Nice job George. My son has been complaining about a vibe in his 520d that he has been chasing without success and so I forwarded this video straight to him. Hearing that you spent 40 to 50 quid on the mounts made me smile as it reminded me that back in the mid 70's I used to pay less that half that (about 17 quid)for a whole exhaust system for my Corsair 2000E if I fitted it myself. Back then they were made of mild steel and you were lucky to get 18 months out of them before they rotted out. I still have some spare rubber mounts (amongst other stuff) for it believe it or not and have lugged them around with me as I have moved around the world over the years. One day I will use them for something ...

Haha brilliant, pretty much all bmw exhausts are stainless steel so they seem to last forever!

Pretty sure that every single issue you post about on the e60 I have but I have them a few weeks before you and go through the heart ache of working the problem out and then getting it sorted to then have a video of yours pop up talking about the exact same thing. So I’d appreciate it if you would some how have problems sooner…thanks. 😂😂😂😂

First class video and much respect for doing that kind of job on your back, on your driveway. By unplugging the O2 sensor gave me an idea - how about a short video on sensor cleaning? There are O2 sensors and MAF / MAP sensors to go at. Might only gain 1 mpg and possibly some extra power, but its a gain.

    • @GeorgeAusters

The is a guy called Outdoor gear review that has a 3 min outro I cannot stop listening to. Probably I am the last guy on earth to have worked this out and so apologies for the ramble.
