Another tip for long faces is to use a hard plastic headband as opposed to the fabric ones that go all the way around your head. The round shape of the plastic kind makes our heads look rounder while the fabric ones hug the shape of our heads emphasizing how narrow they are.

Yeah that wasn’t clear. I think the long face shape recommendations were applicable because diamond has length > width. But the not to do were more specific limitations that not all long shapes have
Im a headband and hair clip girlie because my hair doesn’t have any which way it likes to stick to and even looking at my phone I become cousin IT and I have to re-part. You want to get headbands by your face shape. Try a whole bunch of styles on with clean hair that doesn’t have too much product on, nor any foundation. You don’t want to get foundation on ones you don’t want and I only say not too many products on the hair because of people’s allergies and leaving residue. But I can tell you why this one doesn’t work unless your hair is up. It’s because your temple area is your widest area I think. The scrunch of the sports headband behind the ear causes it to look wider with the hair down and I think the band is too flat and thick. You might need to curl and add volume to the hair to widen the area and negate the issues. I would think embellished skinny headbands would work well for you as well as knotted. Again, I’m not quite sure of your face shape since it was less than a second glance and you should just go try some on at Nordstrom’s or Anthro which both tend to have plenty of options on headband styles unless you can find a hair accessory store like a lele sadoughi store.

I wear flat fabric headbands almost every day (a bit like the ones you find at Stradivarius, Bershka, etc.) but I wear box braids and I have a round face. Thanks for the video but how could I wear it with my braids? Sorry if my English doesn't seem understandable I use the translator on my phone, the language I understand best and French (I understand English but just forming sentences is hard)
Just leave them out in the front! If they are longer, then just do as it was shown in the vid, the shorter parts will naturally fall out and u can help by pulling them out. I have side/ curtain bangs too and it works really well !
Maybe u should first look at the colour, thickness, style or other characteristics of your glasses frame… for example if they are the thick/chunky type the headband shouldn’t be too thick or have too many embellish. Look for something thinner or more delicate. It must complement your glasses to avoid yourself looking weird.
