Churrasco = Barbecue. What he said about barbecue without sauce made sense, since we don't use barbecue sauce here. Our barbecue is mostly just coarse salt on beef, cooked over firewood or coal on an open fire, without smoking. If you have a brazilian stakehouse near you I recommend recording an episode trying it, it is a complete different experience than american barbecue. Cheetos flavor was requeijão, which is a kind of soft cheese only found here in Brazil, like cream cheese in texture but different in taste. The tortuguita we usually have a ritual to eat them. We torture it. We start with their paws, followed by tail, head, then body. The chocolate is really not great.
Well now we're interested in trying some brazilian barbecue! (and wish we could taste exclusive brazilian cheese :D) A tryout vid sounds like a neat idea, so we'll have to see what's around us. And glad to hear we're not the only ones to torture the tortuguitas, whew. Thanks so much!

Snackcrates are lots of fun! We love when we get really unique items/flavors. Thanks! We're both from Baltimore, a city in the northeast. The Baltimore accent has been described as sounding somewhat southern though. 😄

We even moved more north of Baltimore more than 15 years ago. Those were def a bunch of exciting places to visit! We've only driven through them.
