Junk mail, Kleenex/cereal type box, catalogs, greeting cards, blank paper you color with markers or paint…so many paper options. You can roll multiple strips together if your paper is thin like magazine page. Don’t forget you can add color to your magazine etc paper too prior to rolling. On thick paper triangular strips I like to run a Sharpie in a gold or silver or black down the edges to cover the white paper core. I find school glue or craft glue works well for me. I paint the ends of tube beads (the flat white ends) in gold or silver paint as an alternative to a bead cap. You can hold you bead at the end of a bamboo skewer to apply your glaze - I like Diamond Glaze unless I’m dip glazing a lot of beads at once. I have seen a lot of tutorials but no one showed the chip clip to hold the end down to dry, so I learned something today! That is really helpful for thick paper.
How did I not know you had a second channel? I'm happy to be here though, I can't get enough of your boho style jewelry! and I'm kind of psyched because now I have a bunch more Jody videos to watch ❤️
Happy I found you Jody. I always wanted to make paper beads but was cautious. You have thrown all of my caution out the window and now I have a new hobby. 😵💫
GOOD JOB JODY! Thank You, what a welcome surprise. Enjoyed the class on paper beads. I like you just started and wanted to share with Us. I like Ms Rhonda's 3325 comment, I had to laugh. Enjoy your Day.
I think it is a great idea! I'm silly because I do paper quilling and I have the tools for making the paper beads, just never thought of doing it! Thank you! I am going to have to try making some beads.💜
Love these and I like the fact you used bead caps and beads with this. Way cool I love it cant wait to try some and look forward to more tutorials from you.
I love these!! I tried a while back but i used a chopstick, and they were terrible to try to put a bead cap on.. and i eventually tossed them.. i will look for the tool!! Thank you so very much my dear friend 🦋🌼🌺 Hugs!!
Hi there 👋👋. 💕💕💕 LOVE these beads❤. FYI: Try Art Glitter Glue. It's used in jewelry making, dries almost instantly, is SUPER strong and works really great for paper beads. I guarantee you will love it. TFS this was a fun video. Ginger and my little Gertie 🐕🐕🐕💕
Very pretty, that tool reminded me of the "key" that comes with tinned corned beef 😂 I took advice from another to buy the smaller tubes of glue, lot less waste. Trying e 8000 at the moment, so far so good. It has a applicator tip also. Prices vary as expected. Take care ❤
Another idea for cleaning fingers is using a small section of anti-bacterial dish sponge in a shallow dish. Moisten sponge before and then wash out after doing gluey messy crafts. Lots of Love, Light and Laughter Forever!
Great video Jody! I've been looking for one for paper beads. And I love the idea to embellish them! 😊 Question. I thought you were to avoid contact with skin when using E6000 so I've always hesitated using it. Is there something else you would recommend using? Maybe Elmer's school glue?
Hi Jody. Love both your channels. A question: do you know of a tool which “melts” or “solders” the crimp bead inside a clamshell closure? It has an electric arc. I saw it on RUclips. But can’t find it. My crimps do not hold. I NEED this tool. Thank you so much. Karen from California.
I think it’s a jewelry welder. Otherwise I’m not sure. Can I ask what crimp tubes or beads you use? I used to have problems too until I started using the beadalon crimps #2 size. Very rarely do I have an issue now! They are a little pricier than others but totally worth it! Thank you so much for reaching out and for all your support!
@@jodykrontzthanks so much Jody. I use various crimps and don’t know the makers. The problem is that I don’t crimp well even tho I practice. I need something that i am SURE won’t break.

Hi Jody, these are super pretty thanks for sharing 🌸🌼🌸
Thank you! 😊 I hope you make some! They are really fun to make!
Love these! I've made cloth beads and I use tacky glue (like mod podge) which eliminates the need clear nail polish step.
This is a great tip! Thank you! 😊

Oh my gosh! It does look like that! Oh I may have to try the 8000!
I use mailers ! Keep your eyes open for interesting paper in surprising places!
Oh that’s a great idea!!! I knew there would be something useful for junk mail! 😊

You can absolutely use Elmer’s! I would definitely put some mod podge or clear polish over it too!
Also, probably should wear gloves when I use E-6000, I think I’m immune 😅
