma and serious illness. My wife has returned to her self for the last 2 months after being bedridden for the previous 9 months, and I am so thankful I found this information.
I just started taking 10 mg of Prozac for this on top of Wellbutrin for MDD. It was hard to get a diagnosis until I got into a partial program and talked with the psychiatric nurse. My MDD and anxiety ramped up the week before my period on top of ALL the other psychology symptoms. Paranoia was a big one too. Hopefully this cycle will not be as bad as I will have had a month's worth of the Prozac in my system. Almost thought about getting back on BC, but I've been without it for so long and now that I'm over 35 those hormones worry me even more. It was actually your videos that helped me to get off of BC and start tracking my cycle. ☺️
Thank you for posting this!! I am having the same symptoms after having my two boys and thought I was going insane. I’m suspecting I have PMDD as well and I have ADHD.
Im getting accupunture now. I have had good results w that for treating other things but you have to get enough treatments at first to help reset your body and then you can back off to monthly maintence.
Know of this for two years and that explains a lot for me, summer is easier but a lot of things are easier in summer, so this fall in addition to other challenges PMDD hits hard. This last month I really stepped up my diet and supplement stuff and it was a lot beter, expecting my period any day now! I think the main changes this month were drinking St Johns Wort tea every day of Luteal and doubling my Wild yam from 500mg a day to 1000mg a day during luteal phase.
Girlfriend, if you feel better in the summer months, look into your vitamin d levels! Low vitamin d is related to inflammation and inflammation is related to mood disorders
My SSRI is one I take everyday because it has to build up in your system, but I'm pretty sure there are options that you can just take for the week or two that your PMDD is it's worse.
Cutting out CARBS and sugar helped me soooooo much for this. Keto did wonders

Those with ADHD are more likely to have PMDD, which I found fascinating.
Thanks for this video! There's also some interesting research on acupuncture being a good treatment for PMDD.

This was really interesting, thanks! Do you take the SSRI everyday or just the week before your period?
What are SSRI?
My SSRI is one I take everyday because it has to build up in your system, but I'm pretty sure there are options that you can just take for the week or two that your PMDD is it's worse.
💛
So I have a solid 10/11 😳
